Chapter 37 Meeting Phidelia

The school bells were chiming loudly –welcoming the students back to school or better still announcing the early morning prep studies; given the time that Isla and Phidel, now Phidelia walked through the school gates.
It saw all races of kids rushing into all angles of the school besides them; with everyone heading to their assigned classroom or destination.
Phidel almost gasped at the huge building before her eyes, quite mesmerized as she lurked around; paying particular attention to every detail.
She didn't even realize when she came to a halt. “Hey,” Isla’s voice rasped her eyes, bringing her back to reality. “Are you coming? We have to hurry.” Isla muttered in one breath as she huddled through the corridors.
“Yeah..” Phidel slowly muttered, taking a glance at the building for the last time as she let out a deep breath before sauntering into the corridors after Isla. She knew she had to go to the Principal’s office to be reintroduced to the class once again but then, there was this strong aura she felt around her which was usual.
It felt as though she was being watched or followed– and she was literary starting to feel uncomfortable. “Isla,” She instinctively called out to her cousin who was a few steps ahead of her–making her turn deftly at her. “I think you should go first. I need to visit the washroom.” She added in one take.
Isla’s brows spontaneously furrowed, quite puzzled. But then, she had no time to spare as she had to get to her class in the next 5mins before Mrs. Blue, their prep madam and her homeroom teacher gets there.
“Okay, okay.” She hastily muttered, involuntarily closing her eyes she slightly waved a hand. “The Principal ’s office is at the far end of this hallway.” She added, pointing to the given direction. “You can go over when you're done. Mum already called him so you don't need to say much.” She hinted and scampered off.
The few students who sauntered past Phidel at that moment – gave her the surprised and knowing look, coupled with little murmurs but she was just not in for them.
She swiftly lurked around, wondering where the washroom could be but then sped off, guessing while she took the next corner linking to the other hallway– besides, the interior structure displacement looked just like her formal school.
Just as right as her auction was, she made it to the washroom. The hallways were by now literally empty with fewer or no students at all. Without hesitation, Phidel scampered into the washroom– closing the door behind her. She was far from surprised when she walked in to find it empty.
Nearing the sink, she dropped her bag on it– staring at her reflection for a while as she let out a deep sigh.
She was neither worried nor scared but then this strong aura– coupled with a nagging feeling made her so uncomfortable that; she felt weirdly sick. Barely making out what could be wrong with her.
Phidel slightly shook her head– involuntarily closing her eyes as she tried to brace herself with a renewed strength. Besides, she needed it more than anything now.
Bating her eyes opened, she hunched over for the tap– turning it open as she washed off the undue feeling from her face. Lifting her gaze back to the mirror, she noticed a familiar figure standing behind her.
“Phidelia–” She hastily muttered, swiftly turning on her feet as she allowed her gaze to travel to her sister. “Phidelia, you...” She went on, darting over to her sister as she reached for her hand but then her hand passed through hers.
She instinctively froze in her spot – slowly allowing her gaze to travel from their hands to her sister's face as a flush of shock swept across her face.
“Wh–what happened to you? ” She stuttered with a shaky voice as the cold freeze of anxiety rasped through her. “Your...” She mumbled but then, Phidelia ’s voice snapped in.
“I’m dead Phidel” She blurted, trying to hold back her emotions as much as she could while she watched her sister struggle with the piece of information.
“Tell me you're joking,” Phidel replied as unshed tears choked her throat. “Tell me this is just some kind of dream– that I will wake up and this will all be a mere nightmare.” She shouted, finally allowing those tears to freely trek down her cheeks.
Phidelia on the other hand was no different from her sister. Her face was by now soaked with tears as she watched her sister throw a tantrum.
“I wish this could also be a dream but it's not.” She barked, choking on her tears. “It’s also not easy for me Phidel. Those heartless bitches killed me and I could barely do anything. I pleaded and pleaded with them to save me but they didn't. They could have sent me to the infirmary when I went unconscious but they rather left me here to die. They were cowards! –cruel cowards.” She affirmed, her voice fading away as tears engulfed her.
Phidel at that moment wished she could hold onto her sister to console her– to assure her she was going to give her the justice she deserve but then she couldn't. She had turned into a mere spirit she could barely reach.
This made Phidel palpitate with anger as rage welled up within her.
She instinctively sniffed back her tear, drying the tears from her eyes as her face contorted with rage.
“Who are they?” She inquired, her chest rising and falling with so much hatred. “Who did this to you? I’m going to pay them back with their coins.” She hinted.
“You don't have to do anything Phidel.” Phidelia chipped in, trying to change her sister's mind on what she had come to do. “ I don't want you wasting your future for this.” She added, drawing closer to her sister as she sniffed back her tears. “You should leave your own life to the fullest without any guilt. I hold no grudges against you nor Mum and Dad. All I want now is for you guys to be happy.” She affirmed, staring expectantly at Phidel.
“No Phidelia, ” Phidel retorted– not ready to step down with what she had come to do. “I came here for this and I'm going to fight to the end. Even the school is quiet on it. Tsk, this is driving me crazy just thinking about it.” She sneered.
Looking at how Phidel was reacting, Phidelia knew she wasn't going to give in so easily –so she decided to let her in with the names of those that did that to her. Just when she was about to spell out the names, she felt someone approaching. Instinctively, she disappeared.
At that instant, the door swung open.
