Amanda slept soundly because she stayed up late last night. "Amanda! Amanda!" Her auntie knocked at the door. "Yes, Auntie?" She abruptly awoke. Amanda opened it and told her to go downstairs to eat breakfast, so Amanda left the room and followed her aunt going downstairs. She noticed that her aunt was cheerful and told her that she was leaving early.
"I'm making you some mouthwatering meals, dear; eat well and don't be shy; feel at home." After they ate, her auntie left. She wanted to see her aunt's room, but she didn't know how to open it because her aunt had locked it. She was thinking about going for a stroll outside of the house where she was living. She looked at the backyard of the house and saw that there were no more neighbors behind it. When she arrived in the jungle, she discovered a tent with numerous toys both inside and outside. It is not far from her aunt's house. She entered the tent and saw a paper with a mom and dad drawn on it, and there was a little girl and a tall girl. Amanda thought about what really happened here in this place and who lived here before; this was what she should know. The place was very quiet, and the tent has been put up here for quite a long time because the toys, teddy bears, and cooking utensils were old and broken. When she stood up, she heard the cradle swing, and when she turned around, she saw it in front of her and not from afar, and it suddenly stopped. A strong gust of wind hit the trees, and the dead leaves were falling, but it stopped in seconds.
Amanda was trembling because she was unable to put into words how she felt, but she must rely on herself to get the truth. All of her questions must have answers. .
The girl screamed in the forest, but Amanda didn't know where it came from. She turned and looked for it. She heard it three times. She walked and looked for the girl who cried; she heard screams, and it sounded like the girl was scared. Amanda continued to search for the girl in the forest because the area was surrounded by a vast forest. Amanda didn't know how to get home; she was a little far from the tent, and she didn't see the girl. The girl screamed for what she was looking for, and she couldn't count the screams. She saw a cliff, and she approached it. She saw a man's body, and it was just a skull and bones, still wearing a red dress and jeans, and it was torn. She stepped back and sat down. She looked around and was very scared as to why it was here, thinking that it might have fallen into a cliff or been thrown away. She stood up, thinking that she needed to go back to her aunt's house. Amanda was nervous because she could no longer see the way to her aunt's house and she could not see the tent. She felt that she was lost. She stopped and prayed, and then she walked, always mentioning the name of the Lord. "In Jesus' name," she said, while walking and scared that she might not be able to come back and that it was already noon. She sat on a big rock and did a breathing exercise. She listened to the wind blowing and the movement of the trees and their leaves. She rested for about fifteen minutes and heard a child laughing. She stood up when she heard it. She followed the voice of a little girl when it laughed, but what she did not expect was to reach the cradle and see the tent. The child's voice was laughing; she felt like she was in the cradle; she thought that this child was a spirit, and now she was in the cradle swinging. The cradle moved violently. Before she left, Amanda prayed. "Grant eternal rest unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them." May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. Suddenly the swing stopped, and she walked away and went home to her aunt's house. "Amanda, where have you been?" "I have been looking for you for four hours now." "You're not asking permission from me! Next time, ask for permission!" Her aunt said angrily that she was sitting on the balcony. "I'm sorry, Auntie; I just took a walk outside." "Well, I haven't been able to exercise for a while," she apologized to her aunt, who looked believable. "Ah, Auntie, I'm going up first!" "I'm just going to finish my work." "Don't do that again." "Yes, Auntie." Amanda felt uneasy about what happened to her today. She asked herself a lot of questions about who Auntie Shaira was and who she used to be with. She wondered why, before Mommy Kayla's death, the address was put in and what to look for. Amanda was annoyed because she had so many questions for which she still couldn't find an answer, but the only ones she heard were the unsettled souls surrounding her. Amanda lay down and closed her eyes until she fell asleep. Amanda heard the child's cry; she ran into the forest, and suddenly a man appeared to chase her. She ran fast until she fell into the cliff, and suddenly she got up immediately. "Hays, I was scared." "I thought it was real, but just a mere nightmare." She took the cellphone from the table and checked to see if there was a message. She remembered that she had no internet, and because of that, she had missed calls from James. She took stocks of food from her drawer. She was too lazy to go down, and her auntie knocked. "Dear, you eat, and I prepared something for the table." "Auntie, I've already eaten; you go first!" "I'm busy at work right now," she answered inside the room without opening the door. Even though she didn't work today because there was no internet, she just made an alibi because she was annoyed with the situation. "Okay, dear, don't starve yourself!" "There is food there in the fridge, and you must eat when you get hungry.” "Okay, auntie."
