Chapter 51 Whom To Trust
It was around 4 pm when the cab pulled over in front of the gates of WESLEY HIGH. Just on gliding out of the car, the sound of the bell rang through every corner of the school– announcing the end of classes for the day.
Phildel briefly cast the driver a gaze then sauntered off into the school while the cab sped off. As things were, the former had barely spent about 2hours in the school. Scampering into the hallway, she navigated her way towards her class while the others filed into the hallways in groups– with everyone headed towards their various paths. Leaving the entire school in such a rumpus.
Just when Phidel was about to curve into the classroom, Claire noticed her. Without hesitation, she dashed off to her.
“Hey, where’ve you been?” she questioned which had Phidel cast a glance at her before walking through the door.
Claire who wasn’t ready for Tina's trouble lurked into the class for any sign of her before following after the former who in other words, wasn't giving her an audience. “Come on Phidelia, we’ve all been worried about you,” she added as her friend came to a halt in front of her desk. “Especially Rowan.” she went on, watching from behind while Phidel packed her things into her bag.
Being done with her packing, she threw the bag over her shoulder and without a word~ stepped past Claire; taking the lead. The latter instinctively clicked her tongue and hurried after.
“Why are you being like this?” Claire inquired with knitted brows– being a bit frustrated by the entire event. She had not for once seen this part of Phidelia and experiencing it now was kind of disturbing.
Phidel was about to walk out of the class with Claire tailing after when she noticed Phidelia at the entrance. Intuitively, she came to a halt for some seconds~ staring at her sister. Without a word, she walked on– playing the pretense to avoid any weird gazes and suspicions, especially from Claire.
“Wait Phidel,” Phidelia called as she went after her twin– knowing well she wouldn't be able to step out of the school’s premises if Phidel leaves her behind. It was like she was the only one who could break the boundary that blocks her from escaping the four corners of the school walls.
“Can you stop and talk to me for once?” Claire blunted, pulling Phidel to an abrupt halt. At that moment, Phidelia stumbled, bumping into her sister in the process. Like the flash of lightning, the latter’s spirit took possession of her sister someway somehow.
She didn't realize what had happened until she opened her eyes. “What’s going on?” the words played in her head as she deftly turned– glancing over herself.
Claire, on the other hand, noticed the former’s body jerked forward a bit as if being hit by something then her demeanor changed instantly.
“Hey, are you okay?” she asked with a skeptical gaze as she held Phidel by the shoulder~ not sure what was wrong. “Are you feeling sick? Do you feel dizzy?” she asked in one breathe.
Phidelia instinctively stared at her friend– lost on words. She didn't understand what was going on either. It was the first time something like that was ever happening to her and it was not like she could just say it to anybody~ neither could she just come out of her sister in Claire’s presence.
Judging from the situation, she needed an escape– an excuse to free herself from Claire. Pulling herself together, a thought crept up.
“I’m sorry I got you guys worried,” she said, taking up Phidel’s hostile character. “I’ll get going then.” she quickly added and dashed off.
“Hey, but...” Claire tilted her head in confusion but Phidelia was already gone before she could even end her statement. “wow~ she is so weird.” she grumbled, clicking her tongue in the process.
At that moment, her ride pulled up. “Claire,” her mother waved at her with a smile plastered on her lips. A witty smile instinctively swept across the former’s face on noticing her and dashed off.

Finding her way out of the school’s premises, Phidelia came to a stop at an alleyway that was kind of deserted with fewer or nobody passing by. When she was sure she was alone, she zapped out of her sister.
Phidel flinched– being conscious of herself while she deftly looked around.
“What happened? Why are we here?” she inquired with furrowed brows but before Phidelia could say anything~ Phidel’s phone rang. Their gazes instinctively traveled to the small pocket side of the bag where Phidel had kept the phone.
Casting a skeptical glare at Phidelia, the latter reached for the phone. Pulling it out, she glanced at the screen and it was a call from Jade. Her brows instinctively furrowed as it was so usual of him. Without hesitation, she answered.
“Hey, did you just get caught?” the latter’s voice rapted her ear from the other side of the phone the moment she answered. For once, Phidel didn't understand what he was talking about. Though his tone was causal– it had some alertness in it. But before she could ask any questions, Jade’s voice invaded once again.
“I don't know what you did in school today but I think you should come home now,” he continued with some sense of urgency. “By the way, try checking your phone regularly. Isla has been calling for a thousand times now,” he added then laid down the call.
Phidel intuitively clicked her tongue the moment Jade hung up without giving her any clues. She glanced at the screen once as she drew it from her ear and true to Jade’s words, Isla had called her so many times.
“Why are they throwing so much fuss?” she grumbled, returning the phone where she took it from.
“Why? What happened?” Phidelia asked the moment Phidel’s gaze fell on her. She was looking so hung up in many ways.
“Wait,” Phidel uttered on a sudden impulse– quite alarmed. “Did the authorities find me out? sh*t,” she hastily muttered and dashed off. Without waiting for another second, Phidelia rushed after her.

Rowan had earlier on darted out of class to find Phidel but then be met no sign of her. It was at that moment that the bell went off. Fortunately, he came across Isla who was about to leave.
Without warning, he scampered over to her and lead her off by the hand.Download Novelah App
