No one had been expecting the quake and no one had expected the blast either. He had been in the room with the general before all the destruction. When he came to, he was underneath the entire thing, but he didn’t dwell on that. The king was first and foremost. The communication was dead and there was no power in any part of what was once the great castle. Then he went checking for the King and he wasn’t in there. Neither were the other leaders. He was certain that he wasn’t dead. None of them were dead because there was no body. Yes they have been given a fatal blow, but they couldn’t just sit down while their king was fighting for them. He and a couple of others had gone around to check for survivors and others who could stand up to go to battle. Getting back to the castle, the royal family and they were ready. The others must have gotten back to their quads, well what was left of it. He had seen the damage, the absolute carnage. It was horrifying. It was disgusting. The generals had joined him back with royal advisors. It hadn’t been hard spotting the blasts in the far distance. He had gone far ahead leaving the troop in the hands of the general and the crowned princess. And he got there just in the nick of time to move them out of there. He had never seen an attack like that, yet again he didn’t even know who the enemy was. He wasn’t ready for this, he had never been in war before. Getting his king and the others to safety everyone had arrived and someone must have been able to put the communication line back up. And now they were all behind them. Tempa, Elementa, Sava and lastly Luvina. Tresicta stood on her throne with a manic grin on her face. She folded her arms and there was nothing but butterflies all around her and Kieran. They weren’t going to their opponents, but they were going up. Now there was no time to play around. Everyone was here and whoever wasn’t here was clinging onto their pathetic existence or dead. Everyone here would die and whoever survived would be under her rule. They would all be united. There would no longer be Tempan or Luvinan or Savan and Elementan. They would all be one, first off there needed to be a cleansing. And it had to be everyone starting from the leaders and ending at the peasants. But she didn’t just want to blast all of them so quick. She needed all of them to know what she was all about. Make a comeback they could all say. They had all underestimated her. There was a cloud now above them. Dark, eerie and ominous. There was already green thunder sparking inside it. She had blocked the clouds and the sun. “Just like Luvina when I was younger” she said looking at the battlefield. “Now we can begin”. Dilia’s eyes squinted a little. She wasn’t sure if she just saw something drop from the sky. “Looks like she really didn’t need a Supernatural army” Victor stated. The glasses over his eyes new. Must have been replaced. “I’m going up” Dilia said already ascending and the butterflies fanning all around her. The three men looked on. “Deadly” Agira stated. They weren’t sure what dropped, but they increased in number. They looked like lumps of flesh because of the ‘THUD’ that sounded as they collided with the ground. And soon they were moving. Not towards them, but moving. They seemed to be morphing? Taking shape. And they all watched, none of them doing anything as it morphed into what distinctively resembled a Supernatural form. Two arms, two feet and a torso, but it looked unnatural. A freak of everything Supernatural. “Hale do you see this?” Snow asked a hand on his ear. “I do your highness” he replied. “Hold position” he said removing his finger. The things began to make some noise and then they were in motion. There were moving, towards them. “This is going to be tough” Snow said the summoning seal appearing on both palms and Victor wasn’t far back and so was Agira. A Pegasus, a tiger and a snake appeared from the seal standing by the people who summoned them. Dilia looked on as Snow got onto the back of his Pegasus. “Even his summoning his regal. You don’t have to like him Dragnalia, but you have to admit that Snow is one beautiful man”. “Ma’am” Dragnalia replied. “Yes” she said. “I’m not the only one connected to this currently”. Dilia’s eyes went wide before she groaned in embarrassment and when she looked back down. Snow was looking up at her. “I knew they liked each other” Agira said. “Me too” Victor said as his snake curled round him. A huge, gigantic snake curling round the man who could shoot destructive light out of his eyes, and he still didn’t look menacing. “Get in formation!” Hale said over the line. Victor got onto the head of his snake. Agira didn’t get on his oversized cat. He didn’t need to. They were