Chapter 5

The moment the pillow fell the mutated undead had already leaped towards her. Not having much time to dodge she pull the blanket in front of her, giving distance between the two and also lowering the chances of getting bitten.
It was agressive and Hannah knew it was just a matter of time before it managed to tear the blanket away.
With all her might she pushed it off to the side resulting in it hitting the foot of the bed. She dashed towards the door and did not pay much attention to her surroundings which caused her to accidently step on a broken glass shard.
"Dammit!" Hannah cursed, feeling the sharp pain growing from her feet. As she ran, she left a trail of blood behind causing the mutated undead to become even more enraged.
Once out, she pulled the door shut causing it to make contact with the door. Hannah had thought if she managed to shut the door it would probably stop going after her but boy was she wrong.
It went quiet for a moment before it started clawing it's way out of the door. Hannah knew the door wouldn't last any longer so she grabbed her stuff from the living room as well as the picture in the frame and left.

"Gosh it stings!" Hannah complained, frustrated that her feet is causing her to slow down through the silent hallways.
She knows walking with a shoe that has a hole in it would slow her down so she grabbed a pair of shoes from one of the apartments she passed by. At this point she wasn't sure where to go and went towards Mr. Klein's post, hoping the two might be there safe and sound.
Hannah never really thought much about Noah leaving her behind since they don't know each other that well. But she does wonder where he might have run to.

As she ran a trail of blood followed behind her. Hannah was completely oblivious that this trail of blood could possibly lure someone to her....and it did.
A voice called out from behind her, Hannah turned towards the source and only see a dark pathway. She slowly approached the area and quietly called out to whoever was hiding in the darkness.
".....Hannah.....Hannah!" The more closer Hannah got the more familiar the voice sounds.
It was....Judy. Hannah stood right in front of her and stared at her in disbelief. She had thought that they might have ran far away from this place already or at one of the safe zones by now.
Hannah held Judy in a tight embrace, carrying her and spinning her around. They were both giggling at each other as though nothing bad is happening in the world.
They were so caught up with each other that the sound of an undead startled them and Judy started dragging Hannah to one of the rooms nearby.
"Hold on, Judy! It's not safe to barge into a random room" Hannah said in a hushed whisper, glancing around just in case something pops up.
Judy looks at her as if she was going nuts and opened a door to what read 'Security Office'.
Once in, Judy locked the door and pulled a small shelf with Hannah's help. Hannah felt odd about the whole situation but she never said another word.
"I'm a child Hannah! Children can't be alone! Daddy's here too but daddy is in pain..." Tears were forming in Judy's eyes.
Hearing Judy, Hannah's eyes lit up however she was worried after hearing that Mr. Klein was in pain.
Hannah just hoped, hoped that the injury does not involve a bite.

"...Mr. Klein!...Mr. Klein..." Hannah rushed over to his side and tears fell from her cheek.
She had wanted to go for an embrace but stopped herself since it may make the whole situation awkward but Mr. Klein thought otherwise. He pulled her into a tight embrace, tears forming in his eyes.
Mr. Klein had tried getting over to Hannah but a sudden situation made him unable to leave the room. He had also wanted to be able to keep Judy safe as much as he could however Mr. Klein could do nothing but watch his tiny daughter go around getting stuff done for them.
"Hannah!...Oh Hannah...I was hoping you had already managed to get over to an evacuation point. But man am I glad to see you here with us" Mr. Klein, gave a soft smile, wrinkles forming on his forehead as he did.
They caught up with each other, talking as if it was just a normal day in their life. Judy fell fast asleep on one of the office chairs, holding onto her little teddy bear. Hannah looked over to her and felt relieved.
"...Right, there's someone else with us now. He stumbled upon us just moments before you and should be in that room over there..." Mr. Klein pointed towards what seems like a higher ups office room.
Hannah nodded and went over, she knows how kind Mr. Klein can be and that may just stab him in the back someday. However, now that she's back with them, she will make sure they survive throughout this whole ordeal.
*KNOCK* *KNOCK*
"...Excuse me? ..Noah?" Noah stopped whatever he was writing on the computer and looked at Hannah, eyes widen. He tried saying something but no words came out other than the corners of his mouth twitching.
"....Hannah...I....I'm-I'm so sorry for leaving you back there" Noah got up from the chair and made his way over to her holding her tight, his face all smiley and bright.
"I thought...you were a goner" Noah said looking at her in disbelief.
Hannah felt a pang in her heart, did she really look like someone with no chance of survival. Hannah felt a sting in her leg again and Noah looked downwards to see the bleeding leg. Seeing the blood he stepped back slowly towards the table his hand reaching for something?
