Chapter Eleven

The next day, in the morning, Chloe was walking past a room but, got distracted by what was written on the door. "Do not enter!", she read. "Something interesting must be behind this door", she concluded. She looked down and saw the small box and collected the key to the door inside it. She unlocked the door and got in.
She saw it was a hidden library behind the door all along. "What's in this library that made people to put out a caution message at the door?", she asked, feeling confused. She picked out a book from one of the shelves. The book was titled;"How to conquer demons."
"This book is really big. Maybe conquering demons is really a long process", she chuckled. "Well...demons aren't attacking me so, I don't need it", she kept the book back to its place.
Chloe kept on searching for a book she would love to read. "Not this one", "No!", or "Not needed", she would say whenever she'd pick books that didn't interest her.
While looking through the shelves, someone ran past her. She turned and saw no one. She saw it as nothing, it was just an imagination and she continued looking through shelves, to find a book she would love to read.
An evil creature, was on the shelf Chloe was searching for books in. It was planning to attack her from the top without her knowledge. When about to use its sharp claws to attack Chloe, Ethan got into the room.
"What are you doing here Chloe?", he asked. The monster hid and ran away.
"Uhmmmm...I just came here to pick a book", she replied. "Breakfast's ready!", Ethan told her. "Oh! I'll be there", she replied.
Ethan walked away from the room. Chloe looked round the library. "A lot of books but I can't even find one that will get my attention", she said. She then left the room and closed the door. The evil monster came out behind a shelf, looking really angry for not getting Chloe.
* * *The next day, Darcie was cleaning up her room. She went to the window to dust off its panes when she saw people dressed on black, beside their house, in front of cemetery. She watched them and noticed they were conducting a ritual. She also found out Mr Black was the one leading them in the ritual. "Is Mr Black a black arts member too?", she was in deep shock. "I need to go inform the rest", she ran out of the room.
The clique came out of the mansion and started walking towards where the people were. "Mr Black needs to explain a lot of things to us", said Finley.
"You aren't going to attack them because...", Mr Black raised a clay pot, filled with small bones high up. "...Black is for us", the rest replied. He brought down the pot and turned to others. "The ritual is over", he told them.
"I hate to ask but, why were Mr Gabriel and his wife attacked?", someone in the crowd asked. "It's because they had no faith in me", replied Mr Black.
Another person saw the clique coming and informed their Master, Mr Black. "What are these doing here?", Mr Black tried concealing some of their spiritual objects.
"What's going on here?", asked Darcie. Mr Black, trying to give an excuse, was stammering. "I think they're doing a ritual", Finley concluded.
"No! It's not what it seems", he defended. "Relax! We also do black magic. You don't need to hide anything from us", Dave smiled.
"Oh really! I never knew that! I was just performing a ritual to make these dead people rest in peace", Mr Black opened up. The clique nodded in response.
After some time, he asked;"Are you guys really devoted to the black arts?" "Well...", Dave thought, "I would say we aren't really strong members of the black arts. Our main purpose is just the powers we're benefitting. Our Master's trying his best to make us devoted in witchcraft", he said.
"Hmm", Mr Black felt a little bit disgusted. "Satan isn't the strongest God you know?" "You're talking about Christ?", Ethan asked with confusion.
"No no! There's another more powerful Being than the both of them", Mr Black emphasized.
"Well... we're fine on our own way...maybe we'll talk about that later", said Amber. Mr Black frowned his face angrily without the clique noticing it.
Amber thought of something in her mind;"These demons have been tormenting me but, from what I'm hearing, they'll never do so again. Now, I can live my life without having fears."
Ethan saw her in deep thought and tapped on her back. She came back to herself. "What were you thinking of?", he whispered to her. "Nothing important", she answered.
"Mr Black...we're so sorry for interrupting your ritual", Darcie apologized. "There's no problem, I understand very well and besides...we were already done before you came", he replied joyfully. The clique greeted others and headed for the mansion.
Mr Black felt so relieved when they walked away. "No one should let those friends know anything about us lest, the person dies", he warned his people. They all nodded their heads in agreement.
