8 PM... At Junghwa's house... "So we will start this Saturday?" Junghwa asks Zach through the phone. "Yeah, work starts at 9 AM," Zach says. "Ok, I'll be there before 9," Junghwa says. "Thanks, Man." "Hey, it's nothing," Zach says. "We were lucky that my uncle actually trust us enough to wash the cars." Junghwa chuckles. After some times of struggling to find a part time job during the weekends to save up for college, Zach eventually got both of them jobs at his uncle's new car wash. "I owe you big time, Man," Junghwa states. "These days finding a part time job that actually pays well while trying to balance the stress of homeworks could be a challenge." "Well, we have to thank my uncle later," Zach says. "Anyway, I'm gonna go shower now. Bye, Jay." "Yeah, bye, Zach," Junghwa says before hanging up. After ending his phone call with Zach, Junghwa puts his phone on his study desk, just beside his science homework. Yet, by a small glance he had with the homework on his desk, a familiar girl came crossing inside his mind all of a sudden. He didn't really plan to think of her, and more likely because she had been coming across his mind quite a few times today, ever since last night. As he remembered, that girl hates science more than he hates the hangover effect after getting drunk. Somehow, he felt some sort of weird feelings after he suddenly kissed her last night, in which he had told Peter about earlier. Flashback... At the cafeteria... "So why did you kiss her all of a sudden?" Peter asks before he takes a bite of his cheese burger. "I don't know," Junghwa says. "It was out of plan." "Did you realize something in her you didn't realize before?" Peter asks. Hearing that, Junghwa became silent for a moment as he replays the flashback of his kiss with Ara. At the time, he didn't know what got him so impulsive to kiss her, which only got her furious in the end. He regretted his decision, yet again when he remembers the spark he felt when their lips touched, a quarter part of his heart didn't fully regret the mistake he did. "No," Junghwa says. "It was an impulsive desire." "Well, maybe you'll eventually realize something else," Peter says. "And what is that?" Junghwa asks before taking a bite of his gimbab. Peter smiles. "A realization of something new that's deeper than what's in surface." End of flashback... Remembering Peter's words, till now Junghwa still didn't quite get what the guy really meant. Yet, he knew from Peter's face that he was trying to tell him something that's hard to explain with words, but can only be understood through experience from the heart. He figured that he would only understand Peter's words after he truly experience them. For now, he though since he still hasn't get the meaning of Peter's words, he would only want to be impulsive again, but this time is to lighten to guilt in his heart. He noticed how Ara had been avoiding him the whole day, which he assumed she's still mad about the kiss. With his impulsive side again starting to heat up tonight, he thought about paying her a visit tonight, of course, with the intention to fix the crack in their friendship. 8:45 PM... At Ara's house... "Now you better forget that jerk and get some shut eyes," Ara says in a rather sassy tone through the phone. "Haha, of course, Lex. Again, thanks for tonight. It was fun," Grace says through the phone. She's feeling a lot better after a funny date over pizza with Ara. "Hey, don't mention it. Now, I'm gonna go brush my teeth," Ara says. "Ok. Bye, Lex," Grace says. "Bye, Grace," Ara says before ending the call and putting her phone on her study desk. Ara walks over to the bathroom and starts brushing her teeth. She had just finished her shower just when Grace decided to call her, where the two girls got into a few minutes conversation regarding today. Even after hours of talking while doing their homeworks and having pizza, the two girls still felt as if time flew too fast for the two of them. Ara gave Grace some comforting tips on how to move on from a man who broke her heart, much to Grace's confusion of when did Ara even have any experience of heartbreaks. Ara, however, didn't tell Grace that her experience actually came from trying to move on from Junghwa. Instead, Ara only assured Grace that she will move on from Peter. After she finished brushing her teeth, Ara walks out of the bathroom. Yet, she almost jump out of shock when she sees an unexpected person sitting on the edge of her bed. Calming herself down after the shock, she wanted to scream at his face for appearing in her room without her permission, not even bothering to knock at her door since he entered from her window. "Junghwa, what are you doing here?" Ara asks as she stares at the guy sitting on her bed. "I thought I visit you before bed time," Junghwa says in a low tone. His gaze only staring at the ground, not having the courage to shift his vision to Ara. "What did I tell you about entering from the window? Damn it, Junghwa," Ara says with a rather frustrated tone. Till now she still doesn't understand why both Junghwa and Zach have a thing for entering through the window, when she had states a few times that she didn't like them doing that and prefer them to enter from the front door. Hearing the upset tone in Ara's voice, Junghwa slowly shifts his gaze to look at the disappointed girl. Standing in front of the bathroom door, wearing her yellow pajama set with teddy bear patterns, with her arms crossed as her vision looks at him with disappointment. The guilt in his heart starts to feel heavier at the sight of her looking upset with him. The heavy weight of guilt in his heart, Junghwa gets up from the edge of the bed and walks over to Ara. He stood in front of her, now noticing that she had shift her vision to the ground. He realized that his attempt to formally apologize to her just failed since he only made the tention between them worse. Yet, standing in front of the girl whom he owes an apology to, he isn't gonna give up before doing what he needed to do, and that is give her the proper apology. "I'm sorry about what happened last night," Junghwa says. Hearing that, Ara didn't say a word and just stood in silence. While in the process of trying to forget about what he did last night, he had came up to her with an apology that only reminded her of the moment she's struggling to forget. Her heart begins to feel numb as the pain no longer feels like something new, having to get used to deal with the pain of trying to forget him for months. "Let's not talk about it anymore," Ara says. "I already forgot that it ever happened." To be continue...
