Chapter 13

"What did you think you were doing?!" Judas scolded, clearly showing his dissappointment.
"Mr. Klein could still be out there! I h-have to find him!" Hannah reasoned but she knew deep down that she shouldn't have rushed out like that.
"You could have gotten killed! YOU COULD HAVE GOTTEN US ALL KILLED" He reasoned.
"I-I'm sorry...." Hannah felt small and hopeless.
Judas calmed down and took a seat. He then gestured for Hannah to take a seat as well which she did.
"It seems like you don't know Mr. Klein as much as you think you do" he started
"He's smart, so smart that you would think he was some kind of AI. The Klein I know would have found a way to escape.....to- to look after himself"
Hannah stayed silent, she knew Judas knows Mr. Klein longer than she had so she could only hold on to the words he had said.
"I...just don't want yo lose him too" Hannah admitted, covering her face with her palms as she let out a quiet sob.
Judas felt sorry for the girl and patted her on the back before giving her some space.
Hannah could hear footsteps moving around which she assumed was Eva or even Judas but it was not.
"....Hello..." A young voice said.
She removed her hands from her face and wiped her tears away. She looked at the boy in front of her with a questioning gaze.
"Here...." The boy gave me a candy and left running back towards the staff room.
"Oh" Hannah was surprised to see how fast he ran away. He was zooming.
Hannah felt better after crying it out for awhile. She decided to explore the station for a little bit. There was a note on the counter.
She took it and read through its contents. It warns about a group thats going around killing people for their stuff but mostly because they think its fun.
Hannah then remembered the encounter Mr. Klein had with a random group of strangers who had stabbed him earlier on.
"I wished people like this would just get eaten by the undead" Hannah said angrily.
Just then Eva came from around the corner and asked if Hannah was hungry.
"We've got some nutri bars and a recently expired cake if you're interested?" She asked waving the nutri bar at Hannah.
Hannah took the nutri bar and muttered a thank you. Eva was about to leave when Hannah stopped her, wanting to apologize for what she did before.
"Eva. I'm sorry about before when I ran out" Hannah wanted to mention that she was sorry for making her see the mutant again but she decided it was best not to mention it right now.
"It's....it's fine. You were just worried about him. I would've been too" she smiled and left the area.
"Right..." Hannah muttered.
She continued examining each shelf, seeing if there's anything she could use. She spotted some batteries and shoved them in her bag.
There was a phone charger as well and seeing as how the place still had power, she might as well charge her phone.
She watches as the phone shows indication of it charging and left it to head to another shelf.
She saw a baseball club nearby, it was signed by somebody she wasn't familiar with. Instead of a wooden bat it was made of metal and was slightly heavy.
Hannah swinged around, trying yo get a fell of it and trying to get used to it. She had some barb wires she had found in the shelter.
They weren'y much but it was able to cover the whole bat. She tried flinging it into the air, attempting to catch it before it fell.
"I kinda feel cool holding this bat" Hannah thought to herself before gracefully catching the bat.
A zombie had broken into the place and Hannah noticed it's growl. She ducked under a shelf hoping it wouldn't see her.
"Is this some kind of weapon curse or something? Why do they keep appearing after I get one" Hannah complained under her breath.
Hannah wasn't really brave enough to face it face to face so she tried something else.
She threw the club at its face and knocked it out, causing it to turn blind.
"RARGHH?" The zombie was flailing around, trying to get up but failed.
Hannah moved closer slowly not wanting to alert it towards her. She then grabbed the club of from its face causing its blood to splatter everywhere.
"Im really sorry" She said before hitting it right back in its face until there was no longer a head to be seen.
The blood from the zombie had spread quite far and turned the place into some kind of slaughter house.
Hannah wiped of the blood on her the best she could as she didn't want the young boy to see her like this.
Judas comes out and was surprised to see a zombie with no head at your feet.
"Hulk who? I only know Hannah" he said trying to lighten up the atmosphere.
Hannah stood there baffled by the joke he made. She couldn't help but start laughing, clenching to her stomach to catch her breath
"You're really lame!" She said in between breaths, her cheeks going red by all the laughter.
Judas laughed along, feeling proud of his joke. He even went as far to praise himself, pretending there was a crowd in front of him.
Eva went to find the source of laughter with the young boy holding her hand. She turned a corner and was back at the place where she last saw Hannah.
Seeing the two laugh made her curious about what they were even talking about in the first place.
Hannah was so busy laughing she only noticed them after about a minute. She smiled at Eva and th young boy.
Eva was taken aback by the smile and stood with her mouth hung open. The young boy greatfully returned the smile.
Beeing so caught up in Judas's joke, she finally remembered the body that laid near her feet.
She panicked and tried to cover it with her body, resulting in her doing some really awkwards poses. Judas laighed at first then realized what she was trying to do.
He rushed over to her side and did some awkward poses too making Eva go through a rollercoaster of emotions and the young boy just laughing it out.
"Eva....could you do a favour and leave for a bit?" Judas asked, his eyes pleading.
"Okayyyyy" Eva said, eyeing the two and noticed a body behind them. That's when it all clicked.
"Is that!-" Eva was interrupted by Hannah who dashed across the room blocking the young boy's view.
Hannah held her palm to Eva's mouth and begged her to be quiet and motioned towards the boy.
Her eyes widen knowing that it actually was a body, she slowly nodded and Hannah removed her hand.
"Hey buddy, why don't we head back to the room and you continue with your drawings?" Eva asked sweetly.
The boy nodded and happily walked of with Eva next to him.