closer now. “Now!” There were four voices. He was sure that was the voices of the generals. Victor took off with the other two, on top of their animals with their subjects following them. And when both sides collided that was when the war began. Weapons clashing, Victor shooting his lasers out of his snake’s mouth and no one ever knew they could move in directions like that. In patterns and in zigzag. He really did need those glasses after all. Snow attacked from above. Dilia had been the one to stay back. Everyone was battling, but she was doing aerial surveillance. She noticed that there was no decrease in numbers. That was because there weren’t stopping. They kept dropping and no matter how everyone fought. She had to attack from the source. The butterflies multiplied in thousands behind her and went for the cloud. Tresicta looked to Kieran quirking her brow. “Do you need an invitation?” she questioned. “I’d like to observe more how you work” he stated. She smiled. She couldn’t deny her supporter. Her earring chain broke and they fell towards the ground. She had the strength in numbers and not one of them have been able to cross her sea of creatures to her throne. Looking up she saw one of them wither and die. A closer look she saw Dilia’s pesky pets. Her butterflies were on the ground now. At full size. And though she didn’t want to admit it, there was a limit to her. She couldn’t concentrate on the creatures and concentrate on the butterflies too. It was time for Kieran’s mind to go to work. She could do it, but she wasn’t uncoordinated. She had style and she had class. “Go ahead” she told Kieran. “They’re all yours”. “You know that I can’t just ignore your creations”. “Go ahead” she laughed. They won’t mind. And the steel moved with great speed. Hale perked up when he could hear blades. Up ahead he could see….he wasn’t sure what was moving, but it was moving towards all of them at breakneck speed. It was spinning, it had blades and was cutting up the green things. Hale didn’t know what order to give when he saw it. He was involuntary frozen and the blades were coming towards him. What brought him back to the present was ice coming out in front of him and taking the spinning blades up and it landed onto the ground luckily far away from him. Sapphire was by his side. “Don’t make things harder than it already is” she smiled taking his hand. “What was that?” “Do you mean what was coming after me or why I just stopped?” Sapphire just stared at him. “I don’t know the answer to that”. “Fight with me” she said the sleeves of her armor glowing and there was a snow lion and a snow tiger beside both of them. “How do you suggest we stop that?” “There was no preparation and I am not the general. They’re the ones to make the plans and I am here to protect the king and to improvise”. Stephanie severed the head of a green creature swinging the slime of her steel. She couldn’t believe Clara had done this. But it wasn’t Clara, but the woman that was doing this was in Clara. She couldn’t stop to think. She didn’t even have time for her thoughts. Not when her home collapsed on her head, not when she had get ready for a battle she wasn’t ready for. She couldn’t even search for Kieran or Daniella. She hadn’t been in anything like this before, but she couldn’t die. There were things to do. The new weapon that were slicing through Supernaturals like they weren’t significant. Her arms were encased in ice as she ran to the middle. She had been trailing those blades for a while. And she had made trails for them, well she had been trying to reduce the death count but it was like it had a mind of its own. But she had been resilient and now they were both coming towards each other. She used the ice to launch herself and was able to twist in-between and her arms glowed a blinding blue and they both made contact both palms and there was a blast of eyes and the steels went flying and landed on its back. Taking a closer look it was butterflies. An odd weapon choice. But she couldn’t even focus on this. Soldiers, because currently she was a soldier, not just a princess. They moved in to seal it, but it just floated back up and above the seas of green creatures. “Telekinesis” she murmured. She hadn’t come across a lot of them, but she knew that Kieran couldn’t be the only wielder of that power. But he was still missing. Clara had taken him, hadn’t she? There was no way, but she was going to see for herself. Agira was fast. Fast like lightning as he moved past other Supernaturals, the creatures and cutting through them. His tiger was a ball of destruction making a path for him, but also watching his back. “Breeze” Snow told his animal. “Your highness” he replied. Snow just looked down and they just