Chapter 12 Chemistry: Ending Up In A Wrong Pack House
After walking for some time, they get a shelter and they stay under the tree. Emilia starts to remember her family members. Hee wolverine friends in her college, and her families wolves types. She doesn't want to bring up the conversation because she's sure she'd be into it so that she won't want to stop it. So she had rather not start. But, Kenneth, needs gists. He wants to hear more and he needs some comical relief at the moment. "Wanna share some old thoughts, memories?" He asks her, as they are still seen under the umbrella. "Huh? Or you don't wanna talk?" Emilia changes her mood immediately she hears that, since she doesn't want to give him the impression that she likes him or she's going to be his Luna. Though she can never consider Maxwell to be her Luna, she wouldn't want to take Kenneth as hers as well. But she can consider it. "....but not when the air is not clear." She says, and once she realizes it was said out loud, she freezes up and feels goosebumps creeping up her skin. She doesn't want to show it. But, both her internal and external feelings are being detected and observed by Kenneth. He knows everything she's thinking of, through mere stare of love. "Would you be my Luna?" Kenneth asks her, abruptly. "You know, the moon Goddess has given your father proofs that you'd be my Luna. Can't we make that work now?" "I know we can." Emilia replies and chuckles. Kenneth's eyes bulge in fear and surpise at her cool reply but return to their normal positions as expected when she filters her words with another combination of hot retorts. "...but that's so absurd. It doesn't seem feasible but you can try it with another Female Wolf. Can we talk truth?" "Yes we can." Kenneth coldly replies. "We're in a cold weather, and here's snow. Our wolves don't like snow, they might freeze up and not want to thrust out when we need them." "How did our conversation turn to snow and wolves?" Emilia asks, waiting impatiently for an answer. "Not really." Kenneth replies. "Snow back then in 1950 was a very scarce humidifier. When we were..." His speech is cut short by Emilia's obvious sighs. "What the heck?" Emilia retorts. "Why snow, dude? Can't we finalize our talk before we clear the air, and get our head straight?" "None the heck. You clearly weren't interested in having that conversation. And, I couldn't care less." Kenneth retorts and for it not to seem like Emilia wants him forcefully or at all means, she keeps quiet and wants to move on to another conversation when a bombshell falls. Like a clash between two metals, a wolf appears in front of them. Kenneth wants to rise to his feet to attack and protect his lady but to his utmost dismay, it was an approaching wolf and not any one in front of them. He sighs, and sees it as though they were bought time. He stretches his right arm to Emilia for her to stand to her feet but no she doesn't agree. He wants to take it out on her and yell but he realizes she wants to be babied. Oh my goodness. You don't want to be his Luna yet your actions scream that you want to. You want to seem obdurate but you just can't. Though you seem stubborn but not to the level of obduracy. Kenneth wraps his warm arms around her and gently places her up. He wants to carry her on his shoulders but she doesn't agree. "My trousers ain't long, dude." She tells him and knocks his forehead. Instead of feeling pain, Kenneth feels ease. What can love not do? "But, no matter what, Maxwell is still after me." Emilia says after series of grave silence while taking a walk down the road. They want to get to the end of the road, and then branch to a side to march to the pack house. "Don't you think we can just relocate, and...?" Kenneth is lost for words, and he hits his head literally, while gazing at the stimulus response of Emilia. She is a bit surprised but more of unfazed. "That was so quick. At least, you can solve it when you get to your official room." She says and they finally get to the front door of the pack house. The front seems like a normal house but if you view it without the front door, you'd see it as a pack house. Don't try to understand unless you can squeeze yourself to appear with them in the fictional world. "Let's get in. We've got words." Kenneth tells her and hugs her arms with his as he keeps knocking. "That's if those dudes ain't got no shit to tell you." She replies. "You know Fred's caught in the trap, that's the first, dude." Kenneth rubs her hair and pulls his fingers through the mid hair and she chuckles to that. Since no one responds after several attempts to get in by knocking, Emilia suggests a thing. "Don't you think you should mind link them?" She asks him but he becomes a bit fazed. "Do you stress yourself unnecessarily?" He asks her and she feels the question is more of an insinuation. "Why's that? Yes I do." She replies. "You should not forget things easily. I told you mind links don't work well in the rain." Kenneth rephrases. "You could have just said that. You didn't have to rant, or go about the bush." She comes off. Kenneth purrs but she blocks her ears with her two pointed fingers. And after few seconds, say thirteen, the door is opened but no one is found at the doorpost. No one can be traced to the one that opened the door. This seems so confusing but since Emilia can't care less, she encourages him and they finally got in after jerking the door close with a reasonable leg kick. "Who the hell are here?" Kenneth asks with a lowly high-pitched voice. And a soldier thrusts out. He's actually thinking Maxwell might have come here and done his deeds. Though Maxwell doesn't know his pack house, he can still find out. He's got legs. And it seems that same thought on his mind is equal to that in his Luna's mind, judging with her look and surpise at their facial expressions. "Alpha Kenneth!" A group of army hails as they march towards him and stop midway. They march backwards again, and then forwards and this alerts all other people in the pack house. The pack house is actually a big one, and the soldiers marching are concentrated wolves. They don't bargain, they coax. They take by force. And once they're sent to you, you have no choice than to give them what they request for. But not to all, as there are some that won't fall victims, and some actually have more powers and abilities. "Hell Fire team is going to be burned, and not burn us." Another group of women wolves come out of the halls to greet Alpha Kenneth and he becomes a bit surprised. Why is his pack house so large and enormous this way? And the most shocking fact is why he now has some many pack warriors, they weren't really much when he left for Emilia. Well, he winks at Emilia who also seems confused but with the help of her nose bleed, she sniffles punishment. She actually doesn't know what that means but she doesn't hide it. She tells it to Kenneth and Kenneth interprets it immediately. "How....sure are we that we've got into the right pack house?" He asks her and those in front of them realize they've gotten a secret and so they don't let them go. "You can't go now, Alpha Kenneth." One of them says as though she really cares. "An Alpha doesn't walk in the darkness, and or in the cold weather. Just stay a bit more and I assure you, everything would be sorted out. Alright?" Kenneth nods his head as though he agrees to what she just said. And like a flash, he messages Emilia and tells her to flee once he does. He also asks her if she can play any music or distracting loud instrument from within her or maybe she's got some friends that have it, and live close by. With the winking of another eye, he marches past the guys. Once one of them notices he's trying to escape, they hold his button shirts and Kenneth threatens to release his wolf. "Why would you hold an Alpha in this manner?" Emilia retaliates and yells on top of her voice since she wouldn't be listened to. They finally face her and assume. "We didn't know you've got a Luna. We're so sorry." Another says. "Here's Mister David's Pack House. Somewhere around here before was having a pack house as well. I think the owner has relocated to somewhere opposite the right junction. Is that where you wanted to go?" "Are you releasing them?" A leader asks her. "Why would I?" She retorts. "But, Kenneth's passed my power. Sorry." "Dead." The leader says, injures the one who directed Kenneth and holds Kenneth's shirt tight
