Chapter 86
It was the next day. Today, Sanaya woke up earlier in the morning and cooked dishes for her husband. A perfect meal in the morning, she put all her love into her cooking. It had been long since she cooked for him, the far she could remember.
Nick had a fair share of the breakfast and he couldn't be more delighted. Now, he was not suffering from BPD anymore. For a long, he was not showing any symptoms or had any trouble sleeping, his life seemed to be on a happy rollercoaster except for those unwanted troubles hitting his life now and then.
After breakfast, Sanaya insisted on coming with him to his company. Getting out of the car as Nick opened the car door for her, Sanaya quickly got down and whispered, to make sure nobody was seeing them. "What are you doing? People will gossip again. I will bring you shame and trouble."
"What are you thinking huh? You are my happiness, why would you bring me shame..." Nick held her hand and sauntered in through the front. One could easily see them walking while holding each other's hands like a couple.
Sanaya broadened her eyes as she saw so many people out there. Tryna pull her hand off she glanced at him and whispered in a low voice tone, "People are watching. Lose my hand."
"Good morning, Mr. And Mrs. Davis." Sanaya was stunned when the employees started greeting her by calling her, Mrs. Davis. What did it mean? Sanaya gazed at her husband who seemed carefree and then at the people who were smiling. She smiled at them politely and walked with him. Slowly all the employees on the way greeted her as 'Mrs. Davis'.
Something seemed dubious. Sanaya was still in a daze as to know why they were calling her that all of a sudden.
Getting into his cabin she quickly asked him in a hurry, "Wait, what's going on? They... They know that we are married?"
"What do you think?" Nick instead of answering her, just walked towards his chair, leaving her in a complete daze. No way, he seemed like he was flabbergasted.
'Let me check something...' Thinking of doing something she wandered out of his cabin and looked around. No, everything seemed normal, extremely calm like usual.
Sanaya stepped ahead, prowling on the floor, and just to surprise her more, an HR who was passing by greeted her. With a smile, she let out, "Good morning, Mrs. Davis."
"Mor-ning..."
As the lady sauntered away, she was in a haze again. She could feel that they knew that she was his wife. When she was thinking of so, her phone started ringing.
Taking it out of her purse she could see the name of her assistant popping up on the screen.
She couldn't even utter a single word but as she held the phone near her ears, she could hear how excited Mona was already. "Sis Sanaya, did you see the news or not? Oh my God, I am so happy. Mr. Davis is so cool, he loves you so much...."
"Wait, what news are you talking about?" Sanaya was astounded. After last time she just had dinner and then fell asleep. She stayed with him and this morning, she was so busy that she did not get to check her phone too. Now, this was surprising for sure.
"You didn't see it yet? Check out the hottest news, it ranked no. 1 in the search list. Now, everybody knows that you guys are married for more than 2 years already and Mr. Davis was the one chasing you. There are also photos of the party when he first introduced you in front of the media saying he likes you and he wants to marry you. That was so romantic, omg!"
Mona was whining in excitement and also, in happiness. Since the news was out, she had been getting calls from journalists and many more. She was so glad that the people who wanted to ruin her, got slapped across the face.
As Mona said, Sanaya found out all the photos and even videos of them together including their wedding photos, the night he first met her, the moment he first proposed to her for marriage, there was even a video that said he chased her first and how he won her heart, at last, starting from the day the rituals they did to the day they got married...
"Sis Sanaya? Are you there? Hello?" Mona's voice pulled her attention and she held the phone near her ears.
"Yeah, I am listening... How's the investigation by the way? Did you find out why Mr. Yehan Davis wanted to kill him?"
"Ahh, not yet. But I'll possibly get it by tonight or by tomorrow."
"Send it to me once you get it."
Standing at the bridge on the floor Sanaya was engulfed in a deep sigh. Time passed by, and now she no longer needed to hide anything. She could proudly go anywhere with him, wear a saree and bangles like a Bengali wife and also, wear her wedding ring on her ring finger without worrying about anybody questioning her.
It was past lunchtime, Nick was still signing some documents. As he heard someone knocking he said, "Come in."
Sanaya stepped in and saw his eyes glued to some papers on the table. She walked to him and holding his hand she said, "It's lunchtime. You can do this later."
"Ahh, sorry. I forgot."
It was a heartfelt lunch, he missed the delicious dishes cooked by her. She was happy to see him enjoying the food. Though she said she would eat later, he didn't let her stay just put and had lunch with him.
"I saw the news... How did you get all the photos?"
"It was there," Nick explained. Hearing him she gave him a surprised look.
Nick grinned at her and stroking her chin he pulled her closer unexpectedly. "How can I let my beautiful wife get chased by men? Did you think I would keep our marriage hidden forever?"
"So you planned it all along and waited for a time to reveal it?"
"Yes."
Sanaya started thinking about how did he do that. Did he follow her? Possibly he not, he did not need to. What were his men for?
"Stop thinking too much. I will finish off the paperwork first then get back to you ok?"
She nodded her head and he smooched her on the forehead and then sauntered towards his chair.
Two days passed since their wedding news was viral and she gained more popularity in these two nights. Now, the hottest couple in the country was them. In these past two days, Sanaya stayed with him most of the time, not ready to leave him alone. To him, she still did not know anything about what he tried hiding for so long.
It was nine pm at night when Sanaya was cooking in the kitchen. Tonight, she has prepared all sorts of dishes she could to hold a feast. Kyle and Aiden were already at the mansion, and Mona and Aiden's wife was yet to come through.
"What are you doing here? Go and get freshen up first." Seeing Nick walk into the kitchen she showed him a green signal.
"I came to see what my love is cooking. By the way, I can be of some help too."
"No need. Go upstairs." She shoved him out of the kitchen. When she said that she wanted to cook for all of them, he disagreed but she indeed made him agree.
After Nick was gone upstairs, Sanaya checked if he was gone and then let out a sigh. Kyle and Aiden came not long ago but as she was busy cooking she couldn't talk to them.
"Philip, please help me take care of this dish." She quickly took a look upstairs and looked at Kyle and Aiden who were chatting while sitting on the couch. Tonight was their feast day after all. It was more like a family picnic.
When both of the guys saw her, they immediately thought of getting up but she told them not to. She took a seat on their opposite and blurted out, "Umm, I have something to say to you guys. I want to apologize to you both for my misbehavior before..."
Hearing her both of them sent a glare at each other and said, "No no, it's..."
"Let me finish first." Taking a breath in she continued to say, "I know you guys are protecting him. I misunderstood not only him but you guys too. Now, I know why didn't you tell me the truth even when I asked you to... Tell me everything..."
"No way... Mrs. Davis, you know everything?"
To Kyle's questioning, she nodded her head. Both the guys were super shocked, how did she know it? They didn't tell her...
"I had thought you two were bad guys so I have behaved that way with you two before so please forgive me if you can. I'm sorry from the deep of my heart."
"Please don't apologize, Mrs. Davis. We were wrong too, we knew you were worried about him but every time we had to..." Kyle bowed his head as he did not know what to say and so Aiden was...
When they were chatting, Mona and Aiden's wife reached there. At the sight of them, she sent them a greeting smile and looked at both guys. "I need you guys to help me with something..."
Kyle sent Aiden an unforeseen glare and Aiden did the same... What was gonna happen now? What did she wanted to do?Download Novelah App
