Chapter Fourteen

Mr Black was performing a ritual in his house. He was sitting in front of fire. He was pouring olive oil into it. "All those ghosts are all under my control. These new tenants of mine are going to die a very painful death", he laughed. He then poured some oil again. "I have very foolish followers. They think I'm on their side. They're all scraps", he laughed aloud and poured some oil once more into the fire. He bowed to it;"All hail Mr Black!" He got up and walked up to his mirror hanging on the wall behind him. The mirror then displayed a picture of a priest.
"Look at him! He wants to turn my followers against me", he said looking angry. Mr Black turned back to the fire and said;"But I can't! I'm almost done in achieving my goal...that's why I won't let him ruin my plans." He turned back to the mirror and smiled;"And I think there's still one way of achieving my goal and kill these followers and tenants and more to come."
Mr Black walked round the place. "I'll call on the spirit of the late Mr Peter and send it to him", he said. He headed to the mirror and added;"I need to get him off my way." The priest's picture disappears while Amber's picture then replaced it. "And as for you...", he chuckled, "...I'll make sure you get entertained this night, before your bedtime." He turned back to the fire. "Let the fun begin!", he laughed aloud, looking up to the sky.

The priest dressed in his pyjamas was on his bed. He just finished praying the rosary and hung it on his neck and then, went to sleep. His sleep was disturbed not long after by a hooting owl outside. "Why this night? I really need to sleep", he complained. The owl increased the intensity of it's voice. The priest sat up, hitting the bed a couple of times, feeling so annoyed. He kept calm when he heard someone walked past his room slowly. "Did someone just break into my house?", he asked faintly. "I'll go find out", he thought. He got off the bed and walked up to the door. He opened it slowly and quietly and left the room, leaving the door wide open.
He walked down the corridor quietly. When he was walking past the rest room, the sound of his rest room mirror shattering was heard. He reversed his steps and entered the rest room. He saw the toilet paper scattered all over the floor. He looked at the wall and saw the mirror that had been hanging on the wall was shattered, only a small part of it was still hanging. He felt so astonished and wondered what must have shattered his mirror. He felt someone walked past the rest room and quickly ran out yo see who it was but saw no one. He came out completely from the rest room, so confused to know what to do next.
Mr Peter's ghost was crawling above the priest. It looked hungry; the stomach grumbling and it salivating. Saliva was dropping out of his mouth to the ground. As it crawled and became directly above the priest, some saliva landed on his head. He felt something dropped on his head. He looked up but saw nothing there. "Where did this come from?", he rubbed his fingers against each other and felt the thing to be slimy. He rubbed the substance against the wall and suddenly heard a strange sound behind him. He turned quickly and saw someone standing at one place.
"Who's there?", the priest asked but got no response. He walked closer to the person and saw the person was dressed in heavy clothing. "Why's the person not even moving a muscle?", he thought. When he then approached the person, he turned the person towards him. It was a human skeleton he saw; something totally out of his imagination. He sat on the floor in shock. He stood up after some seconds and moved backwards slowly, away from the skeleton.
The skeleton was walking towards him as he was walking away backwardly. He saw this and ran away. The skeleton began chasing after him. The priest ran to the stairs and headed down, trying to run away from the house. The skeleton was close behind him and was able to get hold of the priest's leg at the stairs. As the priest fought to be released, he fell off, rolling down the stairs.
He got up after the fall and ran to open the door and leave. The skeleton was still chasing after him. On reaching the door, it opened itself and a strong force pushed him back into the house. A man stained with blood from head to toe walked in. His white garment was drenched in blood so much that, blood was dripping from it. The priest turned back and forth, gasping in terror. The ghost and the skeleton were both walking closer to him, with him being centered. He moved away to the right, walking backwards. They still followed slowly and both now stood in front of him.
The priest now knelt down and brought out the rosary that was on his neck. He began praying silently, holding the rosary in his hands. The ghost and skeleton both jumped to devour him but it seemed there was something, like a force field, stopping them from harming the priest. They tried a lot in passing through but, they couldn't. The both soon began feeling itchy. They rolled on the floor, making weird noises. The priest was still praying all this while. Their bodies glowed up and they disappeared. The priest felt they'd gone and opened his eyes. After seeing they'd really gone, he bowed down and said in a low tone;"Thank you, Father!" He got up and sat on his couch, panting greatly and sweating.