wouldn’t go down and with what the four of them had gone through earlier it was taking its toll now. He needed to do this now. He stood on the back of Breeze. “I’m going to drop in, you’re going to stay above”. “Yes your highness”. Snow jumped off his whole body getting covered, but not by ice. Yes it was ice, but also fire at the same time. As he descended it got bigger and bigger and when he touched down there was a huge blast. “Snow isn’t like other water controllers you’ve seen” she said with a smile. “He can shift and bend that element from water to ice and ice to water…..” “Nothing new there” Kieran cut her off. “But there is” she grinned. “Snow controls ice fire”. “What is ice fire?” Kieran sounded disgusted. “You know how your fire burns? Burns to a crisp? And ice is meant to freeze? Ice fire does two things. Not only does it instantly freeze upon contact, it melts way faster than lava”. Kieran scoffed in disbelief. “See for yourself” she gestured to the battle below them. Snow still had his body protected and he was making a beeline for that throne and so was Agira. He slid beneath one of the creatures freezing it with barely a touch, and shot his leg back crumbling what was once life. He punched another and there was a lot of seeable cold air. Snow’s fist had passed through the creature and first the arm fell off and the body slowly crumbled before him, and it was nothing more than a worthless pile of melted flesh. “It reeks” he replied building up energy within before releasing it. Above them was the cloud dropping abominations and on the ground was the abominations. He could just go in throwing ice everywhere, but the numbers. Even Agira hadn’t gone far. “Hale” he said a sledgehammer forming in his hand. “Yes your highness”. “Deploy fire users”. “What are you planning king?” Agira asked. “Just trust me” he said and the communication went dead and he released a deep breath. There was a significant drop in temperature. “Snow what gives?” Dilia questioned. He breathed out again. The creatures didn’t stop, albeit there were moving slowly. Skye looked around the battlefield and he could see and feel the visible discomfort. He was used to the temperature. He controlled ice and the crystal palace was…used to be cold sometimes. But other parts of Elementa weren’t. His father’s very own subzero drop. The creatures were finding it hard to move and seemed to be freezing up. This was their chance. They advanced and he could see fire users spread-out to other units of other quads. Spreading their warmth it seemed. He gripped his chain in his hands and took off with everyone else. There was no more coordination in battle, everyone was mixed up and that was thrilling. They were very much easier to beat. They were freezing up and so close to smashing. But as it affected the creatures it affected every other Supernatural not affiliated with water or ice. “Snow” Victor yelled in his ear. “You need to stop now”. “We are so close” he looked up ahead at Agira making a red lava part for himself. And the ones that dropped, they instantly smashed as they made contact with the ground. Dilia’s pets turning most of them to dust. “End this now!!” Victor yelled. Snow stopped taking deep breaths. At least there was a massive drop in their numbers. “Do you want to do it or will now be the perfect time for you to gift them with that beauty?” “Now will be the perfect time” and his wings were back on his back and he took off. Into the dark, sparking cloud, all the way to the real clouds where they had left her. He couldn’t bring her too close because she posed a risk of destroying everything. She’d have to do it from here. He landed on her back and she knew what to do. She only knew one thing and that was to rain down fire. Tresicta looked back down. At least she was dressed for the weather. Fire, with more strength than a waterfall came down on the battlefield before her. It was pure fiery beauty. “Everyone fallback!!” went through all the communication lines. She looked up at Kieran and she knew he wasn’t going to relent anytime soon. When you get just a taste of that power, you get intoxicated by it and you would never want it to stop. This didn’t have words. She had run out of words that were associated with beautiful. This was just wonderful. Everything, even her creatures burning to a crisp. She wanted to be in the midst of that. To feel it. But she had an even better idea. But that would only happen when Kieran would stop and he didn’t seem keen on stopping anytime soon. No worries, she was enjoying it. She sat back on her throne laughing as she watched. Kieran decided to stop after a while. With how big the flames well, he didn’t need to move around much. He covered almost the