Chapter 7 VI. ARCHEIN'S WAY OF LEARNING

"Gotta go, Bro." Mharc went straight to their shoe cabinet to grab a pair of lady's bkack shoes. It was decorated with a silver ribbon that matched the design of her ankle-length white socks.
"Alright, be careful," he reminded his sister who was leaving for school. Unlike him, she did not lose her drive to study. Despite what they went through before, Mharc still goes to school diligently.
"How about you? Are you skipping school again?" his sister asked him while adjusting her green necktie. This time he turned to where Aki was, which was the reason why Mharc also looked in Aki's direction.
"Ah, alright. Just behave, okay?" Mharc teased with sweet little laughs. She stroked her slightly tangled white blouse and shook her above-the-knee green skirt.
'Who would have thought that this angel will be a blessing in disguise. Did my sister just let me be absent and didn't force me to come to school with her?' He couldn't help but smile at his thought.
"Even though I want to have a nephew…just don't yet. Okay? We're not ready for the responsibilities. Finish your studies first!!" The smile faded from his face and he looked back at his sister when he realized what she was saying.
"Huh?! What are you talking about? Just leave!" he slightly stuttered, pushing Mharc away. The moment Mharc noticed his discomfort in his speech and actions, she laughed even louder.
He was stunned by his sister's beautiful laugh. As well as her relaxed and happy face.
'It's really good to hear Mharc's laugh,' deep inside he was more than willing to hug Aki for bringing his sister's laughter back to life again.

"Aki!" After making their lunch, he immediately called Aki.
'Tsk. I'm hungry. What was she doing that she took so long to come?'
"Aki!" He started to walk towards the direction where she was.
"What the hell is this angel doing?" he whispered when he saw Aki. She was sitting straight on the sofa but doing something weird. There's a laptop resting on her head as she quickly flipped through the books she was holding.
'What the heck?! Is she playing? My laptop might break! Why did she put it on her head?!'
"Hey there!" He was shocked to hear her talking.
'How come...'
"How do you do that? I thought you weren't able to speak the language?" he asked, confused.
"Ah, you mean English? I studied it!" He received a smiling response from Aki who he was throwing weird looks at.
'Studied? How did she learn all that in just a few hours?'
"Just in a few hours?" the young man voiced out the lingering question in his mind. He thought that this woman was just fooling him. That she really can speak English from the very beginning. But every time he remembers their first meeting and conversation, he gets more and more confused.
She didn't answer his question, instead she just continued what she was doing.
"What are you doing? You look like a fool," he said as he whispered the last sentence.
"This?" She looked at him and pointed to the book she was holding and the laptop on her head. "This is the Archein's way of learning," she added after putting down the laptop.
"Weirdo," he whispered as he watched her shake the books over her head.
"That's enough. Come on, let's eat. I'm hungry." He grabbed the books she was holding, put it back in the center table, and dragged her by the hand to the dining area.
"Wow, omelette!" She was amazed at the burnt fried egg that was served in front of them. "What a cute, brown omelette!" Even though his mouth was empty, he choked at her last gesture.
He noticed that she winced. He didn't know if he should laugh or be annoyed by her reaction. He knows how to cook. But not fried dishes, especially eggs.
"This is how the omelette tastes," she said as if she was doing some investigation. She grimaced but continued chewing the food with amazement and excitement.
He was convinced that the outcome of his fried egg was pretty good this time because she was still eating. It seemed safe to eat so he started to take a bite.
"Pwe! Why did you eat it?! Give me that! Pwe! Pwe!"
"Come on! Why did you take it?" Aki complained as he took away all the fried eggs that were served on the dining table and threw them in the trash bin near the sink. "I'm still eating," she said, pouting her lips.
"Ehem…" He couldn't even admit that he was affected by the way Aki acted.
"Oh! Your face is changing color! Awesome! It's now pink and it's cute."
"Ehem. Umn…get dressed, let's go eat somewhere else. I'm really hungry," he continued and quickly ran to his room.
A few minutes later he came back dressed with a better set of clothes. He's wearing a simple black t-shirt paired with a pair of denim pants and a pair of white shoes.
"Why aren't you dressed yet?" His voice trailed off with slight annoyance. His sharp glances darted to Aki’s direction. He's really hungry.
She blinked a few more times before asking him. "Dressed?"
"Tsk." He clicked his tongue when he realized that Aki doesn't have any other clothes with her. Only now did he notice that she was still wearing the tiny clothing she was wearing since last night. That clothes seemed to lack materials.
In the blink of an eye, he made his way to the second floor of their house. When he returned, he was carrying a white dress. That was Mharc's summer dress.
"Aren't you cold wearing that?" he asked, eyeing the small fabric that hugged Aki’s body. He walked closer to Aki and handed her the dress he was holding.
"Thank you." Meanwhile, Aki didn't bother to answer him. She just thanked and smiled at him before she started to undress herself.
"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!"
