Teenagers of the area, a few number of them gathered at a street. They kept an MP3 player at the middle of the road. "Now it's time for the dance. As your favourite dance song is being played, you'll dance on the road while the rest will sit down by the culvert, watching you perform", a guy standing, announced to his friends. "Let's start with Joseph", he announced. Everyone clapped for him, some hailing his name. Joseph stood up and walked up to the middle of the road. "Okay! DJ you know Joseph's fav song right? Just glance through that paper you're holding...it's got the fav dance songs of everyone", the same boy instructed the DJ. The DJ actually, was one of them. His phone was connected to the MP3 player. He browsed for the songs to play in his phone. He played Joseph's song and he began dancing, receiving cheers from his friends. Mr Robinson was watching them from afar. He loved what they were doing. Someone would dance for a short while and then the song would be changed to another. The person to dance to that song would get up, dancing from that spot to the road, taking over from the previous person. The previous person then would walk out of the road and join the spectators. Mr Robinson was dreaming of joining them. The thing telling him not to go was the fact he was way older than everyone there. But then, he spotted David getting up it was his turn to dance. "Oh! That's the fella I spoke rudely to in the morning", he said to himself. "Gotta go talk to him...", he thought, "I think I'd join the dance show." He walked up to the place. David was the last person and they were about to start over from Joseph again when he interrupted them. "Hey guys!", he greeted. The DJ paused the music and everyone turned their attention to him to listen to what he had to say. "I'd been watching y'all at a distance and I'll like to be part of this", he began. A boy and a girl in the midst of the audience had a little conversation. "This man isn't a Nigerian from his accent", the girl whispered to the boy. "Yeah! I also feel same", replied the boy. The host told Mr Robinson;"You're going to dance to our local songs?" He knew also Mr Robinson wasn't a Nigerian. He nodded and replied;"Of course! I'll dance to the very end." "Alright then!", host then turned to the DJ, "Play him any song of your choice." Mr Robinson faced the audience and noticed David looking at him with a surprise look. "The man that didn't want to talk to anyone now wants to partake in our dance show. Seriously?", David thought. The DJ played a dance song and Mr Robinson began dancing. He brought up fire from the start. Everyone loved his moves, even David was amazed. "Wow! He's really good at dancing", he said to himself. Passers by soon stopped to watch Mr Robinson's dance moves. He was really attracting everyone's interest. Every single soul watching him was cheering him to dance even more. * * * David and Mr Robinson were walking on the road back home. "You were really good in our dance show", David commended him, looking at him to see if he'd respond. "You were also very good. Thanks by the way", he replied. He kept silent for a while. "I'm sorry for the way I spoke to you in the morning, I was really in a bad mood", he apologized. Dave smiled and looked at him;"I knew you were in a bad mood, that's why I didn't take it personal. I accept your apology." He then asked;"But if you don't mind...may I be in the know of what made you sad, or is it something personal?" "Not really...just still not happy over the death of Ratboy", replied Mr Robinson. "Oooh...yeah! Even I ain't happy over his death. If I had powers to destroy that monster that took away his life, I'd have done so", said David. "Like seriously?", Mr Robinson got surprised. "Yeah! What I love doing most is helping people and that monster is the threat to Calabar right now, if only I had super powers, would have challenged him. I'm not scared of him." They got to David's home. "Your home's across the road Sir", said David, knowing Mr Robinson had not yet realized they'd arrived his home. "Oh! I totally forgot", he wanted crossing over but stopped to ask David, "Where do you live in?" "This is my home Sir", Dave referred to the house standing right in front of them. "Oh okay! Talk to you some other time...Bye!", he began crossing the road. "Bye Sir!", David responded and walked into his compound. Mr Robinson remembered something and called on David. "Hey!", he called. David turned to hear what he had to say. "My name's Mr Robinson!", he said. David smiled and said his;"My name's David!" They both walked away and got into their respective houses.
