Chapter 28: Lux Arrival
ELEANOR MIA POV
"Princess, wake up," I softly whispered to my daughter because it was already morning when should I feed her because she didn't eat dinner last night?
"Good morning Mom," She yawned to greet me so I got up from the bed before carrying her to the bathroom so she could brush her teeth and wash.
"You need to eat, you didn't eat last night because you fell asleep right away," I told her after she brushed her teeth and washed her face. I wiped her face with a towel before I left the bathroom while still carrying her.
When we got downstairs we saw Percy at the dining table eating as well.
"Where are your grandparents Percy?" I asked him and put Fia down from the chair before putting food on her plate.
"They already leave, Mom." He answered sparingly so I just nodded.
"Percy, do you want to take the Ford University entrance exam?" I asked him while trying to make Fia eat well.
"It's up to you Mom," Percy.
"If that's what you want then, I'll tell your Aunt Crizia to be with you the next day, so you can take the entrance exam," I promise.
"And later I will take your sister to Stone Elementary School so that she can enroll in kindergarten.”
"Seriously, Mom? Kinder?" He asked gruffly.
"What do you think of your sister? Do you have the same IQ?” I asked him sarcastically.
"Whatever, Fia is your daughter you and she have the same IQ," He said without appetite and continued eating.
"Of course, she’s my daughter," I said proudly and kissed my princess on the forehead.
"Yeah, yeah." He responded in surrender.
We were in the middle of eating when suddenly someone rang the doorbell outside, the maids didn't seem to be in the living room so I had no choice but to open it.
"You stay here first, I'll just check who's outside," I said and immediately left the kitchen towards the main door of the house.
"Who is that?" I asked as I opened the door. I was surprised by who was in front of me.
"What are you doing here Lux?" I asked him because I have not yet called him to come here.
"Mia, I followed you here in the Philippines to apologize for what I did in the States." He pleaded.
"Come in, I'm feeding my kids," I pretended to be angry and promised him and eased the opening of the door.
"Just put your luggage on the side of the sofa, and follow me." He immediately obeyed what I said and followed me to the kitchen.
When we got to the kitchen, I immediately went back to where I was sitting earlier, I looked at Lux who was just at the door of the kitchen while silently looking at us.
"What else are you doing? Let's eat," I sparingly said to him, because of what I said, Fia and Percy looked at him at the same time.
"Daddy, Lux!" Fia happily shouted and opened her hands, indicating that she wanted to hug Lux.
Lux slowly walked towards Fia and immediately picked her up.
"Princess, I'm sorry for what I did," He apologized to Fia who was now hugging her neck.
I looked at Percy and saw that he was just squinting and continuing to eat his food.
"It's okay Daddy Lux, I already forgive you," Fia responded.
"Feed me daddy Lux," Fia said.
"I well my princess," Lux said kissing Fia's forehead.
Lux sat down and looked at Fia before putting food on the new plate and eating it. My daughter's happiness is different from what I saw yesterday when she was with her real father.
"Mom, thank you for calling Daddy Lux to be here," I stopped because of what Fia said, I also saw how Lux was stunned.
"So, you asked your Mom to call me princess?" Lux asked with a smile while looking at me.
"Yes, Daddy Lux, Mom is the one who suggests that you can be my father," I blushed because of what my daughter said, it was true yesterday but I didn't know that he would come suddenly and I didn't even know.
"Daddy Lux, Can you come with us later after breakfast?" Fia asked Lux.
"Of course princess, where are you going?" Lux asked.
"Mom is planning to enroll me at school, I want you to come so other children will see that I have a mother and father," My smile fades on my lips as I hear what she says. I know she's longing for a father that I can't give to her.
"That's good princess I'll come," Lux responded to lighten the atmosphere.
"How about you Percy? Will your mom enroll you too?” Lux asked Percy who was now glaring at him.
"Aunt Crizia will accompany me to take the entrance exam in Ford University and don't tell me that you'll be there with me cause I will rather be there alone than to be with you," Percy coldly said.
"Percy don't talk to your daddy Lux like that, have some respect,"
"Whatever I'm done," After he said that he left.
"Forgive that kid, Lux," I said with a sigh.
"It's okay, I got used to your eldest's behavior," Lux said.
"It's already 8:30 AM, it will be good if we will be at the school where you want to enroll Fia," He said.
"Yeah, we'll just go to take a shower," I said and stood up before taking Fia on her lap I signaled to him that we were leaving the kitchen, and he nodded so I started to go upstairs.
Time passed.
We went down to the living room after I finished fixing Fia, I saw Lux sitting on the sofa holding his cell phone as if he was bored waiting for Fia's visit.
"Lux, let's go," I grabbed his attention, he immediately turned to us and stood up before he put his cell phone in his coat pocket and approached us.
"Leave your luggage first, the maids will take care of putting it in the guest room," I said to him and we started to leave the house.
He immediately opened the passenger seat in the back so that Fia could sit there. Then I put the seatbelt on my daughter in the back, I immediately got into the front seat and he opened the door for me before he went around to the driver's seat and start driving.
"Where is the school we are going to?" he asked.
"At stone elementary school," I answered him.
"Is it okay to enroll her? She is too young to let her go to school, she might just get bullied there," He said and I can feel his worries about my daughter.
"Don't be paranoid, Lux, My daughter is already 3 years old and turning 4 so she has to be admitted to School, I don't want her to be innocent of what's around her," I gently told him.
"And I won't let anyone hurt my daughter," I promised him next.
"I'm just worried," He said and took a deep breath.
When we arrived at the school itself, we saw that there were many parents with their children as if they were going to enroll their children as well.
We entered the School while Lux and I held both hands of Fia, who was happily looking around her.
We immediately went to the dean of this school, and when we got there we immediately knocked.
"Knock, Knock," I knocked on the door.
"Come in," I heard someone inside say, Lux immediately opened the door and we entered, as soon as we entered I stopped when I saw who was sitting in front of the dean's desk.
I didn't show that I was surprised and forced a smile at Dean.
"How can I help you?" The Dean asked.
"We're here to enroll our daughter in your school, I'm Lux Lazarus Maruhom," Lux said, I saw how the Dean stood up and immediately smiled at Lux.
"Nice meeting you Mr. Maruhom I'm glad you choose our school to enroll your daughter, It's a pleasure to have your daughter here," said the Dean before sitting back in his chair.
"Take a seat here, Mr. Maruhom and Mrs. Maruhom.” From what the Dean said, I feel a bad aura roaming from this room, I know Adam is looking at us. The three of us were facing each other when we sat down.
"Since you just arrived at the same time and it looks like you all have the same intention for enrolling your children, we can discuss this at the same time," The Dean said so we just nodded.
"So as what I'm saying earlier, I'm willing to invest 2 Million here in a year just to take care of our daughter while she's under your school," Kierra said.
"We will be glad to accept your offer Ms. Kierra as what you said that volunteer," The Dean responded to her.
"How about you Mr. Maruhom?” The Dean asked. I can see in the Dean's eyes that you thought we would also offer a million, but that is not my job, I am only here for my daughter to study and not to brag about money just so that my daughter can enter their school.
"Mr. Dean, We are just here to enroll our daughter," I interrupted. I saw how the smile disappeared from his lips because of my response.Download Novelah App
