They had all went to sleep after a long exhausting day. However, Hannah couldn't bring herself to sleep, with everything that's going on. She still felt a sense of fear and the wound on her feet kept reminding her of it. The air was cold and Hannah couldn't get herself to go back to sleep anymore. She got up and went to the main office hoping to be able to clear her mind. She spotted a bored game squished under tons of documents at the far end. She tried her best not to cause any noise only to fail as Mr. Klein was alerted due to the sudden ruckus. Hannah was almost suffocated by a pile of papers and Mr. Klein almost had a heart attack and might have almost accidently fired a shot at Hannah. "Hannah! Goodness, what are you doing up so late?" Mr. Klein helped removed the documents that were holding her down. "Uhh...Well...I couldn't really sleep..." Hannah felt embarrased knowing that she had disturbed his sleep and apologized later on. "And the first thing you thought of doing was to play chess?.....All on your own?" He looked at Hannah confused. It would be understandable if she were to play it on a phone or a computer since there's an AI, well people get desperate when they are in a tough situation I suppose. "Yea" Hannah gave him a curt answer, leaving Mr. Klein baffled "You really find ways to surprise me little bug" He chuckled, examining the chess board and the chess pieces. Hannah on the other hand looked offended but she never said anything because she knew it was pointless. "Here, let's find a nice table to play on" He got up and walked off into a distance as Hannah followed him from behind. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ "How are you so good at this" Hannah was getting restless. She had lost her queen, a few soldiers, a horse and both her bishop in just a split second. Meanwhile, Mr. Klein had only lost a horse and a few soldiers. "...Practice?" Mr. Klein replied, the corner of his mouth turning upwards as he moved his queen to checkmate Hannah's king. "Checkmate, you lost" He brought his hands curled up into the air as a victory celebration. "Dammit....!" Hannah slumped back into her chair looking back onto the chess board. Hannah's mind was fully focused on the game between her and Mr. Klein, forgetting about the stinging pain that came from her feet. Mr. Klein on the other hand had a fun time playing. It's been so long since he last touched a chess board let alone play with someone other than his father. Oh, perhaps he forgot to mention that his father is the reigning champion at the National Chess Championship. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ "Morning, Hannah" It was Noah. His hair was in a frenzy, it was all over the place unlike how he used to look. "You look like you got ganked by a bunch of birds" She said pointing towards his hair and his face that was full of sleep marks. "...." Noah spoke no words and left the room immediately, sparring no glance from Hannah. Mr. Klein who saw this said "That boy must be really wary of his looks" and placed a cup of coffee next to Hannah which she gratefully took, muttering a small thank you. Judy went up to Mr. Klein hugging one of his legs and hanging on it like a koala as he navigates through the cupboards looking for some food for them to eat. Mr. Klein's eyebrow furrows each time he opened a cupboard. "We are out of food" Mr. Klein announced as he briefly covered Judy's ears. It was obvious that none of them had eaten this morning and the only thing Hannah had is a chocolate bar that has already melted. She didn't feel to hungry at the moment and gave it to Judy who's stomach can be heard rumbling from afar. "...Thank you Hannah..."Judy shyly backs away, happily unwrapping the wrapper. Judy went off to one of the corners of the room and happily munched on the chocolate holding her teddy bear close. Noah beckoned for Hannah towards a room Mr. Klein had gone into a while ago. Heading in, Mr. Klein sat on one of the office chair, leaning backwards into the chair. Just little more backwards and he would fall off from the chair. Hannah took a seat next to him and Noah on the opposite side of her. "I'm sure you both know by now, we are completely out of food" He pulled out the same map they had used before and laid it on the table. "...and there's a few cafes about a few meters from here. They should have the food we need at least...I hope they do" Mr. Klein turned towards the two of them, waiting to hear what they would say. Noah was the first to speak out and surprisingly he agreed to the plan since it was close by. Hannah agreed as well, feeling her hunger slowly rising. "Now I will understand if any of you want to...back out. It's alright to be scared..." Mr. Klein said, although it sounds more like he was trying to convince himself of not being scared and Hannah noticed that. "We'll be right with you Mr. Klein. Right Noah?" Noah's ears perked up at the mention of his name. "Uh...yeah sure but...how about Judy? Is she coming along as well or?" "No....no. Judy would be much safer here and there's also a panic room just in case it needs to be used" Mr. Klein pointed towards a direction. "Mr. Klein....if you want to stay with Judy....we don't mind" Hannah placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "I can't have you kids going back out there all alone, especially after everything that had happened. And besides Judy is a smart kid" "I....could stay with Judy if you'd like. I don't think I could be of much help...with a missing arm" Noah said, raising his makeshift left arm that he had customized just recently. "...Y-you really don't have to Noah..." Mr. Klein felt bad leaving Noah to babysit Judy and he felt uneasy about it. But Noah managed to convince him and Mr. Klein as well as Hannah left the security office and went outside.
