"Is that the place?" Hannah glanced at the map in Mr. Klein's hands. "The very same" Mr. Klein folded the map and put it back in his backpack. There weren't many undead on the roads just a few...dead bodies. Hannah had a tight grip on the makeshift spear that Noah had made for them, slowly trudging forward alongside Mr. Klein. As they went closer, they realized there was no way in. The whole cafe is locked up however there was another way through the roof. "There, we should be able to make it through from there" Mr. Klein pointed towards the building beside it, a music store. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ "Goodness, there's too many of them" Hannah whispered. There were a lot of bodies in the shop itselfand it looks like there was still power running into the place. Hannah and Mr.Klein carefully maneuvered through the bodies, making sure they don't step on either of them in case they started to wake up. "...This ones alive. Be careful" Hannah looked towards the body Mr. Klein pointed at and saw that it was slightly twitching. "Okay" Hannah made sure to step away from it as far as possible. However, she had forgotten to pay attention tp her surroundings as well. "DAMN!" One of the undead was behind her, startled by her sudden footing on it's head. It got ahold of her food and bit into it. It kept it's teeth strong in place, sinking it in as much as it can. Hannah managed to pry it off by kicking it's head multiple times. The staircase is blocked off with chairs and tables piling up on each other, leaving them with no choice but to take cover in the staff room. "Okay. Foot up here" Mr. Klein patted the table and motioned Hannah's leg which she obliged to. He carefully unwrapped the cut out box that was protecting her leg and examined if the undead had left any injuries. Thankfully, it had only managed to pierce through the box barely missing the skin. Hannah and Mr. Klein sighed in relief. Mr. Klein did not want to be the one to have to make a big decision when it comes to life or death. Unfortunately, they were surrounded and had no way out. The banging on the door became louder and louder. It was obvious the door wouldn't be able to last any longer and the only way out is to either fight them or leave through the window. "We should be able to reach the roof if we go out through there" A window was wide open, revealing the cafe on the other side. Mr. Klein poked his head through the window and looked to his left and saw a pipeline leading upwards. He gave it a little shake to see if it was safe to climb it. He began by placing both his feet on the window frame and pulled himself upwards. Just then, a loud crash can be heard from the staff room alerting Hannah who then proceed to quickly get out through the window. The crashing sound had caused Mr. Klein to lose his footing as he tried to climb up in a hurry. "MR. KLEIN!" A startled scream from Mr. Klein caused Hannah to look up and grab him before he fell into the swarm that was forming below. "G-good catch!" He hoisted himself back up allowing Hannah to loosen her grip. Once up top, they realized that they had to find another way to leave later on. There weren't much on the roof, just piles of chairs and a small makeshift camp? There were signs indicating that there were people staying here before and it became much more obvious when there was some sort of journal hidden in one of the basket. "Looks like someone recorded the events that happened" Hannah flipped through the pages, examining each pages carefully. The journal was about two lovers who had went on a date the day the outbreak had happened. It seems they were enjoying their little picnic date up here on the roof which can be seen as there still a little bit of decorations lying around. How unfortunate they had to spend their date here. Right next to the journal was a small box....it contained a beautiful ring. It had a large diamond sitting in the middle with an engraving of a name in the inside of the ring. 'Casie' Hannah kept the ring in her pocket thinking it was too valuable to leave it be and who knows...she might be able to meet them somewhere. "It's gonna be tough to get over there" Mr. Klein exclaimed, sitting on the cold cement and wiping the sweat off his forehead. "It looks doable....." Hannah backed up to the other end of the roof and ran back towards the direction of the cafe. After gaining enough momentum, Hannah sprinted as fast as she could and jumped off of the railing ending up on the cafe's roof. "WOAH HOLD ON-" Mr. Klein tried to grab Hannah before she had jumped off the railing but failed. "HANNAH?!" He looked over the railing and downwards but see nothing but the swarm of undeads. A grunt was heard on the other roof andr. Klein looked over and saw a dishelved Hannah. "Gosh...it's been a long time, my whole body feels rusty" Hannah muttered and got back up on her feet. "HANNAH! YOU LITTLE-" Mr. Klein laughed out loud, while releasing a breath of relief and continued "Please, please tell me the next time your gonna pull something like that ever again" Hannah gave a small smile and looked around on the roof. There were a few planks lying around and a ladder The moment Hannah carried the ladder, it all fell apart. Bits of screws clattered onto the ground and Hannah threw the rest of the ladder at the undead down below. Suprisingly she managed to take two of them out. Mr. Klein on the other hand looked at her eyes wide. "Are you alright with walking on the plank" Hannah asked The sudden statement caught him off guard as he thought she was asking him to jump like she did and if he was willing to take the risk. "What? No! no, I- I can't do that. I'm too old for that" Hannah eyed him weirdly and placed the planks connecting one roof to another, creating a short pathway.
