Chapter 27: Percy Unique Prayer

ELEANOR MIA POV
"Sister Mary, we are leaving," I said goodbye to sister Mary while we were outside the orphanage, it was getting late so we had to go home because Percy might be looking for us.
"Take care," I just nodded to her before turning around and letting Fia get into the car before I got into the driver's seat and started to drive home.
"Princess, are you tired?" I asked my daughter who was quietly sitting next to me, I didn't take my eyes off the road because there might be an accident.
"Yes, Mom," She weakly answered.
"Don't worry we are close to the hacienda," I promised her before holding her little hand.
Time passed and I immediately parked the car in front of the hacienda and immediately got off then went around to the other side.
"Mom, can you carry me?" I just laughed at her sleepy voice, I immediately lifted her out of the car before entering the hacienda.
"Mom, why did you come so late?" Percy greeted us while looking at us with his arms crossed.
"We spent some time at the orphanage and your sister even played with the children there," I answered him.
“Where are your grandparents?” I asked him.
"Grandma is cooking in the kitchen while Grandpa is assisting her," He replied lazily.
"Okay, I'll take your sister upstairs first so she can sleep well and then I'll go down to the kitchen to help," He just nodded before walking away and I don't know where that one is going.
I went upstairs with my daughter in my arms until I got to my room, where I was going to put her to sleep, I immediately put her down on my bed and took off her shoes, and changed her into comfortable clothes so she could sleep properly.
I'll just wake her up when dinner is ready because this one hasn't eaten yet, the only thing we ate earlier was the one at Jollibee.
I changed into house clothes before going down to the kitchen, when I got there I saw that Mom and Dad were busy cooking while the other maids were doing something else.
"Mom, Dad, I'm sorry, Fia and I came late because Fia had too much fun playing with the children at the orphanage," I apologized to them.
"It's okay daughter, that's good for my granddaughter to have a friend, unlike your firstborn who was conceived out of spite and has no one to talk to," Mom replied.
"I'll take care of getting the plates ready on the table," I said and she nodded.
"What are you cooking Mom?" I asked as I readied the plates on the table.
"We cooked Chicken porridge and of course, you won't lose your favorite chicken adobo," She said happily while adding something delicious to the Chicken porridge she was cooking.
"Mom, why is there shrimp here?" I asked.
"Ah, that's for Percy, he requested it because he said he wanted to eat shrimp, don't worry, we'll keep it away from Fia, you know my granddaughter is allergic to seafood," Mom said, I just nodded because of what she said.
"It looks like it's ready, go ahead and call your two children first," I nodded and immediately looked for Percy later to wake up my princess.
“Hera, have you seen Percy? I don't know where that boy went, he suddenly disappears and reappears," I asked Hera, one of our maids here at home.
"Ma'am, he’s at the back of the hacienda again," She replied just to remind me that that's where he always goes.
"Thank you, Hera," I thanked her and immediately headed to the back of the Hacienda to visit my eldest son.
"Percy," I called him when I saw him at the top of the tree.
"Get down there and we're going to eat, you're stubborn when you break a bone when you fall from that tree, I'll just leave it to you," I said to him.
"Mom, if I'm going to break a bone, it should have been a long time ago," He answered me politely and I was surprised when he suddenly jumped down.
"You're going to kill me with shock!" I scolded him because he suddenly jumped from the tree.
“Come on!” I just promised because I know I won't get an answer from him. I felt that he followed me into the house.
"Go to the kitchen, I'll just wake up your sister," He just nodded so I walked upstairs.
I immediately opened the door of my room and saw my daughter sleeping soundly, that's why I hesitated if I should wake her up, in the end, I didn't wake her up.
I went back to the kitchen and when I got there they were all already sitting and Fia was the only one who wasn't there, I immediately sat in a chair next to Percy.
"Where is my granddaughter?" Dad asked.
"Dad, she's sleeping soundly, and she looks tired so I didn't wake her up, but if she's hungry later, I'll take care of it," I explained to them.
"Let's eat now, Percy lead the prayer," Mom ordered, I almost dropped the spoon I was holding because of that.
"Mom, Percy is going to lead the prayer?” I asked holding back my laughter, because what would be the outcome of this?
"Yes, now Percy goes, so we can start eating our dinner." I just kept quiet before looking at my son who was quiet and couldn't paint his face.
“Good food, Good Drink, Good God, Thank you~ Let's eat!”
I almost choked on my saliva because of what he said sparingly and I don't know if it can be called prayers.
"Mom, let's eat you're so good grandson just finished his amazing prayers," I stopped laughing as I promised them because they couldn't paint their faces.
"I don't know where your eldest son inherited this habit," Mom said softly and immediately took some rice and served it to Dad who now just shook his head with a smile.
"Percy, do you want to study here?" Dad asked while we were eating.
"It's okay with me as long as I'm with Mom and my sister." He promised sparingly.
“Eleanor, why don't you enroll him at Ford University? He is a total of 8 years old and turning 9 years old this coming September, so he can study at 7 levels, especially since your son is so smart, he will easily be admitted to Ford University." Dad suggested.
"Dad, do you think you saw a grade 7 who is still 8 years old?" I promised him sarcastically.
"Percy has a high IQ, Eleanor he just needs to pass the entrance exam then he can enter, look at your son he looks like an old man because he's more mature than the kids I've met, and if you look at his height doesn't he look like a young man this?” Dad laughed and said.
I watched Percy eating quietly and as if he didn't care about his surroundings, I can say that Dad was right, look at Percy mature, with his height and his high IQ, it is unlikely that he will get into Ford University, the famous university here in the Philippines.
"If he can do it, I won't leave anymore," I promised and took a bite of the rice on my spoon.
"How about Fia? Will she study?" Mom asked.
"I will check tomorrow and when I can take care of the work I left in the state, I will see if I can be transferred here in the Philippines by the company's agency." Answer her.
"That's nice, and you've never been to the states before, you're not going to hide forever," Mom said.
"You're right Mom, there's no need to hide, especially now that he knows he has another child, he already saw us and I have no reason to deny everything," I stopped eating after saying that.
"What did he say?" Dad asked with interest.
"So far nothing, but I saw that he already has a family so he has no reason to be a father to my two children, besides he was never become a father to my kids, my whole life I almost raised my two children," My voice will be bitter when I say that.
"I hate dad, but did you also forget how Fiorenza longed for a father, Mom?" Percy's question stopped me.
"I know, but I just don't want you and your sister to be hurt, I don't want you to be separated from your daddy, it would hurt especially if he wasn't close to the two of you if that's the case you two are okay, what about your sibling? Do you think Fiorenza won't be hurt knowing that her father has another family? Do you want to be called an outsider? Bastard?” I wanted to cry because of what I said but I stopped it.
"It's a bitter thing to say, Percy, you know that but there's truth in it, I know it's important to know the truth," I weakly promised him.
"If there is a day when Fiorenza wants to see and know who her father is, I will tell the truth, but not now, I know your sister doesn't know everything yet and she doesn't understand yet because she is too young," I begged him.
