CHAPTER 24

As the morning comes, the sound of dripping water echoed in the small, dimly lit room where Detective Lee was being held captive. His hands were tied behind his back, and his ankles were bound together with thick ropes. He tried to struggle, but it was no use. He was trapped, helpless, and at the mercy of his captors.
As Octavius enter the room, Octavius was torn. He couldn't bring himself to harm his own twin brother and same the blood, but he also couldn't refuse Mr. Johnson's orders.
As the time ticked by, Octavius struggled with his conscience. He knew that he had to do something to save his Lee, but he also knew that it would come at a great cost. Mr. Johnson ordered Octavius to definitely kill Detective Lee and Mr. Johnson give Octavius 5 days to settle everything.
Mr. Johnson was not someone who took kindly to disobedience, and the consequences of his actions could be fatal.
As Octavius stepped into the dimly lit room, the sound of a chair scraping against the floor caught his attention. He turned to see Detective Lee tied up to a chair, glaring at him with a fierce intensity.
Octavius approached him slowly, his hand on the hilt of his dagger, ready to strike at any moment. But as he got closer, he noticed something odd about Lee's expression. It wasn't fear or panic, but rather a deep curiosity.
"Why did you do it, Octavius?" Lee asked, his voice hoarse from hours of yelling. "Why did you need to kill me?"
Octavius paused, caught off guard by the detective's question. He had expected to be met with fear and pleading, not a calm inquiry.
"It wasn't my choice," Octavius replied, his eyes flickering to the shadowy figure in the corner of the room.
Octavius stepped forward, his face obscured by the darkness. "It was an order. I had to do it. If I didn't, they would have killed me."
Lee nodded slowly, understanding the difficult position Octavius had been put in. "And what about me?" he asked "You have me, you still have me Octavius. Let's put this ends together."
Octavius hesitated, unsure of what to say. He had been so focused on carrying out the order that he hadn't thought about what would happen afterwards.
Octavius was a man of action. He'd been trained from a young age to be a killing machine, to take out anyone who got in Mr. Johnson's way and in able to live.
He was good at his job and he was feared by many. But when he received his latest assignment, something didn't feel right. He was ordered to kill Detective Lee, and Octavius realized that he still had Lee.
Mr. Johnson had only ordered him to kill Detective Lee because he is the person who could expose their illegal operations. Octavius had been a loyal member of the organization for years, but he couldn't bring himself to pull the trigger on Lee.
"I'm sorry, Detective Lee," Octavius said, his voice shaking. "I have to do this."
Detective Lee looked up at Octavius
Detective Lee smiled as Octavius realized what had just happened. "You see, Octavius, I'm not just any detective. I'm your twin brother."
To Octavius surprise, Detective Lee didn't seem angry or upset. Instead, he looked at Octavius with a knowing expression.
"I had a feeling something like this might happen," Detective Lee said. "That's why I came prepared."
Octavius felt a wave of guilt wash over him as he realized the full extent of his actions. "I don't know what to do," he said. "I'm so sorry."
Detective Lee smiled at his brother. "It's okay. You're not the only one who has made mistakes. We all have secrets and things we're not proud of. But it's never too late to make things right."
Octavius come in front of Detective Lee, tears streaming down his face as he finally came to terms with everything that had happened.
"You're making a mistake, Octavius. Killing me won't solve anything. So let's end this together, I don't want to lose you." Detective Lee said
The gun slipped from his hand as Octavius fell to his knees and tears continually to fall.
"I thought I wanted revenge and all I need to care and protect is myself, but now I'm not so sure. Maybe it was all a mistake." Octavius said
As Octavius cutting the ropes that tide up to Lee
Lee smiled and patted Octavius on the back. "It's okay, Octavius. We're all human. We all have flaws. But it's how we deal with them that matters. And I think we can deal with this together."
Octavius wiped his tears and stood up. "You're right, Lee. Let's end this feud and start fresh. Let's work together and make a difference. Let's fight Mr Johnson together."
