Chapter 11

The emblem belonged to a marine soldier. Hannah knew this because she had actually contemplated on joining the army when she was younger.
However that emblem belonged to a much more undercover marine soldiers kind of a thing. Only a selected few were chosen to join this secret group.
As far as Hannah remembers, they were given intensive training, much more different than the normal training given when you joined the army.
They had made sure that each and every member of this secret group were fully skilled in various aspects leaving no room for a flaw.
But in a situation where your dealing with an undead who attacks like a drunk person and bites with it's sharp teeth is really not a part of their training programme.
Despite heavy trainings, the man was soon to be seen strugling trying to fend them off of him and the group he was protecting earlier tried to help him from above.
"We have to help him" Mr. Klein headed towards the mans direction.
He managed to maul off a few zombies that had cornered the man. He looked surprised to see Mr. Klein in front of him as he was sure there weren't anyone around when they had walked through the path a while ago.
"Behind you!" The man shouted towards Mr. Klein, his eyes wide trying to grab Mr. Klein away from the approaching undead.
*THWACK*
"Are you okay Mr. Klein?" Hannah plunged her spear into the back of the undead's head and pilled it right out as it fell onto the ground.
It was a woman wearing a red coat, she looks like an office worker. How unfortunate.
"Thanks Hannah" The sight of blood still irks Hannah and she tries her best not to think of what had happened before.
Seeing red just makes her all angry but she keeps to herself as she didn't want to cause any unwanted problems.
"I appreciate your help. I'm Sergeant Kendrick" He held his hand out towards Mr. Klein which he gratefully took.
Mr. Klein and the sergeant continued their conversation despite being so out in the open.
Hannah on the other hand decided to not engage in the conversation instead she was observing the sergeant.
He had white hair and even a beard, it was really well kept from the looks of it. The sergeant was also quite muscular and he was slightly taller than Mr. Klein.
The uniform he wore got Hannah's attention. She thought of the possibilities that the sergeant could have been helping with the evacuation and all the safe zone.
"....We should get going. It's not safe staying out here for too long" Mr. Klein and Sergeant Kendrick then began heading in the same direction, joining the rest of Sergeant Kendrick's group.
This caused Hannah to snap out of her thoughts. As far as she knows they never agreed on joining someone else.
"Mr. Klein!" She whisper shouted, gaining his attention as he turned to look back at her.
"Hannah, what's wrong?" He whispered back, waiting for Hannah to catch up with him as the sergeant walked on.
"You can't be seriously considering on following them are you?" Hannah stated, crossing her hands as she waited for his answer.
"They seem to be nice people....and they are much more built for surviving than we are. We could really use their help Hannah" Mr. Klein reasoned, hoping Hannah would understand his intention.
"I...I don't know..." Hannah hesitated, joining a random person's group who totally outnumbers them doesn't really make her feel safe.
"Please Hannah? I promise I will keep you safe and if they pull anything funny we're leaving immediately" He replied seriously.
Mr. Klein thinks it would be better to travel with a group as they move towards the coordinates as it will increase their chances of survival. He's also thinking about the possibility that the sergeant could still be in close contact with the government.
Hannah wasn't as convinced hearing his reply but still nodded trailing behind Mr. Klein who was grateful that she was alright with it.
As they walked towards who knows where, a teenager joined Hannah who was walking at the back of the whole group.
Hannah didn't notice at first because she was so focused on keeping her eyes on Mr. Klein incase they had to start running.
"Hi" a voice honeyed beside Hannah.
Startled, Hannah moved away from where she was before, creating more distance between them.
"You're quite jumpy aren't you" the voice continued on, showing a funny expression when Hannah backed off.
"What do you want" Hannah said, squinting her eyes towards the brunette.
She was much shorter than Hannah but she was slightly buffer than Hannah was. She actually kind of look like Sergeant Kendrick.
"Nothing~ Just making small talk that's all"
"Right" Hannah pulled the conversation to a stop.
"So....what's your name? Oh wait, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Eva and I'm turning 19 this year!" She said with full enthusiasm, her eyes brimming with happiness.
"I see" Hannah curtly replied.
She was starting to get angsty because Mr. Klein kept moving forward and forward and is almost at the front of the group, completely going out of Hannah's field of view.
And she didn't really want to make her way to the front as she would have to say something to the rest of the group.
"...Hey!" Eva called out to the now zoning out Hannah.
"Huh?"
"Your name. What's your name?" Eva kept asking on.
"It's none of your-" Hannah got cut off by Mr. Klein calling out to him.
"Hannah! Come over here!" Mr. Klein called out from the front, earning a grunt from Hannah and a chuckle from Eva.
"Hannah...huh" Eva was grinning and about to burst into laughter.
Hannah brushed it off and made her way towards Mr. Klein. It seems that Mr. Klein had found and old friend of his who used to work as a security guard in the apartment.
As it was Mr. Klein's friend, Hannah made sure to look as friendly as possible. She didn't really like talking but somehow rather she was talking a whole lot more than usual.
Mr. Klein friend's name was Judas. He said he had moved to another city as he was offered a better job.

After some time walking around, they had finally reached a shelter? It's a fast food restaurant but it had been boarded up and changed into more of a fortress.
There were fences around the whole place. It wasn't really as strong but it managed to hold still.
As we entered there were another 2 more person who were a part of the group. They had been watching over the base while the rest went out to gather materials?
