Chapter 56 Unparalleled Darkness

The Five First Superiors of the Senzi Clan have reached a giant cave. It was in front of them, and as they remained standing, they could see giant glowing stones in the bottom of the cave. They could see that it was deep and dark. They continued to look around.
Behind them were destroyed houses a long time ago, and the ground they were stepping on was broken into pieces by destroyed rocks. There were also claw marks, and they were wondering why the cave was so massive.
The claw marks on the ground were giving them nightmares. When they walked for the past couple of hours to get where they are now, they could see the claw marks getting bigger, but this time they went back to their normal size when they reached the cave.
"Kuragari, you know going in there is suicide. We've seen the Capital lately, and those claw marks are so big that they split the whole Capital building in half. I wonder if that thing is inside here," McRan stated. He has a cigarette on the left side of his mouth. It was smoking, and his mask was hanging on the right side of his face.
There were small scars scattered on his face, and Kurina is having trouble seeing his face. Arthur was calm, and he was on the far right side of them, looking down at the cave, trying to see the bottom.
"We don't have a choice. We haven't fought anyone, and I don't see any dangerous things or sense any creatures lurking around. We should proceed and make it fast as long as things have not yet gone south," Kuragari stated as he stepped his right foot into the cave.
Suddenly, he stepped on something soft, which made him look down. A sweat dripped behind his mask when he saw he had stepped on an obsidian. Suddenly, Arthur came in flying from his right and grabbed him away. They both flew away as the others jumped backward.
All of a sudden, giant flames emerge from the underground, starting from the obsidian. Arthur immediately let go of Kuragari, sweating and shocked, as he glanced and saw orange flames covering the whole cave. The orange flames were bigger than them, and they were dancing towards them as if trying to reach them and burn them.
"The Flames... It's unparalleled," Kuragari thought as Arthur helped him stand when he got sat on the ground. He cleared his throat as Arthur glanced at him and realized the flames wouldn't go away soon. Suddenly, to their left in the forest, the birds started to scatter in the sky, and they saw the giant trees in the far distance moving.
"We need to leave! Now!" McRan said in a hurry as he drew his sword with his right hand. They all immediately hurried to their right, where they saw a small, broken house. They hid behind it as they took a look around, guarding each other, realizing things could go far south.
"Kuragari, did you get burned?" Arthur asked as he took a peek outside the broken house through a small hole in the wall. They were covered, and half of the whole roof is missing, and the ground they were stepping on was still solid wood.
"I'm fine. My apologies, I didn't realize it was obsidian; it blends well in the shade and in the rocks. I'm guessing that kind of obsidian has been there for a long time," Kuragari stated as he took a look around in the house and saw that there was a door on the floor in the distance on the other side of the house. He could see it, and he realized that the shade was hiding them very well.
"Arthur, McRan, take a look over there," Kuragari stated as he leaned his back on the wall and glanced at the door in the ground. The four of them glanced at where he was looking, and all of their eyes widened when they saw a door on the floor stating that there was a basement.
"I'll check it out. This should be a normal basement, nothing special," Kurina said as she crouching as she walks towards it. They all suddenly had doubts when she said those words. The rest of them became aware of another presence underneath them, making them dead serious. The other unknown swordswoman has vanished to their left.
Kuragari notices it, as do Arthur and McRan. They realized something was wrong and realized that's the reason why the unknown swordswoman vanished. She left to get to a safer place.
"We leave as soon as something goes wrong when she goes down there. McRan, I know you have a teleportation mark on her, teleport her out of here when she's on the brink of death. If something's down there, we need to see if we can take care of it," Kuragari stated as he saw McRan nod at him.
The unknown swordswoman was on top of the cave, looking down at the forest hiding in the side of a giant tree. On her right was another forest. Her name was Yanare Degakure. She was currently hiding in the shade of the giant tree, and she could see something moving in the forest and its strange presence.
On the other hand, where Kurina is She couldn't believe what she was currently seeing. There were a bunch of cages. It was like a dog cage, but a human was inside it. Her eyes were widened, and she was looking at the stuff of a nightmare.
It was a long hallway in an underground basement, and she could sense there were a bunch of floors further underground. Inside the cages, unknown swordsmen were horribly slaughtered. Some of them were left devoured, bleeding to death, and some of them have missing parts.
She could smell the horrible smell of the place, which almost threw her off. She didn't expect such things. She drew her sword with her right hand and began to walk towards the only presence she could feel in the basement. She ignored the horribly slaughtered swordsmen left and right inside the cages.
It was making her rage even more as she clutched her sword with her right hand. She wants to scream in anger and wants to break stuff. She got a glimpse of a small cage to her left. She sees a letter written on the ground with blood, telling her to leave before it's too late. She ignored the warning and continued straight into the darkness.
She got a glimpse of something moving in the distance inside a cage. That made her tighten the grip on her sword as she looked around to see if it was a trap or something. She continued until she reached the cage.
What she saw made her eyes widen even more in disbelief. Her tears started to drip down her cheeks as she kneeled down, seeing a swordsman in front of her barely breathing.
He looks like he hasn't eaten for over a month. She sees his left arm devoured, realizing that the unknown swordsman has been eating his left arm just to survive. She recognizes the swordsman's face, and she shakes her head left and right, trying to convince her that it wasn't him.
She dropped her sword to her side and was about to touch the cage bars with both of her hands when suddenly she saw words written on the ground. It said, Don't touch it or die." It sent shivers down her spine.
"R-run...!" The unknown swordsman said, trying to reach his right hand to her with a sword in his hand. His condition was unrecognizable, and she couldn't believe that he was still alive. His left eye was gone, his left leg was also gone; it was covered in cloth; it was tied up tightly to stop the bleeding, and his left lung was gone.
"You're... Kyoyurkona Gakure, right? What the hell are you doing here? You came back? You were called a legend because you survived here, just what? No, this wound has been there for a very long time. How are you even alive? And are you the Kyoyurkona Gakure walking in the surface? Taking a visit in every village?" Kurina asked as she saw him shake his head left and right. Suddenly, he showed a small energy ball to his left that was hiding behind him.
He showed it, and she sees that it's slowly fading. It then showed a heart inside that made her eyes widen. It was beating, and he hid it again behind him. She realized that was his heart.
"Kill that Kyoyurkona Gakure outside this place whatever it takes! It's an imposter! He's behind all of this. I may be the real Kyoyurkona Gakure, but don't underestimate that Dark Shape Shifting Swordsman, and please make it out here alive that he is the master mind behind all of this," Kyoyurkona Gakure stated as suddenly the energy ball that he showed faded away. Kyoyurkona Gakure became immobile and immediately died.
"No! Kyoyurkona! No... Kyoyurkona, you were my idol," she stated sadly as she grabbed her sword with her right hand again from the ground and stood. Before she turned around, she looked at his sword, which looks like it's getting handed over to her.
She made a sad face as she shook her head left and right once again, couldn't believe the legend that is her idol died in front of her, and saw him in a horrible state. She grabbed his sword from his hand, and suddenly she felt a sudden relaxation that made her feel fresh. She realized that his sword had accepted her.
She immediately turned around and ran towards the light in the distance, walking past a large number of cages. Suddenly, there was a sudden earthquake that made her trip to the ground. She crouched so she couldn't hit her face directly on the ground. All of a sudden, she heard a loud roar coming from the surface.
