Chapter 53

10 years later...
New York City...
"Annabelle, there you are," a young man with black hair says in a poetic manner, getting the attention of a young girl with brunette hair, who is dressed up in a beautiful baby pink flower dress.
"Ryan, I thought we were never gonna meet again," the girl says in a gentle tone.
"Darling, I told you before, if there is fate in between us, destiny will bring us back," the man says.
"Oh, Ryan. Don't ever leave me again," the girl says as she runs to boy's direction, in which he catches her in his arms.
"I love you, my dear Annabelle," the man says as he carries the girl in bridal style.
"I love you more, Ryan," the girl says. Suddenly, the beautiful music in the background stops, which leads the audience to go histeric at the beautiful performance. All the other actors and actresses starts to walk up on stage from behind.
"Beautiful," a man shouts from the audience.
With happiness, all the actors and actresses takes a bow on the stage, hence ending the beautiful broadway show of the day.
15 minutes later...
Backstage...
Taylor's POV...
"Great show, Taylor," says Dan, or in other words, the man who played Ryan as he gives me a high five.
"Thanks, Dan. We all did fantastic," I say.
"Well, that's a good wrap before Thanksgiving," says Mia, who is also one of the actresses here.
"Yeah," I say to the red-hair girl.
"Well, you better start packing," Mia says in a playful manner, reminding me that I have a flight to catch tonight if I wanna be in LA before Thanksgiving.
I smile. "Yeah. I'll get going."
"Have a safe flight, Taylor," Mia says.
"Thank you," I say as I smile at the girl, before turning my vision to see that the others are all busy wondering around backstage after the show. All of them looked so relief and happy, it's easy to tell that they are all definitely excited for the Thanksgiving holiday, just like me.
A few hours later...
9 PM...
After a quick dinner consist of chicken salad and an hour of packing, finally I am sitting inside the taxi heading to the airport, with my hand holding my small luggage. While looking outside the window of the taxi, I start to get lost with the sight of the busy New York City, hence giving me flashbacks of the first time I arrived here.
During my senior year of high school, I realized that I had grew further interest in performing arts. Ever since I starred in the play with Joey, I found myself having deeper interest with acting and performing on stage. Even after he left LA, I continue to participate in plays and shows at school, in which I figured that it had become a passion for me to perform in front of many people. I talked to my parents about my passion of performing arts, in which they were happy about and supported me.
After I graduated, I received the news  that I got accepted to Julliard, which was a dream come true. My family were so happy for me, including Eleanor, in which she even planned a surprise farewell party for me along with our friends, including Tim. Going to New York City to study performing arts at Julliard was one of the most incredible life experience I had, which played a big role of who I am today. I eventually graduated and landed a career in acting as a broadway actress in New York City.
Even though it saddens my heart to be away from my family, I'm happy to pursue my dream career of acting in broadway shows. Sometimes my parents would even come to visit me or even watch me perform. As for Eleanor, she doesn't visit me as often as my parents, mainly because she's also busy with her fashion line. The young girl graduated with a degree in fashion and design, and is now a fashion designer based in Los Angeles. This time, I'm gonna come visit them since it's Thanksgiving. I miss them so much. Other than that, I can't wait to also catch up with my friends in LA. It's been a while and a catch up is surely needed.
The next day...
Los Angeles...
3:20 PM...
"Glad to hear that you arrived there safely," Eleanor says on the phone. "Well, have a great Thanksgiving."
Eleanor hungs up the phone as she walks over to her house. She had closed her fashion boutique earlier today since she's gonna celebrate Thanksgiving with her family. Upon arriving at her front door, she rings on the bell and waits for the door to open.
"Darling, you're home," her mom says as she opens the door for her daughter.
"I wouldn't want to miss the turkey, Mom," Eleanor says in a playful tone as she enters her house.
"Ah, good. By the way, your sister is home and is waiting for you," her mom says.
"Oh," Eleanor says as she turns her head to look for any sign of Taylor. Speaking of her twin sister, it's been a while since she last visited them.
"Eleanor," Taylor calls out to her sister who walked pass the dining room.
Eleanor walks back to see Taylor sitting in the dining room, with her cup holding a small cup of tea. Looking at her sister sitting with a cup of tea in hand, she looks more mature than the last time she saw her. Just like herself, she knew both of them surely grew up. They are no longer teenagers, but are now adults.
"Hey, it's good to see you," Eleanor says to her sister.
Taylor smiles. "I wouldn't want to miss Mom's turkey."
Hearing this, Eleanor burst out a small laugh at her sister's statement. She starts to remember how even though time passed by, their sisterly bond and similar traits surely didn't fade. Like a small thing they both could agree on is the fact they both love their mom's signature homemade turkey every Thanksgiving.
"So? You ready to help with Mom's cooking?" Eleanor asks.
"You bet," Taylor says, before the two sisters enter another good laugh.
To be continue...
