Chapter Nineteen

It was 6pm and the Sexton was ringing the church bell. The priest was inside the church, on his knees, in front of the altar, praying the Angelus quietly. The fortune teller entered the church and saw the priest, alone in the church praying. He sat down, waiting for him to be done praying. The priest ended his prayers and stood up. The fortune teller began heading towards him. He heard the footsteps of someone coming towards him and turned to see who it was. He wore a big smile as soon as he saw the fortune teller, walking up to him.
"It's been quite long Dominic. I'm happy to see you", the priest embraced him. "You haven't been coming for masses. I was already fond of seeing you in this church often." Dominic smiled at his friend. "I actually came here to see you and it's very important."
"What's that?", the priest got curious. "I've seen someone that's living in the late Peters mansion." The priest got worried over this. "But I thought everyone knew about the late Peters, why is someone residing in there right now? No one has lived there for months." "How do I see this person?", he asked.
"Go and see her in the mansion", replied Dominic. "Oh! I can't believe that slipped my mind", the priest taps his head a little. He then thought for a while about something. He asked his friend;"Why didn't you tell her she was putting her life in grave danger living there?"
Dominic was ashamed to say anything. The priest kept on insisting for an answer. "I saw a vision of my family being attacked. I didn't want anything bad to befall on my family", he blotted out shamefully. The priest was very disappointed in hearing this. He said;"I can't believe you're among the people afraid of all those." He walked away from Dominic a little, in deep thought. He turned back to him and told him his decision. "I think I'll pay the girl a visit. I need to tell her everything."

The clique couldn't believe their ears when the wizard had disclosed to them, who really was their enemy. Only Darcie wasn't really shocked. The wizard noticed from their reactions, they knew the man. "How did you know him?", he asked. Dave replied;"Mr Black's our landlord. We paid our rent to him.
The wizard left his mouth agape. He was becoming confused. "That man never owned that house. What I know is that, he invokes and controls ghosts of the late Peters and all those who died with them on the same day in the mansion." "From that day I saw him performing a strange ritual, I'd always suspected him of being up to something", Darcie spoke out. "We were once together, two Illuminati priests but he later began seeing himself as the one to be worshipped rather than Satan. This happened two years ago", said the wizard.
The clique and Nigel found the story a lot more interesting. They pleaded to hear more. Darcie;"I'll love to know more." The wizard asked for a cup of water. Nigel got up and exited from the room. After some moment, he came back with a glass water. He gave it to his Master, who drank the whole glass. Nigel went back and sat with the rest. The wizard was satisfied and kept the glass on the floor, by his side. He continued with his story.
"Mr Black performed a lot of wonders and was attracting a lot of people to himself. He convinced a lot of people, telling them Satan didn't exist. I tried stopping him but, with his great black magic powers, he made my blood frozen. I'd have been dead by now but...", he pointed to a statue of Lucifer,"...this statue began glowing and I saw myself getting better until I was totally healed. I bowed down to Lucifer for saving my life. I had a vision of Satan telling me not to fight against Mr Black immediately. He told me you would come to help me soon. He showed me your pictures, one after the other. Since then, I chose to be hidden from everyone. Nigel's with me because I met him as an orphan. He was crying behind my house and I decided to help him. You all are with me now so, we better start getting prepared for war. I don't know why Lucifer said I should pair up with you guys and not fight then. I can't argue with him, he knows best." "Nigel! You're also going to help out in the war." The six friends were not in agreement with the wizard.
"I'm not risking my life and besides, we don't believe in the same Supreme Being", said Ethan. "We don't have any powers and you expect us to go into war against someone who's an expert in black magic?"asked Amber, shivering in fear. They kept on giving out more and more reasons why shouldn't join hands with the wizard and embark on a war. It led to a great noise in the room and Nigel and the wizard were becoming uncomfortable.
The wizard spoke in a loud voice to bring attention back to him and make the room quiet again. "I've got weapons you'd use to conquer Mr Black and bring his followers back to the right path. He hasn't just deceived them about who Satan really is, he's also betraying them. If he has seen nothing useful in you anymore, he'll invoke the ghosts to kill you and then, invoke your ghost to kill any other person he has benefited everything from. He's killing his people slowly so that, he'll achieve his dream of ruling the world alone. If you tell his followers his deeds, they won't believe you but, they'll kill you."
He then faced Ethan;"Stop saying we don't have the Supreme Being. As far as I'm concerned, you guys are in the Illuminati.
Stop hiding that fact...you all know you have benefitted from Satan more than God so please...stop being ashamed of what you believe in." No one could argue against this particular statement. There was silence for a while until Darcie broke it.
Darcie shook her head, feeling irritated;"That man's very wicked, he deserves to die." "You guys should please help me. It's your fate. With some weapons I've got...you may defeat Mr Black", the wizard begged. They all thought about this for some time. They stood up and gathered by the door to talk to themselves on what they'd do about this war. The wizard spoke to himself;"I hope they'll accept this challenge." Nigel was watching them, while they discussed.
The clique went back to their respective positions and sat down. Dave was to tell the wizard their decision. He looked at all his friends one last time. They all nodded their heads, giving him the approval.
"We've accepted the challenge", he said. The wizard became so happy at their decision. "Yes! Because of this, I promise to make sure you guys will be safe until the end of the war." He signalled at Nigel to go get something. Nigel stood up to go get it while, the clique watched him to see what he was going to bring. They saw him carrying a box and dropping it by the wizard. He then picked up the glass cup and left the room to go return it in its usual place. The clique was confused, seeing just a box.
"A box?", asked Darcie. "What's in the box?", Dave questioned. "A lot of useful spiritual things", the wizard responded. He opened it and brought out some smaller boxes out of it. He kept them on the floor and said;"The things in these boxes could go a long way in helping you all." He summoned on Nigel to open the boxes.
Amber was feeling so scared but, didn't want to let anyone know. It was the war that got her frightened. She spoke in her mind;"I don't know why but, I feel we'll all die during this war." She tried hard to concentrate but couldn't.