entire plane of the battlefield. She wasn’t needed for now. He dropped down from her back and back to the world beneath. It was absolute devastation. The entire battlefield was desolate. It hadn’t been like this earlier, now it looked burnt of life. There was no visible life as far as she could see. Maybe they had all been burnt to a crisp or they had retreated. Either way she was going to have all of them on their knees begging for mercy. Kieran landed beside her throne and she stood up. “Ready to go down now?” he asked her. “No, not yet. I want you to use my steel again. I want to see who’s alive”. Tresicta was full of surprises. First the quake and now fire from the sky. As expected no one was ready for that and there hadn’t been time for everyone to get away. It wasn’t like they hadn’t expected death. That was an effect of war, but now that it happened it wasn’t what they had been hoping for. The smell alone didn’t settle with some. “Hale” Snow said. “Yes your highness”. “How is it on your side?” Snow tried not to let his irritation and his tiredness show. If he was like this he wondered how the rest were holding up. “Most of us made it out before the fire”. “Well I need all of us back front and centre. She seems to be regrouping”. Dilia was back to her position. When she had seen the intense flames, she wasn’t even sure that the fire wouldn’t burn her to ash. She was back and from the sky she could see clearly all the effects of what had happened. Lucky for the Supernaturals beneath her, her butterflies worked in reverse. Their touch could degenerate and regenerate. There was an endless supply for everyone. In war there was no time for rest. Agira lay on his stomach on the back of his tiger. He could feel the exhaustion off his companion, but the creatures were falling from the sky. His throat was raw and sore. Victor’s eyes hurt and there was a little blood. He could barely see. He had overexerted himself, they all had. But they couldn’t stop here especially after all that happened just a while ago. The tiredness was deep in their bones. They all needed healers. Something touched his shoulder and he would have done what he could when he saw a clear symbol of death on his shoulder. He would have screamed Dilia if he didn’t feel all the pain going away. Victor stood up straight smirking at the overlord in the sky with all her focus on the creatures. Sapphire hadn’t seen that much fire, she didn’t want to remember what she just saw. That would be in her night terrors, now it was time to fight. Those things were coming again. “Ice” she said to her tiger. “Frost” she called her lion. “What are you thinking princess?” Frost asked. “To end this. We-we have lost on every side and I will end this. She placed her hand on her ear. “If the general is dead, I’m making a call”. “Your highness” obviously Hale. “I’m going forward. Any Supernatural interested in finishing this can follow me!” and she released a war cry from deep within like Hale had taught her and she was running. At the same speed with her lion and her tiger. There was no plan except one. All forward and all together. And as she ran she saw not only every representative from Elementa, she saw from other planets as well. Her bow was in her hand and it was shooting out ice and she let it go, and it floated by her side shooting rapidly, and Ice and Frost doing the rest as they got shot. It was to advance and conquer. Stephanie decided to take to the sky with the others that could fly. With the quake and the blast that destroyed everything there was no fleet of ships to help with aerial attacks. The fire that had attacked, she knew that heat signature. That was the reason she had taken to the sky. To have an owl did come in handy. She looked ahead and she could see Clara and by her side, she could see him. She could see Kieran. Then and there, she lost the will to fight and just stayed there. It was mind control. It had to be. Clara wasn’t in her right state of mind and Kieran had been trying to bring her in before it got taken. He had attacked with fire. He had been the one controlling the steel. He had declared war against home world, his fellow Supernaturals and had aided in the destruction. Everyone was running to kill both her friends and for the first time she didn’t have a plan. She wanted to…..no she needed to find Daniella. “Advance and conquer, nice” she chuckled raising a leg and putting it on an arm. “Send the steel in and cut everything up” she told Kieran who didn’t need to move. The steel levitated and went towards the incoming crowd. Dragnalia ran ahead and he could only focus on one and not the other. He opened his mouth and released a sonic wave. Not completely halting it in its tracks, but