60: Thank You!
Red's POV
When they left the place, I continue observing the place where the explosion happened. I know that they're here because there's something that they left behind.
"Red," D's voice pulls me out in my reverie. I felt him move and stood beside me.
"What is it?" I ask without looking at him.
My mind is still messy. I couldn't just talk to him without my senses in the right place. There's a lot to think about right now.
I don't even know where to start again. It seems like I forgot all the plans that I planned before meeting my father after long years of being apart from each other.
I just want to feel that I'm still not alone in this lonely world. I wish my twin is with me and my mother is still alive watching me getting all my achievements.
But it's all about my empty wishes that could never happen because they are already in the other world. They left me.
"H-Hey!" I exclaim when I feel his hand grabbing my right hand as he runs towards the gate of the school.
"Where are you taking me?" I ask while running with him. my hair's being blown by the wind under the rays of sunlight as the leaves and birds accompany me.
I unconsciously smile seeing my hand intertwined with his. Despite having uncertainties, I'm glad that he's always there. he's always there to make me think that everything will go alright and put things into their right places.
"We're going to date," my feet halt as he also did because he's grabbing me by the hand.
"What?" I unbelievably ask him and stare at his side view.
He looks at me and his handsome face appears in front of my eyes. those brooding eyes of his didn't stop making me mesmerize.
"Don't worry, it'll be fun. Come on!" I let him drag me to somewhere because I couldn't speak.
For the first time for how many years of feeling like hell, I feel like this is a starting point for me to see things with positivity. That I still have things to look forward to.
And that is, waking up to see his beautiful face and voice that wakes me up from a nightmare. I secretly smile and hold his hand slightly tight.
He glances at me and I immediately put back my emotionless face but my eyes couldn't possibly hide from him that I'm a bit glad to be with him today.
He parks his car in a parking lot. I go out of the car and roam my eyes with the place we stopped at.
"Where are we?" I ask him when I feel his presence as his footstep rings in my ears.
His arms wrap around my shoulder and I look up at his face. He's smiling while looking in front of us and I am curious that's why I look at what's he's looking at with that kind of emotion plasters in his whole face.
"What are we doing here?" I am starting to get annoyed when he's still not answering my questions. I have been raining him questions but he kept himself silent through the ride.
I glance at the different rides in front of us. There's a Ferris wheel in the middle as booths on the sides.
"Let's go!" I roll my eyes and let him drag me in front of a booth. I see some guns and targets on fronts.
The owner said that if we hit all the targets with those mini bullets, he'll give us a prize.
I look at the prize and my eyebrow raise. A human-size bear. There are also small and medium sizes.
"Are you a kid?" I ask D. He just smiles and looks at the man in front of us.
"One round, Mr.," the man nods his head and I watch D assembling the gun as he aims it at the target-like mini-dolls lining up from the center of the place.
"Are-," I sigh and just watch. Asking him will just be a waste. I don't want to waste any more of my saliva asking him things that he's not even answering.
I cross my arms over my chest and watch closely at what's he's doing.
One-shot, bull's eye. Another shot and another until he shoots all of the targets. I want to laugh at the man's reaction.
His mouth hanging open as his eyes are bigger than a normal hole of a bullet.
I shake my head and look at D who's wearing a proud smile as his eyes shining. Puffing air, I glance in front and see the man getting the blue bear. It's the only one left and all of the prizes are all in small size.
"Here Sir. Congratulations!" Disappointed, he still gives us his bright smile.
Even if I didn't admit that I like the bear, my eyes betray me.
"Here, for you...," I didn't smile at him but I reach the bear from his hands. I hug it. I'm glad I'm not that small in height. The bear is just up to my neck.
His arm is back on my shoulder as he guides me to another booth stand.
We walk and walk until we're tired from watching all the people play and bonds with their family and friends.
"Let's eat first," we see a food stand nearby and we walk through it.
"Wait here. I'll order you food," I nod my head to him as I take a seat. I watch him walk and buy food from the stall.
I sigh and smile. I stretch my neck and stare at his back.
I didn't know how long I've been staring at him when I feel his hand on my back with a towel.
I open my eyes and glance at him at my back. I fell asleep. That's how tired I am.
"How long I've slept?" I ask him and glance at the table while he continues wiping my back. He puts another towel on my back as he walks back to his seat.
"An hour at least. Don't worry, it's still hot. Let's eat?" I nod my head and get the hamburger on the table as well as the drink.
While sipping on my drink, I look at him longer than I plan.
I smile and continue eating.
