"...Ugh..." Hannah woke up to a dreadful headache. 'I must have been sleeping for far too long' Hannah reached out to her phone to check the time. However she was shocked to see her phone bombarded with tons of messages from people she knew. Curious, Hannah went through all the messages she had received. All of them said one thing, 'Look Outside' and 'Check the news' At first Hannah didn't seem to get it, she had thought the photos on every website were normal because of the creepy costumes she had seen people wearing earlier. But, the grotesque image seemed to real to ignore. It was as though it really had happen and that threw Hannah off. "An outbreak? Apocalypse? What in the world is happening" Hannah got off from her bed and rushed towards her balcony. She could see it all too well, splattering of blood, decapacitated bodies as well as people walking around like a.....zombie? 'There's no way something like that exists but then again...there was once a case of a drug inducing zombie like behaviour...' "Maybe it's just temporary...? I-I'm sure the police o-or even the army will come to...help?" "....Breaking news. The plague that has swept apart human kind has now spread throughout the entire world. Everyone is ordered to stay in your homes and never come out. The a-" *Power runs out* "This can't be happening" Hannah dialed her parents number in her phone yet no one answered. She tried a couple more times before trying to call someone else. "Come on pick up-" *BANG BANG* "Huh?!" *BANG BANG* 'Dammit! Who could it be?' Hannah froze at the sudden knock on the door. She wasn't sure whether she should open the door or pretend she's not home. However, Hannah decided it was best to spy through the peep hole. She placed her eye in front of the hole expecting for someone to be there on the other side but there were no one in sight. "That's odd...." Feeling braver, Hannah twisted her doorknob and slowly opened the door, allowing her head to peek through the small gap. The hallway outside was deadly silent. There were no movements and there wasn't any sign of someone there. Hannah pushed the door even wider to check on her left side. The other end of the hallway seemed fine as well although Hannah had not managed to see the small drippage of blood behind her door outside. 'Whew, there's no one her-' A drop of liquid fell onto Hannah's face, slowly sliding down from her cheek. She slowly tilted her head upwards as she started smelling a really foul smell. A face with it's jaw hanging wide open. There were bits of flesh stuck in it's teeth and a pool of blood pouring out from it's mouth. Hannah froze in place not daring to make a move. The man's jaw kept coming closer and closer to her. A loud snarl from him was all it took for her to hit him with the door. The sick man stumbled onto the ground creating more gap between Hannah and him. Hannah got back in and pulled the door shut, well halfway shut. Something had it's firm grip on the door handle outside making it harder to close. A head started poking out from behind the door, it was the sickly man. He kept gritting his teeth and grinding them against each other. Hannah hurriedly grabbed a vase nearby and went straight at him, smashing his head as he finally let go of the door. "WHAT IN THE WORLD!?" Looking at the blood on her hands, she felt guilty for killing someone. She slowly got up from the floor and slowly approached the door again. Through the peep hole she could see his body laying there on the ground, not making a single move. She collapsed onto the floor, gasping for breath. It was the first time she was put in such a dangerous situation. After being alone all these years, she prayed for someone to just come and say that everything is not real. She was hoping to see her best friend in front of her once again , pouring sweet words into her ears just as she had always done before. ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` The whole day Hannah spent her time going through the internet. She was hoping to be able to get some information as to what's happening and she did. "...Breaking news...there has been sighthings of a mutation spreading in Pakistan and Italy....bzzzz.....it is highly contagious and the people are advised to stay in the safety of their homes and to let the army handle this situation-" The news was last aired about a day ago, meaning the outbreak has already spread quite far. Hannah sat down, putting all her thoughts together. There was a safe zone set up about 150 miles from her place, it seems to be the best option right now. According to the last article posted, the army has secured the area and has blocked of all of the......undead? 'They're calling them the undead? Like a zombie? How fitting" Hannah thought "......bzzz.....-Remy is currently identifying the cause.......bzz.... and has-" The Tv shuts off "Dammit! There's no signal anymore" Hannah checks her phone's signal and sees that its gone too. Night time approaches and the growlings from outside can be heard even more. They sound much more aggressive than they did during the day. Hannah stealthily approached her balcony, not wanting to be seen by anything outside and observed the situation on the streets. There weren't much of them outside at all. Are they like moving in hordes? Or have they perhaps been taken down by the army? Hannah knows that she can't stay in her house for any longer and began mapping out a plan to leave the place. But, avoiding those things are gonna cause a huge problem to her. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ It's about to go down....
