Chapter 33 Until We Reunite

[Third Point of view]
“And then…” he said, “I pretended to be completely sedated, then slowly dragged my feet. When the chaos occurred I ran away from there. Tossed about in the ocean."
“I am still shrouded in fear. If only those people found me again, I would die at their hands. That's why I stole ended up in prison." he ends his story. Pifu had told everything he knew to these two policemen in front of him, Izen and Rudal.
“Kiau was found by an oil ship that was passing by. He was rushed to the hospital and declared in a coma. After realizing that Kiau had no memory loss.” Rudal connects Pifu's story with the events experienced by Kiau.
Izen stroked his chin, "Is that chip still embedded in your body?"
Pifu nodded in response to Izen's question, “No matter where I go, they will still find me. That's why I think being surrounded by police and being locked up in prison is the safest option."
"You know that place, don't you?" Izen changed the subject. Pifu nodded in agreement.
Pifu and Rudal looked at each other in doubt. “Don't tell me…” Rudal guessed.
Izen nodded excitedly.
Kiau has returned to the present. His thoughts were already on his body which was full of wounds from Niem's actions. His whole body was covered in bandages.
“Welcome back,” Niem congratulated Kiau and threw pieces of bandage over Kiau, as if it was a party competition. "Now your memories and Irung's memories are complete right?" Kiau didn't answer anything, didn't even give any reaction.
“Now…” Niem approached, “You have to see this.” Niem slashed his palm with the same knife he used to slash Kiau's skin. Then Niem put his bloody hand over Kiau's mouth and nose.
"Goodbye~" he said bringing Kiau back to his senses. And again tossed around in someone's memory, Niem’s memory.
Kiau saw everything. Everything that happened to Taringa and Anya that he left behind. They experienced the same thing as what happened to Irung. Be the second generation.
"You saw it?" Niem crouched in front of the still bowed Kiau.
Kiau looked into Niem's eyes, "You guys killed them." and turned to Tieden who was still locked in the next room which was only limited by glass. But Tieden could hear everything, all of Kiau and Niem's talk clearly.
“Looks like your abilities have improved. You no longer only see the memory that you have in it.” Niem concluded, “And let me be clear. We didn't kill him." Niem stood up, "You left them, Kiau. And mess everything up. Our plan to achieve our goal."
Niem walked away, “Your plan is to sacrifice all. But instead you forget everything and make it all in vain."
“We also have abilities like you. Me and Tieden.” Niem turned his head towards Tieden, “We are the second generation. Tieden replaced Taringa and I replaced Anya.” Niem clarified. "And we didn't have any negative side effects, none at all."
“I can see everything, in the dark and without anything to limit my vision. But I can still close my eyes and sleep comfortably.” Niem closed his eyes, “Tieden can hear everything, from far away or sounds with a frequency that ordinary human ears can't hear. But it didn't hurt his ears. No buzzing or pain felt.”
Niem smiled proudly, “Second generation great success! One step closer to our original goal.”
Kiau didn't really listen to Niem's words, he saw Taringa and Anya in Niem's memory, but “Pifu…” Kiau mumbled, he remembered it. He meets Pifu in the same prison cell.
"Oh he is. He ran away..." Niem said. "But it's not that hard to find." he chuckled. "We'll take care of it, don't worry."
“Where is Rurimi?” Kiau looked up at Niem.
"Eh? Don't you care about all of them?" Niem stared with a mocking gaze. "You will meet him. We will all meet again.”
"That can't be happening..." Kiau said in a small voice.
"What?" Niem didn't hear it clearly, he brought his face closer to Kiau.
Kiau kicked Niem and made Niem hurt and sit up. Niem shouted while holding his aching leg while cursing Kiau in annoyance. Luckily Niem only tied Kiau's hands, he didn't tie Kiau's feet. Kiau took advantage of this.
Kiau used his feet to splash the pool of blood on the floor towards Niem's face. The spark hit his eye. Niem felt a stinging pain in his eyes.
"KIAU!! YOU...!!" Niem was furious.
Kiau already felt that the bonds in his hands were not as strong as before. Looks like Niem untied it while bandaging his injured hands. But he tied back in a hurry because he couldn't predict how long it would take Kiau to be unconscious while wading through memories.
Tieden who saw that next to the room couldn't do anything. The glass that limits them is not ordinary glass that can be broken easily. Meanwhile Niem was still in pain. Kiau took the opportunity to escape. He exited the room, leaving Niem trying to reach Kiau.
Kiau experienced the same thing again. He had to get out of what was like a maze. But this time he didn't get Anya's sight help. He could see nothing but white walls and passages.
But this time something was different. There was a familiar scent coming from the halls. But the fragrance was too thin and almost gone. He used to come across this scent often. Kiau followed the scent while trying to remember it.
Kia remembers it. That strange smell was the scent of Niem candy. Niem and Tieden brought him into the room with the ability to see Niem. And Niem always chewed on the candy with that strange smell in his mouth, which he used to test Irung's olfactory ability. Even though Irung is no longer around, Niem still does. For the first time, Kiau felt grateful to smell that strange scent.
Kiau finally reached the exit. He saw the same ocean as before. But there is something different, there is a speed boat. The speed boat seems to have been used by Tieden and Niem to bring it to this island. Kiau hopped on him and drove him away from the deserted island.
"Tieden~" Niem unlocked Tieden's room, "Kiau escaped... and used the only speed boat we have... how do we get out of this island..." Niem walked limply towards Tieden. He walked still with his eyes closed.
Tieden approached, "Let's clean this first, if it irritates and affects your abilities, it will be very dangerous." Tieden noticed Niem's eyes. Niem nodded his head in agreement with an annoyed and sullen face.
