I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride as I watched my daughter, Lily, bouncing with excitement in her pink dress, waiting for her dad to arrive for the Daddy-Daughter Dance at her school. I knew how much this moment meant to both of them, and I wanted to capture as many memories as possible. As soon as she saw, Felix, walking towards them, Lily ran towards him, and I snapped a picture of the two of them hugging. I knew that this moment would be cherished for years to come. The event was beautifully decorated with balloons, streamers, and fairy lights. I watched as Lily and Felix danced together, twirling and laughing as they moved to the music. I couldn't help but feel a sense of joy wash over me as I saw the love between father and daughter. I took as many pictures as I could, capturing each special moment between the two of them. I knew that these memories would be treasured forever, and I wanted to make sure that I had captured every single moment. As the night came to an end, Lily hugged Felix tightly, and I captured one final picture of the two of them. I knew that this moment would be forever etched in our hearts, and I was grateful for the opportunity to witness such a special moment between my daughter and her father. As they walked back to the car, Lily held her father's hand tightly. When we arrived home, I still see the happiness on Lily's face. "Daddy, why don't you dance with mommy," Lily said, giggling. Felix smiled at Lily and turned towards me. "Would you like to dance, my love?" he asked, holding out his hand. I couldn't help but smile as I took his hand, and we danced in the living room. It wasn't as fancy as the dance at Lily's school, but it was just as special. As we moved together, I knew that I was creating memories that would last a lifetime. "I love you," I said as I look into his eyes. "I love you so much," he replied and leaned unto me to give me a kiss. We continued dancing while hugging each other, and Lily was there taking pictures of us with my camera. It was a beautiful moment, and I felt so grateful for my family. As the night drew to a close, we all settled onto the couch, looking through the pictures I had taken at the dance. Lily was still buzzing with excitement, telling us all about her favorite parts of the night. Felix and I couldn't help but laugh at her enthusiasm, and I felt so lucky to have such a happy and loving family. As we looked through the pictures, I couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia already. Lily was growing up so fast, and moments like these felt even more precious because they were fleeting. But I knew that no matter how quickly time passed, the love and memories we had created together would stay with us forever. And that was the most important thing. As the night came to an end, I tucked Lily into bed and kissed her goodnight. As I turned off the light, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the love and happiness that surrounded us. And as I drifted off to sleep, I knew that I would always cherish the memories of this special night with my family. *** I woke up to the sound of my phone buzzing on the nightstand. Still groggy, I picked it up and squinted at the screen. It was a notification from my music app, announcing that Red's album had just been released. My heart skipped a beat. I had been eagerly waiting for this moment for months. I nudged Felix, who was still sleeping beside me. "Wake up, wake up!" I said excitedly, shaking him gently. "Red's album is out!" Felix groaned and rubbed his eyes, clearly not as excited as I was. But he knew how much I had been looking forward to this. "Okay, okay," he said, sitting up and reaching for his phone. "Let's give it a listen." I quickly opened the app and searched for Red's album. The cover art, featuring Red standing against a brick wall with graffiti, looked incredible. I hit play on the first track, which I knew was the one that Felix and Red had recorded together. The song started with a guitar riff that sent shivers down my spine. Then Red's voice came in, clear and strong. It was a slow, soulful ballad, with lyrics that felt like they were written just for me and Felix. I closed my eyes and let the music wash over me, feeling every note and every word. When the song finished, Felix and I looked at each other in silence for a moment. "Wow," he said finally, breaking the quiet. "That was amazing." I nodded, too overwhelmed with emotion to speak. Red's music had always been powerful, but this album felt like a whole new level. I couldn't wait to listen to it again and again, discovering new layers and nuances with each listen. "I'm so proud of you," I said, wrapping my arms around him. "And of Red, too." He smiled, feeling grateful for the love and support, "Me too," he said. "This is just a new beginning for him." I grabbed my phone and scrolled through my contacts until I found Red's name. With a smile on my face, I pressed the call button and waited for him to answer. "Hey, Iris!" Red's voice came through the phone. "Congratulations on the release of your album, Red! I just listened to it this morning and it's amazing," I exclaimed, my voice filled with excitement. "Thanks, Iris! I'm glad you enjoyed it," he replied, his voice filled with happiness. "I'm so proud of you, Red. You've worked so hard on this, and it really shows. The songs are beautiful, and your voice is just incredible," I said, my heart filled with admiration. "I couldn't have done it without Felix," Red said, his voice filled with gratitude. "He really helped bring the song to life." "I know he did, Red. He's been talking about how much he enjoyed working on the song with you. You two make a great team," I replied, smiling at the thought of Felix and Red working together. "I'm so grateful for Felix's help, and I'm so glad we could create something together. Thank you for your support, Iris. It means a lot to me," Red said, his voice filled with sincerity. "Of course, Red. I'm always here to support you and your music. Congratulations again on the album, and I can't wait to see what you create next," I said, feeling happy for my friend. "Thanks, Iris. You're the best," Red replied, and we said our goodbyes before hanging up. I couldn't help but feel a sense of happiness and pride for my friend. I knew how much this album meant to him, and I was so happy to see him achieve success. It was a great feeling to be able to support my friend and celebrate his accomplishments.
