Chapter 29 Dominic Finds His Sister

Tricia was having a phone conversation with her Mum again. "So the police are on their way right now to come save us?", she asked her Mum.
"Yes honey! They're on their way. You guys will be found and taken out of there to safety in no time", Mum replied confidently.
"Thanks a lot Mum. We'll be eagerly waiting", she felt happy.
"Stay safe please. It will only take a matter of time", Mum advised her.
"We will Mum. Thank you so much", she replied, wearing a faint smile. She hanged up the call. Her mates around were very delighted with the news.
"Hopefully we will all be rescued", Ben sighed of relief.
"We will for sure because the woman assured me we were in the land of black magic, that was why we witnessed some supernatural things. She said in this her area, there has never been the influence of black magic felt here and there will never be", Tricia informed them.
"We were in the land of black magic?"
"Where does the boundary of the land of black magic start?"
"Why did Mr Joseph build a home in the land of black magic?"
Questions rolled in for Tricia to provide answers to from her curious and shocked mates. She gestured for them to calm down.
"Thank you", she greeted them for staying quiet, "Let me inform you guys what she said to me", she signified for all to move closer to her. They gathered close to each other for she to begin talking.

Mr Roland and the Constables met a mother and her teenage son weeding their farm in the first farm they stepped into. The mother and son were surprised to see the police. They stopped their weeding and stood to attend to them.
"What brings the police to my farm?", the woman went close to them with an inquisitive look.
"There's nothing to worry about. We only came to ask some questions", Mr Roland replied gently.
"What sort of questions?", the woman's son joined them.
"Did you in anyway witness a huge bus driving into this community?", inquired Mr Roland.
"A couple of buses drive into our community everyday to transport the indigenes to and fro", the woman answered at once. Meanwhile, her son thought about Mr Roland's question critically.
He clicked his fingers as he remembered something. "I think I know what you're talking about", he said, "A bus conveying some students?", he asked to be certain.
He caught Mr Roland's attention right away. "Yes! Yes! Do you know where it headed to?", he asked, staring intently at the teenager. The woman however was surprised with what her son said.
"When did you see the bus?", she questioned him.
The boy replied to his mother first. "Some days ago. They drove past me when I was about to cross over the road to go home.  They drove speedily", he said.
He them replied to the Chief Constable. "They drove into the land of black magic and I was wondering what was going on."
"The land of black magic?!", his mother gazed in surprise.
"What?!", Mr Roland exclaimed in shock. The Constables could not believe it also.
"That's where I saw them going", he said again.
"Why didn't you raise alarm?", Mr Roland gazed at him curiously.
"They obviously were taking a tour. There are a lot of neutral wonders over there so it made sense to me that they were going in there to witness them", the boy explained.
Mr Roland shook his head in disappointment with the boy. "Do the indigenes of this community go into there to witness those wonders?", he asked, looking visibly annoyed.
"Yes! We usually go there from time to time but have made sure not to eat of any tree", the boy replied sheepishly.
"Please just direct us on how to get there", Mr Roland got impatient with the prolonged conversation.
"Not far away from here, down the road, there are two tracks branching to the left. Drive into the second road to the left...that's the road to the land of black magic", the boy directed them.
"Thank you very much", Mr Roland greeted vaguely, "Let's get going right away", he said to the Constables. They all hurriedly went to the car.
"Your brain should have made you aware something was going wrong when you witnessed them driving into the land of black magic but you never raised alarm",. the boy's Mum gawped at him for a while and walked away. She went to continue with her weeding. The boy remained at a place in a neutral state.
The policemen hopped into the car and the driver turned on the ignition at once. They drove down the road and in no time, saw the first road branching to the left. They went past it, heading for the second road.
It took a longer time for them to see the second road though. "That's the road!", exclaimed Mr Roland. The driver drifted into the track and speedily down they went. It was not a smooth ride for them owing to the road being bumpy.
Mr Roland was startled to realize he had no reception anymore not long after they drove into the land of black magic. "Immediately we drove into this road, I lost all network", he complained.
"I think it's because we're in the land of black magic", a Constable replied. The rest supported what he said.
"Then how did the parents get called up by their wards if they're also in this land of black magic", the Chief Constable thought to himself. He was really confused about everything as he glanced at his phone, still seeing he had no reception.

Dominic, Rita, Mr Donald, the principal and the three Constables suddenly found themselves behind a beautiful big house. They were all surprised to see such a beauty in the middle of the thick forest.
"Like seriously? People live here?", asked Dominic in surprise.
They were behind the home of those two farmers who rescued the missing children. The couple were having a fun time with some of the students at the front yard. Some students were inside though, Tricia being one of them.
Dominic and the rest crept to the front of the building and they were amazed to see the missing children. No one noticed their presence for a while.
"These are the missing children!", Rita squeaked in joy. They were all happy except for Dominic who had not yet seen his sister around.
"I haven't seen my sister", he said in a low worried tone. He left everyone to go search for his sister. As he approached them, they could hear the footsteps of someone and gradually turned to know who it was. Dominic stopped and glimpsed at everyone, in search for his sister. Rita, Mr Donald, the principal and the Constables soon joined him. The students were very happy to see their principal again.
The female farmer observed them closely, especially Dominic, whom she could see was looking worried. "Who are you looking for?", she asked him.
"I'm looking for my sister. Her name is Tricia", he replied. She immediately knew who he was asking for.
"She's inside", she replied with a smile.
Almost immediately, Tricia came running out of the house in so much happiness to see her brother again. She ran to him and they had a very warm hug.
"I've missed you a lot. So glad to see you again", she said.
"Not as much as I missed you...I was worried sick", he responded.
"Come let's go inside", Tricia held him by the hand and led him into the house, "We have a lot of things to talk about", she said.
The farmers and the students welcomed the rest. The students were extremely delighted because they knew help had finally come.
"Welcome to our humble abode", the woman greeted them, "Let's go inside", she gestured. She and her husband led them into the house.
A lot of the students went in with them. They wanted to be with their principal who expressed his happiness by shaking hands with them and grinning all the time.
