Isabella P.O.V Last night was horrible. It kept raining all night. Rain wasn't usually my thing, I hated the weather when ever it rains and I couldn't sleep all night, the storms we're scary, it reminded me of her. Last night I couldn’t take Lara off my mind, and I still couldn’t speak. I wondered what she did to me? I had no idea if I could speak again, I tried a couple of times but notting came out. I couldn't open my mouth.
The alarm reached my ears, signaling me to get ready for church. I didn’t want to miss it today, I can't make father angry again. I rose out of bed and quickly went into the bathroom. My bathroom was not large like Lara's but it was enough for one person, the walls were painted ash and the floors were also in ash, a small bathtub by the left that could fit only one person, a sink that was ten steps away from the bathtub, a cupboard that was by the sink that had my toiletries in it. I quickly took my bath and wore my clothes. I wore a green dress that reached my knee and a black scarf that covered my hair, a black shoe that matched my scarf. I applied some foundation to cover my scar, I didn't want father to see it. Once I finished my usual morning routine, I went downstairs, waiting for my parents to finish getting ready, so technically we don’t eat before prayers, we take a fast then break it after the prayers. The drive to church was quiet neither father or Mom said anything until we arrived at our destination. The nuns opened the doors for us. Dad was silent as usual while mom was arranging things before others could come so we could start. “Isabella, go get me candles,” mom said. I nodded. The candles were in the storeroom, which was really far. I walked through the hallway; silence lingered, except for my footsteps. I felt like someone was behind, someone was following, I heard a footstep every time I walked but I didn't hear any when I stopped walking. I looked behind a little bit but I couldn't see anyone or anything. I decided to ignore what I was hearing and just get the candles. “Stop,” a low voice said. I turned, but I saw no one. “We need to talk.” a low voice said again. My body shivered. My heart pounded like a drum in my chest, and my lungs rattled with each breath. Was I losing my mind? Suddenly, strange footsteps echoed, getting louder and closer. “Isabella, turn,” the voice spoke. When I did, I saw no one, but I saw Mother Theresa once I turned back. How that possible? She died a long time ago. “Don’t be scared.” She held my hand. “How can’t I be scared? You are dead." my inner voice said. “It was a dream.” “What? How do you know? If it was a dream then how did I get a scar?” I asked. “Lara controlled your dream. She formed and shaped someone to look like her, so she could harm you. The effect was too much that it left a scar on you.” “What? Who is Lara?, What is she actually?". Mother Theresa’s eyes widened. “Lara…Lara is not what she looks like. She’s…different.” "What do you mean by that? What does Lara want from me?" I asked mother Theresa. Mother There's was quite for a minute then she spoke. " Lara.. Lara is different, you need to stay away from her, she wants your destruction." A loud noise grabbed my attention. When I faced Mother Theresa again, she was gone. Where did she go? “Mother! Where are you?” I shouted until I stopped for a minute as I softly placed my hand on my throat. My voice was back, I could speak again. Meanwhile, at the FBI office: “Any information or evidence on the accident?” Captain Stabler asked. "No sir, the car was completely burnt so it hard to tell if the brakes were tampered with." Officer O'Conner said. "Okay, what did the autopsy say? Where they drunk while driving." Officer Stabler asked. “No, sir, they were not” Officer O’ Conner said. They’ve been on the case for two weeks, and with no evidence, apart from Lara’s book. “What do we do with this book? We still haven't been able to find the key, We have researched on the book but haven't found anything." Office O'Conner said while rubbing his temples. “Alright, We will talk about it tomorrow morning.” Officer Stabler said while keeping the book in his cabinet. “Ok, sir.” They locked the office to continue work tomorrow. Lara was in their office the whole time they were talking, staying out of sight. Though Lara was powerful, she needed her book, for he was the only one to help accomplish her mission. Once they were gone. Lara stepped out of her hiding, Lara was about to take her book when the lights went on. “Hey, you stop! I said stop!” O’Connor shouted. But Lara didn’t stop. Instead, she grabbed her book and sprinted, she headed towards the back door. “Stop!, I said stop before I shoot, stop running, I will shoot if you don't." Officer O’ Connor said while raiseing his gun, but Lara kept running. He followed her and grabbed her clothes, The gun was near her temples. He was about to touch her when he collapsed and fell on the hard floor. Lara looked at him, she had a smile that spread across her face and then she left.
