EPILOGUE

As Felix and I walked along the sandy beach, I couldn't help but feel a sense of peace wash over me. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore was soothing, and the warm sun on my skin felt invigorating.
Felix and I had come to the beach for a much-needed break from our busy lives, and I was grateful for this moment of respite.
We strolled along the shoreline, our feet sinking into the sand with every step. Felix reached over and took my hand, his fingers lacing with mine.
"Isn't this amazing?" he said, his voice filled with wonder.
I nodded, smiling. "It's so peaceful here. I feel like I could stay here forever."
We walked in comfortable silence for a while, watching as the seagulls flew overhead and the waves rolled in. I could feel my mind clearing, my worries and stress melting away with every passing moment.
Felix suddenly let go of my hand and ran towards the water, laughing. I followed him, the cool water washing over my feet as I splashed in the waves.
We played like kids, jumping and splashing in the water, the sun warming our skin. For a while, nothing else mattered except this moment, this feeling of freedom and joy.
As we grew tired, we made our way back to our beach towels and lay down on the warm sand, basking in the sun.
Felix reached over and took my hand again, his eyes meeting mine. "I'm so glad we could do this," he said.
I smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude for this wonderful moment. "Me too. It's nice to just be able to relax and enjoy each other's company."
We lay there for a while longer, watching as the clouds drifted lazily across the sky. It was a moment of pure bliss, and I knew that I would always treasure it.
"I wish Isla was here to witness the beautiful things that happened in our lives," I smiled as I look at the clear blue sky.
"I know Isla was happy for you, Iris," Felix smiled at me.
I took a deep breath and turned my attention back to the present. The beach was stunning, and the sun was shining bright. The waves crashed against the shore, and the salty air filled my lungs. It was a perfect day.
"What's on your mind?" I asked, breaking the silence.
"I was just thinking about how lucky I am to have you in my life, Iris," Felix said, turning to me with a smile.
I felt a warmth spread through me, and I couldn't help but smile back. "I feel the same way, Felix," I said, feeling my heart swell with affection for my husband.
We sat in comfortable silence for a while, enjoying the sound of the waves and the warmth of the sun. As we watched the seagulls flying overhead, I knew that Isla would have loved to be here with us, but I also knew that she was with us in spirit.
I leaned my head on Felix's shoulder, feeling a sense of peace wash over me. Today was a day to remember, and I was grateful for the moments shared with Felix and the memories of Isla that we held in our hearts.
As I sat on the beach, watching my children run around, playing with each other and laughing, I couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment and happiness wash over me. Hearing their joyous laughter and watching their carefree spirit brought a smile to my face.
It was moments like these that made all the hard work of being a parent worth it. Seeing my children grow up to be happy, healthy, and kind individuals was the greatest reward I could ever ask for.
As I sat there, watching them, I felt grateful for the opportunity to be their mother and to experience these precious moments with them. The sound of their laughter filled me with a sense of joy that I couldn't describe.
They were so full of energy, so carefree, and so happy. Watching them play made me feel grateful and blessed. It wasn't always easy raising them on my own, but it was moments like these that made it all worth it. I watched as they built sandcastles, chased each other in the water, and collected seashells. They were living in the moment, and I felt grateful to be able to witness their happiness and to be a part of their lives.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, taking in the salty ocean breeze and the warmth of the sun on my skin. At that moment, everything felt perfect, and I knew that no matter what challenges may come our way, my family would always be my source of happiness and strength.
Felix reached out and held my hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "We did good, Iris," he said, his voice filled with pride.
I turned to him and nodded, feeling a lump form in my throat. I was so grateful for Felix, for his love and support, for being there for me and my children when we needed him the most. He was the missing piece in our puzzle, and I couldn't imagine my life without him.
I leaned my head on his shoulder, and we both continued watching our children play. The sun was setting, casting a golden glow on everything around us. It was a perfect moment, a moment that I wanted to freeze in time.
As the sky turned dark, we packed up and headed back to our rented beach house. The children were tired, but their smiles never faded. As we walked back, holding hands, I couldn't help but feel contented and happy for my family.
When we reached the beach house, we all went to take a quick shower before getting ready for dinner. As I washed the sand off my skin, I couldn't help but smile at the memory of our day at the beach.
We all gathered around the dining table, enjoying a delicious meal and chatting about our day. The children were full of stories about the sandcastles they had built and the seashells they had found. Felix and I listened, feeling a sense of pride and happiness at their innocent joy.
After dinner, we sat on the porch, watching the stars twinkle in the sky. The sound of the ocean was soothing, and the cool breeze felt refreshing on our skin.
As we sat there, I realized that this was what life was all about. These moments of simple joy, of being with the ones we love, of feeling contented and grateful for what we have.
I leaned back in my chair, feeling a sense of peace wash over me. Felix reached over and took my hand, his fingers lacing with mine.
"I love you," he said, his voice soft and tender.
"I love you too," I replied, feeling my heart overflow with love for my husband and my children.
We sat there for a while longer, enjoying the beauty of the night and the peace of the moment. As I looked around at my family, I knew that this was all I ever wanted, all I needed to be happy.
As we said goodnight and headed to bed, I felt a sense of contentment and gratitude wash over me. Today was a day to remember, a day filled with love and joy. And I knew that tomorrow would be just as wonderful, filled with new adventures and moments to treasure.
