CHAPTER 10

           AMANDA'S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
"Hi Miss Shaira, good morning!" Amanda's friends greeted her in the kitchen.
"Good morning; you woke up all so early this morning," said the auntie, smiling.
Amanda's auntie seemed to be in a good mood.
"Auntie, sit here and drink the coffee. Taste it, and I am certain that you will love the taste," said Amanda.
"Wow, this is delicious, dear!"
"By the way, why are you busy in the kitchen when you seem to have so much to prepare?" she added.
"We will make you taste foods that you have never tasted before, Miss Shaira," said Jason.
"Surely you will love all of these, Miss Shaira," said James.
"Wow, thank you, guys. You know I can't remember all your names!"
They introduced each other again to Miss Shaira.
"Ah, I'm sorry, I really don't remember. I only remembered your faces."
"That's okay, Miss Shaira, as long as you can taste all of our cooking," said Mike.
"Mommy Shaira, today is my birthday, so we are cooking a lot. We thought we would enjoy eating delicious food today. Do you want us to go out and have a picnic at the place where you took me? Amanda disclosed now that it was her birthday.
"Ah, did I take you there?"
"Yes, mommy, did you forget that?"
"Ah, I don't remember!"
Amanda showed her the photos of them when they went to the mountain.
"Oh, yes, let's go there, dear! I've really forgotten. Sorry! "
"Hehehe!  She was laughing, and Amanda was just smiling.
"Is it okay with you, Auntie, that we go back there and have a party there? Let's bring the food being cooked and the small table! Amanda said,.
"Oh, okay, dear. You will surely like that place."
"I told them that it's beautiful there, the air is very fresh, and you can see a beautiful view because it's really at the top of the mountain."
"Yes, Miss Shaira, we want to be able to relax and breathe fresh air, and we are fed up with the polluted air in the city," said Jason.
They had helped each other cook in the kitchen, and this Auntie Shaira was just a taster who was very happy with every taste of the dish. After cooking, they had breakfast together. Everyone had prepared their things and food before leaving.
"Mommy Shaira, don't you have any other clothes besides black?" asked Amanda.
"I'm used to wearing black. I don't know why; I just always pull it out of my drawer."
"Miss Shaira, we bought some clothes for you. Try wearing them," said Jason.
Auntie Shaira went to her room and got dressed.
"Let's celebrate birthdays, not deaths!" James said in a lower voice to Amanda.
Mike giggled when he heard what James said. Auntie Shaira came out of her room.
"Wow, the dress color I bought for you suits you, Miss Shaira," Kitty commended. Her reaction was just a smile.
Everyone was ready to go to the mountain, and they have put everything to be taken inside the car.
"Auntie Shaira, come in," said Mike.
"Take it easy, Miss Shaira," said James.
They headed to the destination; everyone was excited; and Amanda's auntie was just behaving and being silent.
"Wow, the views in this area are beautiful," said Jason as he looked out the car window and opened it.
"It's the first time I've been able to travel in my life here in the province, because I'm only going around the city," he added.
"It's good that you came; I've been forcing you lately to come," said Mike.
"Are we close to the destination now?" asked Lara. "Yes, we will get there in about fifteen minutes," answered Amanda while looking at the clock.
At exactly 11:30 in the morning, they arrived at the place, and they were placing their things, and there they were under the mahogany tree.
"It's a very nice place here, and it's a very quiet place," James said, marveling at its beauty.
"Yes, it's relaxing, James! It seems the tiredness will go away now that you and Amanda have met," Mike said jokingly.
"Of course, it's tiring, so let's embrace nature and enjoy our bonding together." The two talked while the girls were taking care of the food.
"Come and eat," said Amanda.
Before eating, they prayed and sang "Happy Birthday" to Amanda.
"Guys, thank you for all your efforts and for visiting us. Ahmm, let's eat and enjoy today," said Amanda.
Everyone had eaten and was very serious about eating the food, and suddenly Auntie Shaira spoke.
"I have never felt like this before; these foods are so tasteful and interesting—different flavors, different colors," Auntie Shaira suddenly said.
Everyone turned to see Auntie Shaira reacting like a child while eating the cake.
"Babe, hasn't she eaten food like that before?" James asked curiously.
"I don't know either; I don't know Auntie that well yet."
"It's like your aunt is weird sometimes."
"Could she be your auntie?"
"She said she was the one in the photo," Amanda answered in a lower voice.
Auntie couldn't hear them because they were sitting quite far away.
After everyone ate, Lara rested, laid a mat on the grass, and took the travel pillows from the car.
"Hey, Babe Jason, turn down the volume on your cellphone; you're really going crazy with your Mobile Legend," said Lara.
Lara's mat was also big; it fit four people. Mike, Kitty, and her boyfriend Jason laid down there. Auntie Shaira was also given a small mat, and she was the only one with it. James and Amanda also had their own mat to lay on that only fit the two of them.
Jason was awake because he was still playing Mobile Legend and his colleagues had all gone to take a nap. After one hour, Jason took a break from playing, and he noticed that Amanda got up with her eyes closed and also went back to lying down. Jason couldn't sleep anymore and was just waiting for his colleagues to wake up. He went to the table, took food, and sat on a small chair. While he ate, he looked around and noticed that Auntie Shaira got up and went back to lying down.
"They are the same as Amanda," he said to himself while eating.
After a while, his colleagues got up.
"Hayss, here you are eating again," said Lara.
"Did you sleep, babe?" Lara asked.
"I didn't, just watch over you all while you were sleeping."
"Wow, how hard you work to be a guard!" Jason smiled.
"Take your snacks first, guys, and then Mike and I will have the activity, and it's a game, and we will give prizes," said James.
"Wow, both are rich! Thanks for sharing your blessing," Kitty said elatedly.
"Boss gave us a tip last Monday because James and I were fighting over repairing a defective computer," Mike said.
At 4 o'clock in the afternoon, they started to play. Everyone enjoyed it, and Auntie Shaira was very happy, as if she had returned to her childhood when she was receiving the prizes. The sun was about to set, and soon it would be dusk. While they were enjoying themselves, Amanda saw something: a woman with long hair and only one eye visible. It was a ghost inside the car, staring at her.
"Amanda, oh friend! Go participate; why are you just being inactive?"
"Are you okay?" asked Lara.
"Ah, I'm sorry!" Amanda was restless; she was shaking at what she saw. She thought the ghosts would no longer bother her or appear to her. Amanda can't focus on playing.
"Did you guys enjoy it?" asked James. Everyone agreed.
They decided to go home, and Amanda was the last to get into the car. When she got into the car, she noticed a woman in white passing behind the car, and she suddenly turned around.
"Amanda,  are you okay?"
"Ah yes, I'm ok."
Amanda sat down immediately.
