Meanwhile, Ginter was having a fun chitchat with some of his colleagues. "That made me swear never to try that stuff again", Ginter chuckled. "But you won't deny it. It was fun right?", a colleague giggled. "Well...", he shrugged off, just before he began shivering violently all of a sudden. His chitchat buddies and everyone else witnessing this incident became so much concerned. They all surrounded him. His chat buddies held him tightly to try to keep him still but to no avail. Just like the previous time, he soon stopped shivering and seemed to have lost consciousness. His buddy felt his radial pulse. "He's still alive", he said to everyone's hearing, "Let's take him to go have a checkup or something", he said to his friends. They gave Ginter some support and were on their way out of the station when he became conscious again. His friends noticed it when they felt his resistance from moving forward. "Why are you guys making me go for a checkup? Did I tell you something was wrong with me?", Ginter asked in a low angry tone. His friends were very startled by his question. "You don't remember what just happened to you?", one of them asked him. "I know what just happened. It's just a side effect. Everything will be fine before you know it", he replied in the same tone. "Side effect of what?", the same person asked him. Ginger gave no reply but with his super strength, forced his hands off their grip. He then turned back and headed for his office. "Ginter. You're sure you don't need to go for a checkup?", the other friend asked him. Ginter halted his movement and turned to face them feeling so outraged. "What did I tell you?", tilting his head from left to right, "I am completely...", he sprinted towards the friend that spoke last at his super speed and took off his head by spinning it off the neck very quickly, "...fine." What everyone could see was the officer's lifeless body on the floor while Ginter held its head in the air. "What did you do?", one of them yelled at him. The remaining two knelt down by their dead friend with tears in their eyes. Everyone in the station was astonished by what happened but were also scared to confront Ginter. They all took a few steps away from him, except the officers grieving by their lifeless friend. One of them got up to confront him. "Are you aware of what you just did you fool?!", he yelled. "Talk to me with respect", he said, raising his voice after each word. He angrily kicked both of them away, one after the other. They crashed into the furniture. "Hold it right there!", a voice behind yelled at him. He turned and saw several officers putting him at gunpoint. "If you do anything stupid again, we'll not hesitate to release fire." The rest left the area to avoid being hit by stray bullets. "Won't you guys give whatever you want to do some consideration? Is it worth it?", he smiled slyly at them. "You better stop talking!", the same officer ordered him. Superhuman in his super speed ran towards them, dragged the officer just beside the one leading the crew to himself, ran back to his initial position and killed the woman the exact same way before they could even blink their eyes. All they saw was one of their colleagues suddenly dead on the floor with her head removed and Superhuman wearing an evil smile. Without hesitation, they released multiple fire at him. Bullets would hit him and drop to the floor without even leaving a wound. He mocked them with sinister laughter. "I asked you guys to consider it. Now was it worth it?" His colleagues ceased fire and made several steps backwards. All of them were scared to their bones. "Now I'll make this fight easier by not using my super speed. Who's in for a chase?", he winked at them cunningly. He ran after them as they ran for their lives. He would kill anyone he got the same way he killed the first two officers. People around were very worried when they saw the city's police officers running out of the station, only for them to get the shock of their lives when they saw who was running after them - their lovely superhero, Superhuman. * * * "I was scared of telling him the truth when alone with me. He would have killed me if I had told something was wrong with him. He even said so", Dr Nicolaus told Stuart and Lieutenant Karl. "He's gonna find out the truth sooner or later", said Stuart. "Yeah. So how will you be able to escape his wrath then?", added Karl. "He may never find out", he replied, "Because if he becomes fully evil, he'll probably forget about many things when he was just Ginter", he explained. "Is there not a way to stop that from happening? I don't want to lose Ginter. He's someone I respect a lot for his good deeds", Karl expressed his worry. "Well...", Dr Nicolaus delayed his response, "I'm afraid not." "From what Dr Nicolaus explained to me when we were in the inner room, that accident's effect is irreversible", Stuart added, trying to hide his emotions. "I'm sorry Lieutenant", Nicolaus gestured for pandon. "It's not your fault alone. Everyone that supported and witnessed the experiment has a part to share in the blame, especially me for nominating Ginter to be the lab rat", Karl felt disappointed. "We ended up giving the SHC another opportunity to create a Super Creature in the name of making our own hero." "Let's not hold on to the past. What matters now is how we're gonna defeat him", Stuart rested his hand on Karl's shoulder. "So how will we defeat him? By killing him just like the previous super villains. Someone that's this way because of our mistake? He's innocent", he shrugged his shoulder off Stuart's hand, his disappointment growing even more. "We'll find a way to defeat him without taking his life", Stuart patted on Karl's back, assuring him. "That's a better option", Karl forced a faint smile. "Yeah", Stuart nodded, "What we have to do now is to find a way for Antboy defeat him", he said. Something beeped thrice before he finished talking, which got his attention. "What's wrong this time?", he trotted over to his systems. "What happened?", Nicolaus got curious. Karl was also curious. "Whenever we get beeps thrice in quick successions, it tells us something bad is going on somewhere in this city, big enough for the city to be concerned about. Just like the recent fire incident", he answered as he waited for the description of the issue and where it was happening to load and pop up on the screen. "Oh oh", he reacted, in a manner that the rest sensed it was serious. "What's going on?", asked Nicolaus as both of them walked up to Stuart. He left them to read from the monitor themselves and they both gasped in fear. "The moment I feared the most came quicker than I expected. He's fully bad now", Nicolaus gasped out. "He's currently destroying a lot of lives and properties", said Stuart. "How are we gonna stop him? We should inform Antboy", Karl hinted at them. "I'm scared of letting Antboy fight against someone that's indestructible", Stuart disagreed. "And also someone who's got super speed", added Nicolaus. "But we can't just stay here doing nothing", Karl raised his voice, almost freaking out. "Why did he turn fully bad now? Wrong timing. We haven't even found a way to beat him", Stuart felt devastated. Dr Nicolaus remained silent. Seeing there was no use, Lieutenant decided to take the bold step alone. "With or without Antboy, I'll be going anyway because I'm a cop and my job is to protect people until my last breath", he said to them. He showed them his gun in the holster round his waist. "I know he's indestructible but I'll use my weapon the best way I can." He walked out of the lab leaving Nicolaus and Stuart. Both of them thought of the best thing to do.
