Chapter 22 THE SLAVE PRINCESS

Chapter 22
"Ouch! ouch!" Queen Purity writhes in pain.
Madam Saher suddenly came.
"Queen Purity, what happened to you?" Madam Saher wondered.
"My head and stomach hurt after I drank the tea," Queen Purity said as she stroked her head.
"Stand up Queen Purity," Madam Saher said as she supported the Queen's shoulder to help her stand up.
As Madam Saher helped the Queen to lift herself she noticed blood flowing on the Queen's left thigh.
"Queen Purity, there's blood running down your thigh," Madam Saher said worriedly.
"What! Madam Saher please help me, I don't want to lose my baby," the Queen cried.
"Your Majesty, wait for me here, I will look for someone to carry you so that you can be taken immediately to the midwife of the Palace," Madam Saher hurriedly said.
Madam Saher quickly got two soldiers to help the Queen and they put her in the carriage to be quickly delivered to the midwife to check on her condition.
"Did you do what I ordered you?" Queen Bonya asked as she was excited to hear what the slave had to say.
"I have succeeded in my mission," the slave jabbered.
"I caught a glimpse of the Queen drinking tea and I was sure that the medicine I mixed in her drink had worked because I saw her being quickly delivered by some soldiers to the Palace hospital," the slave gladly reported to Queen Bonya.
"You did well," the Queen smiled while applauding.
"Take this piece of gold and leave and never show up in the Palace," said Queen Bonya as she hurried the slave to leave immediately.
"I'm sure Queen Purity has lost her pregnancy because of the ferocity of that herb," Queen Bonya sneered as her eyes followed the receding slave.
Meanwhile
"Your Majesty, it's a miracle because the fetus clung tightly into your womb and his situation inside was fine and was not affected by what you drank," said the midwife in a lively voice.
"What do you mean?" the Queen asked confused.
"Be careful of what you drink and make sure that what you drink does not harm your baby," the midwife reminded the Queen.
Queen Purity was feeling well and Madam Saher took her to her room to rest.
"Your Majesty, don't trust anyone especially Queen Bonya because I doubt that she is the one who did it," Madam Saher worriedly said.
"I have to protect my child and I will fight for him, no one will harm him especially at the hands of Queen Bonya!" Queen Purity glowered.
Queen Purity assigned soldiers to guard outside her room and strictly instructed them not to let anyone in without permission from her.
Queen Bonya wanted to know if Queen Purity had really lost her pregnancy so she thought of visiting her.
"I heard yesterday that Queen Purity was brought to the midwife so I am here to visit her," said Queen Bonya who suddenly appeared.
She was confused why there were soldiers guarding outside the Queen's room.
"Your Majesty, we are sorry to say but Queen Purity does not allow you to enter her room," the soldier responded in a respectful voice .
"Step aside maybe you forgot that I am a Queen!" Queen Bonya stared sharply at the soldier who intercepted her.
Another soldier approached her and held her both hands.
"Let me go!" the Queen raised her voice.
Queen Purity suddenly came.
"Leave my territory! From now on I don't want to see you here!" Queen Purity shouted at the Queen and shot her a sharp stare.
"Don't dictate me because I'm free to do what I want!" Queen Bonya replied angrily as she also glared at the Queen.
"Well, not here in my territory! I have the right to control anyone who enters here, because I am also a Queen and until the King and Prince return no one will dictate me!" Queen Purity scoffed as she bravely face the Queen.
Queen Bonya was disgusted and turned her back and went straight to her room.
"It's really annoying!" Queen Bonya growled as she threw the flower vase on the wall and broke it.
"I can't believe what Queen Purity did against me, she was even braver than I thought," her hands trembled in rage.
"Where she took the courage to fight me?" she asked herself disgustedly.
"I need to find a way as soon as possible before the Prince returns to his sanity," Queen Bonya said in a muted tone.
"Your Majesty, good morning," said Mona as she bowed her head .
"You are the one I have chosen to take care of me and to ensure the safety of my child," Queen Purity informed.
"Queen Purity, I'm very happy that you trust me," Mona uttered while staring at the Queen's belly.
"I am with you and Isaac and I am sure that you can be trusted and I entrust you with the preparation of my food and drink for the safety of my child," said Queen Purity as she hugged Mona.
Queen Bonya investigates the status of Queen Purity's pregnancy.
"Your Majesty, according to the midwife, the fetus is safe in Queen Purity's womb," said Queen Bonya's spy.
"What?" the Queen's eyes widened.
Five months passed and the King and Prince had not yet returned and Queen Bonya was worried because her belly had not grown, she peeked out her window and caught in her eyes that Queen Purity was happily airing while holding her growing belly.
She was disappointed with what she saw so she decided to visit her Queen mother to accompany her to see another midwife.
They went to a quack doctor.
"Your Majesty, good day! what do you need?" asked the quack doctor who was surprised by their sudden arrival.
"I want you to check the condition of Queen Bonya's pregnancy," Queen Cleopatra responded bluntly.
The Quack doctor laid Queen Bonya down and carefully examined her eyes, neck and above all her wrist but she shook her head as if her face was wrinkled as she gently stroked the Queen's stomach and suddenly said.
"Your Majesty, I am sorry to say but the Queen is not pregnant," the quack doctor sadly revealed.
"What! She's not pregnant?" she asked in astonishment.
Queen Cleopatra and Queen Bonya's eyes widened in shock.
