THE ALTERED PERSONALITY AND THE PRESENCE OF AMNESIA "Miss Amanda, your auntie can go home; her laboratory results are okay. If your aunt has changed her behavior, please understand." "I am prescribing medicine for her. Please ensure that your auntie takes the prescribed medication so that she can heal as quickly as possible." "Okay, doctor, thank you." She brought her aunt home, and she was looking strong, looked normal, and spoke well. "Dear, thank you for taking care of me; I didn't know I had an accident." "Nothing, Mommy Shaira." "Because you helped me, I will cook you something delicious." "I want that, mommy, but can you do it?" "Dear, I'm fine." "There's no need to worry!" She was really cautious with everything she said and her responses. "Is it okay if I go upstairs for a while?" I'll just finish what the boss asked me to do." "Alright dear!" She went upstairs and laid down on her bed. "I am quite exhausted and would like to relax for fifteen minutes before beginning my work." She called Kitty, her best friend and childhood neighbor. "Hello Kit!" "Oh, hi Amanda!" "How are you there?" "This is stressing me." "I have something to tell you." "What's that?" "It turns out that Auntie has amnesia, so her illness is very difficult because she has a medical history with dissociative amnesia and it is difficult for her to remember important information about herself, her personal history, or her family and friends." "How is she?" Did her memories come back?" "It's not yet!" "So, would you like to live with her for an extended period of time so that your aunt Shaira can get better and get back to normal?"
"I am currently observing Aunt Shaira; if her memory restores and she is good, I will return to our town." "You are definitely having difficulties there, and it's interfering with your work." "I want to go back home, but it's my responsibility because I'm the only relative she knew." "Alright, we'll visit you from time to time." "I miss Mommy Kayla and the house." "Everything will be okay, Amanda, though it takes time and requires patience." "You can do that, okay?" "Thank you, Kitty; oh well, I'm going to work so I can finish my tasks." "Alright, bye, Amanda!" Amanda started to work and finished other tasks. After thirty minutes, her aunt knocked. "Dear, we're about to eat!" "Alright, mommy, I'll follow you." "It looks like she cooked deliciously; I can smell it in the room." "Hey, come on!" "Hi Mommy Shaira, the aroma of the cooked food is wonderful." "Of course, that's my specialty." "Hmmm, delicious!" "It's okay, mommy! You are good at cooking. "Were you chief before?" She commended her auntie and tried to get information so that she might remember something. "Hmm... All I remember is that I used to cook at a restaurant." "Ah, okay, mommy! Do you want me to cook for you later? Because you are cooking for me now, I will cook for you later." "Oh! " "Are you good at cooking?" "Of course! "Of course I'm your mommy," she said happily. "Oh, hey, we're going to eat, and there should be no talking in front of food. Let's respect and enjoy the food," she added. Amanda had observed a change in her aunt's attitude. She finished her breakfast and put down her aunt's freshly poured coffee. She cleaned the kitchen after they finished their meals before heading upstairs. She felt dizzy and went to get into the room; she took the medication and went to bed because she was uncomfortable. After two hours, she awoke thirsty and walked down to the kitchen to drink water, and she knocked on her aunt's door to see whether her aunt had taken the medicine, but nothing answered and the door was closed. "Haysss, what can I do?" she sighed. When she was about to open the door to leave the house to find her aunt, it didn't want to open. By the way, it is locked. "Oh, well, she must have forgotten that I was here at her house." She thought of entering a door that had not been locked; it was the room where the household cleaning equipment was kept. She looked inside the room; it was very dusty, and there was a lot of dust in the closet. She saw a window and opened it. When she opened it, she could see the back of their house, and it was the forest. Suddenly the door opened slowly, and she turned around, and it closed suddenly. Amanda was startled and approached the door. "Haysss, ghosts, you are now teasing me," said Amanda as she walked out the door. She heard the sound of shoes going up the stairs. She went up and followed the sound of it to the room she was going to. A door opened as she was about to get in, but it suddenly shut down on its own. Her nervousness was at its highest level. "You know me, okay!" "What do you want?" "Dear, what's going on with you, and who are you talking to?" Auntie Shaira suddenly spoke. Amanda looked down and went down the stairs. "Mommy Shaira, where have you been?" "I was just there in my garden." "Because I've been looking for you for a while, and the door is locked." "Did I lock my dear? I'm sorry! I don't know!" "Okay, mommy, it's fine!" "Why are you looking for me?" "I just want to know if you have taken the medicine yet." "Ah yes, no need to worry dear." "I feel okay now!" "I'm just making sure, Mommy Shaira." "Okay, okay!" She just smiled and went into the room. "Little one, little one, sleep now Your mother is not here, She went to buy some bread. "Little one, little one," Her auntie sang as if she were putting a child to sleep. She wanted to peek, but she couldn't really peek or even enter her aunt's room.
