Chapter Fifteen

"Good night Amber!", Darcie greeted her. Amber greeted back and she closed her room door. "Sweet dreams!", Darcie then headed for her own room.
Thirty minutes later, Amber woke up from sleep. She was very thirsty. "I need to drink some water", she thought. She got off the bed and left the room. She went down the stairs and headed for the refrigerator. She opened it and saw blood flowing out of it quickly. She moved backwards and saw the refrigerator was normal; no blood was flowing out. She quickly picked up a bottle of water and drank to her satisfaction and dropped the remaining water back in the fridge. She ran to the stairs and was about running up when she saw someone standing at the top of the staircase. She couldn't see the person's face clearly as the whole place was very dark.
The anonymous person began stepping down the stairs and Amber was walking backwards as the person kept on stepping down. The person stopped going down when Amber got to the bottom of the stairs. Amber saw this and stopped walking. Terror had clearly taken over her. She blinked her eyes and didn't see the person that was in front of her again. Suddenly, someone wounded her hands round Amber's belly. She struggled to get off from the stranger's hands. She got more scared and struggled with more effort until she saw blood dropping on her cloth. The stranger threw her away out of anger and she smashed her head to the wall. She fell to the floor, falling into unconsciousness. Before she fell into unconsciousness though, the ghost walked up to her and she was able to see the face clearly. It was ghost of the Peter's only daughter.
"What does this girl want from me?", she asked herself. She then began to lose blood from her head and fell unconscious slowly as the ghost watched her. When the ghost saw she had completely fainted, still losing blood, little by little, she smiled and disappeared.
Darcie came out of her room and was heading for the stairs. She was passing by Amber's room and saw it was wide open. She walked into the room and didn't see Amber in it. "Where could she be? I have to find out where she is right now", she thought. She got into Amber's rest room and came out, still not finding her. She left the room to check on Amber elsewhere.
On her way to going down the stairs, she saw Amber on the floor, unconscious with blood around flowing out of her head. "Amber!", she yelled, ran down to help her. She tried carrying Amber up but, she wasn't able to. She sat by her crying. "What happened to you?", Darcie asked the unconscious Amber. She wiped off her tears and ran upstairs to call the rest. "Guys! Guys! Amber's down! She needs our help!", she yelled, calling on them. Amber was left on the floor as she ran up to call the rest.

Next morning; a doctor was examining Amber, who was still unconscious on her bed. The rest surrounded them, all worried as they saw the doctor examining Amber. They waited anxiously for the doctor. He got done and said;"I didn't find any possible abnormality except for the fact she was bleeding. Things are okay now." All became relieved.
"But please! What hit her on the head? It was a very dangerous one", the doctor shrugged. Only Darcie said something;"I've got no idea. I saw her last night, on the floor, bleeding from her head." "Either she had a terrible accident or someone barged in here last night and hurt her", the doctor suggested. "I don't think the second option is likely possible", Dave replied. "Yeah! Amber doesn't know anyone in Zantis", Chloe supported.
Amber began moaning and everyone turned to see her. She was coming back to consciousness. She sat up slowly, still feeling dizzy. "What am I doing here?", she asked. "I was the one who saw you bleeding and called others. We all carried you up and brought you here. We also brought a doctor to examine you", Darcie replied.
"How did you get injured last night young fella?", the doctor asked Amber. She quickly wanted to tell them everything but, noticed she had lost her voice. She forced herself to say something but no one could hear a sound. The rest were now getting confused. "What's going on?", the doctor asked again.
Amber then saw the same ghost she saw last night, standing behind her friends and the doctor. It was very angry at her. It closed its hands and Amber was struck with neck pain, it became very stiff. She was struggling, trying to turn her neck sideways, but couldn't. Her friends and doctor, thinking she was getting mad, rushed to get hold of her. "Amber! Snap out of it!", said Ethan. Amber suddenly became calm and sat up again. Everybody let go of her.
She kept on seeing the ghost looking at her angrily still. "She'll kill me if I spill the beans", she thought. "What's wrong with you?", the doctor kept asking. Amber heaved a great sigh and replied;"Nothing! I just had a pain in my neck but it's gone now." Everybody was still confused and speechless. Amber decided to lie about her injury. "And yes! About how I got injured last night; I wanted to go drink some water. While running down the stairs, I lost control of myself and fell off the stairs. I was yelling but no one came. I crawled to the wall in pain and leaned on it, and now, I'm seeing myself on this bed."
"I saw you last night as I was going to go get some water to drink", Darcie said. The doctor sighed a sigh of relief;"You need to be careful always." Amber nodded her head, smiling and replied;"I will!"
