Chapter 90
"Wait, let me get protection first. We are not using any..."
Sanaya started unbuttoning his shirt while affirming, "We don't need it."
"But, your career..."
"I don't care." Saying so, she unbuttoned his shirt completely and flung it somewhere on the floor. Nick lifted her by her waist and she wrapped her legs around his torso.
They were strolling toward the bed and continued kissing each other and suddenly Sanaya opened her eyes. 'I will protect our marriage at any cost, grandpa can do nothing. I will make sure.'
**
Two days passed since Sanaya went outside, she spent some time in leisure and accompanied Nick in his work. She managed to make him stay at the mansion with her so they could spend more quality time with each other.
These past two days, she didn't get any message from Virat. She was relaxed at least.
Today, she was going to the shooting site again. She was ready, she was walking down the stairs and then she saw Mrs. Elisa.
"Good morning, Sanaya dear."
"Very good morning, Mrs. Elisa." She smiled at her.
Mrs. Elisa smiled back at her and gestured at the kitchen. As Sanaya followed her gesture she was surprised. Philip and some other servants were standing at a distance when Nick, himself was cooking.
"Is... Is he cooking?"
Mrs. Elisa bobbed her head in agreement. "Little Nick said he wanted to cook your favorite dishes for you since this morning he had been cooking many dishes."
"Oh my God, what if he hurt his hand..." Sanaya was about to run to him but Mrs. Elisa stopped her. Startled, she gaped at her.
"Let him do that. He wants to take care of you as best as he can, it will make him happy."
Sanaya couldn't help but look at him. The famous, powerful businessman whom many girls were dying for, was now cooking for her. Yes, he was her husband. It was not only her who wanted to take care of him the best she could but he was putting the same effort.
"Sanaya, are you ok?" Unknowingly, her eyes were teary. She couldn't just stop her tears from streaming down to her beautiful eyes. She wiped off her tears and smiled, "I am ok. It's just... I know how much he did for me. He let me do modeling when he was in pain, I didn't know about his mom or I would never do modeling. From long ago he knew I was gone to become a model and yet he helped me as much as he could, and like a fool, I thought he..."
"He went crazy after you were gone. It was hard for him to live even a day, at that time if he would not know where were you, he would probably... He loves you more than anything in the world. How could he not? But don't be sad. It was not your fault, you didn't know anything about his past."
Aiden told her everything that happened when she was not there. That's how she got to know everything. It was not like she thought. He never cheated on her, he had never been a bad guy like she thought he was. Yeah, he was cold to her and it was true that he married her without love, she was indeed beautiful but he never meant to harm her, and he understood how wrong he was to hurt her after she was gone. He regretted hurting her even though he didn't mean to hurt her. Two months after she was gone, he found out where she was and that's how he survived even though he was in pain but soon he got the news that she was not there anymore. To find her was the motto of his life back then. He knew he would be able to find her and never let her go.
At the breakfast table, he served her today. She was more than happy, he cooked for her after all. Giving each other morning kisses, they both went their own way. Though he wanted to go with her she was afraid he would not feel ok with her shooting so she told Kyle to take him to the office.
Today, everybody greeted her with extra care unlike before, they took care of her as if she was some CEO. It was lunchtime when everybody was happier because Nick sent food for everybody and he came to check on Sanaya.
He spent time with her and was not ready to leave.
"You have a meeting soon, now go." Sanaya blurted out while pushing him into the car but he turned around and hugged her again. "I don't want to."
"You will miss the meeting if you don't go."
"Kyle can handle it." He hugged her tighter, not wanting to let her go.
"No, that won't do. Kyle, take him..." Sanaya looked around and saw Kyle hug Mona. She noticed they act differently nowadays. Definitely, they were having something going on between them.
"You have hugged me enough. Now go."
"Let me hug you more."
"No." She pushed him away.
"Ahh, my heart hurts."
Sanaya worriedly stared at his chest as he suddenly touched his chest as if he was feeling sick, being in pain. Seeing him like that, Kyle and Mona ran to them.
Nick put his arm around Sanaya's shoulder and mumbled, "I am not feeling well. Hold me tight."
"Kyle, call Dr. Benson right now. We are taking him to the hospital."
Hearing the word 'hospital' Nick immediately disputed. "No need. I mean... I will get well if you stay with me. I don't need Benson but you."
"Me?"
"Hmm. So stay with me and hug me..."
As he extended his hand to hug her Sanaya hit him, "Kidding, how can joke around huh! Kyle, take him back to the office right now."
"No, wait..."
Having no other way around, Kyle did what he was told to do. Though Nick did not want to go he could do nothing...
It was six in the evening. Sanaya hopped in the car and drank a sip of the cold coffee Mona passed her earlier. Sitting in the car she called Nick, she would go to his office if he was still there but... She called him three times in a row and his cell phone was out of coverage area. Strange!
"Is he too busy?"
"What's wrong? Sis." Sitting in the passenger seat Mona asked her worriedly when she noticed that Sanaya looked concerned.
"Can you call Kyle? Nick is not picking up, he picks up my call on the first try."
"I'm calling Kyle, wait a second." As Sanaya said, Mona called Kyle but his phone was out of coverage area just like Nick's phone was. They both were worried now, it didn't seem usual.
"Something feels off. Mona, find out where are they."
"Yes, sis."
Sanaya spoke to Mrs. Elisa but he didn't go home either and along with Nick, and Kyle, they couldn't connect to Aiden either. Something was off.
"What happened? Got any lead?"
"No, I can't find it out. What should we do now?"
"... Let's go to his company first." As soon as they reached in front of the company, Sanaya ran towards the reception.
"Excuse me, has Mr. Davis left already?" Sanaya asked the girl but she said he was not there. Time was passing by, they couldn't find them anywhere.
"Mona, you go to that side and I will go to this side. Let's find them out first." Sanaya and Mona parted ways while searching for the trio but they couldn't find them.
Standing at the bridge on the fifth floor, Sanaya gazed downstairs. After what happened to him many times, she could not stay put seeing him missing. "Where are you?" The fear of seeing him hurt again... She would not be able to take it again. Though Kyle told her that the last time Nick was not hurt as they said in the news, it was just to show the killer so he would be able to catch them.
Sad, she let out a sigh and stood at the place when she got a call. "Hello."
"Hello, Sanaya. It's me, Selvano."
Nick told her that his men could catch him. Even though they did not but why would he call her? Astonished, she checked the phone number, and he called her from an unknown number.
"Don't cut the call, hear me out first." She heard him. "What is it?"
"You can't find Mr. Davis, right?" She was amazed to hear him. How did he know? "What do you wanna say?"
"I know where is he."
"Where is he?"
"I will send you the address but don't... Don't go there alone... Call the police and be careful, it's dangerous there." Mr. Selvano sounded hesitant as if he was afraid of getting shot or as if he was himself running. "Police?"
"Sanaya, I know you hate me because I've wronged you many times but I am sorry, I apologize for what I did. You wanted to know who was behind all the things right? I will tell you... It's... It's Mr. Vira... T."
Sanaya was running towards her car when suddenly she heard a gunshot. Selvano was no longer talking. "Hello? Mr. Selvano? Hello? Can you hear me?"
"Throw his body in the river. Make sure nobody knows about this. Got it?.... Yes, boss." From the other side of the call, she could hear some guys talking. No wonder, Mr. Selvano was not talking. He was... He was no more.
Terror engulfed her, Nick was in danger. "Where are you? Nick, please be safe. The address... The address..." Sanaya checked the conversation and thankfully he already sent her the address long ago not long ago...Download Novelah App