was able to stop it for a few seconds. Victor aimed at it and shot it back to the controller. Dragnalia was able to multiply himself into four. They grouped themselves and they tossed the other all high in the air. Tresicta had not been expecting that and she realized that she had been too carefree. But the twins didn’t land on the throne. They landed beside the throne and at the same time they released a sonic screech and that shook her. Kieran too and it shook her concentration. The creatures stopped dropping for a while. She couldn’t get a grip on anything and their opponents were able to advance. “Mute it!” she yelled her hands on her ears. Kieran screamed and was able to stretch his arm to both sides and released fire. Not like he had done with the dragon, but really close to it. That was able to stop the vibrations. “Time to turn this around” she said and when she looked up, not only creatures dropped. Chains did coming out like bullets and impaling itself on the earth. And if a creature or a Supernatural happened to be there it would go right through them. “This isn’t time for you to be idle” she said to him her voice all dark. Kieran levitated off his feet without the help of his wings. His chakram was beside him. The circular weapons covered in flames and they were expanding. They were better than her steel anyway. They floated directly over the multitudes and it descended upon them. Tresicta didn’t seem pleased on sitting down soon. Her fingers glowed gold and she had a plan. And it would change the whole trajectory of everything. She had done her research even if everyone hadn’t done theirs. And she knew Snow was most vulnerable. He was the only one with children. She would see just how useful this puppetry is. Ten would be okay and she raised her hands up to the crowd catching the creatures before they fell. Two to his oldest, two to his middle child, two to his son and four to the woman who was rumored to have something with the now King of Elementa in the past. She just had to lead them there. And throwing four creatures to the woman would disturb her focus and she would let her creatures fall. Dilia didn’t expect to see the ugly things coming right at her. They couldn’t even fly and now she just realized she was out in the open with no form of other protection and she couldn’t keep the smoky appearance because she was trying to kill and heal at the same time. She disintegrated four of them easily and went back to what she was doing hoping she hadn’t mixed it up. Stephanie knew it was Kieran. She saw his print in the weapon which were flames that had been branded on it and she could see it clearly. This wasn’t time for her to get lost. If Kieran was under mind control she needed him to come back to normal before anyone killed him. Before she was forced to kill him. She didn’t need to move or turn to throw her sword impaling both creatures in the head. She needed to get to him first. Skye found it weird that the creatures came towards him. They had no coordination and no mind so the things coming at him made him ask questions. Sapphire had been preoccupied that she hadn’t seen the creatures. Ice and Frost were far away and she heard their scream a little bit too late. When she turned, there were close and she didn’t know what to really do. Hale was by her side like a flash and they took to the sky, “It seems that I saved you this time” he said with her in his hands. “Hale look out!” He couldn’t move in time. He threw her out of his hands and a chain penetrated through his armor and came out the other side. “Sir….Sir Hale” a single tear slid down her cheek as she held onto the chain that had impaled him. “Sa-Sap….” Where she held onto the chain froze and she pulled at it and it broke off and she hugged him as they plummeted to the earth in each other’s arms. Well that wasn’t what she had planned, but it worked either way. They were all getting cocky….and close. She hadn’t given the common Supernaturals a taste of what she had put their leaders through. She levitated off her throne steps and she didn’t need to make a massive energy ball. She’d just push them back a little. Give them a little scare. “Dragnalia!” Dilia screamed. “Hale!” Snow barked. “Barriers now!” they both said. There were urgent orders and there was a barrier team all of them raising up barriers. Multiple barriers were raised and Tresicta just laughed which just sounded like a screech. “The barriers won’t work!!” she screamed and there was a blast from the last foot of the step all to the way to the barriers. It was so big that the chakrams was blown away. “Nothing will work” and the barriers went flying and the chakram going in as soon as it broke. And another blast for extra measure.
