Chapter 58 The Terrible Monster's

Yanare Degakure doesn't know what she was looking at. She was staring at a dark monster in the distance that was taller than a two-story building in the capital. She was looking at a monster that had dead people sticking out of it. She almost threw herself off. The monster appeared out of nowhere, and she was sweating.
Arthur, McRan, and Kuragari have seen the monster from afar, and it didn't frighten them, but it made them flinch. Kurina reached the surface, and she was standing behind the three. Suddenly, the three turn around when they sense her presence. The monster stopped roaring and looked for humans.
"Kurina, what's that sword you're holding? That's not from us, and we sensed another presence down at the ground a couple of minutes ago, now that unknown is dead. What happened exactly?" McRan asked in a serious tone while Arthur straight stared at her eyes.
"Kyoyurkona Gakure... This sword belongs to him and he died in the most horrible way. All the five of us need to return alive to look for that swordsman in the surface or else it would be the end of us. He's the one who's down below. I saw countless swordsmen dead in a cage. At least hundreds of them, all powerful ones. And this man, Kyoyurkona, managed to survive and tell the upcoming dangers. The current Kyoyurkona in the village wondering is not the real one but an imposter!" She said menacingly while trembling in anger and said it while raising his sword with his right hand.
"We need to at least have one to return, but in this case we need five of us to return. We also should retrieve his body to make sure. We can't make any mistakes, or else something bad would happen if we came back out there. Also, General Rui is expecting the five of us to return alive. I wonder why," Arthur stated in a serious tone as he turned around, and his eyes widened all of a sudden when he saw the monster that appeared out of nowhere have vanished.
Suddenly, he got a glimpse of the light on the ground and up above him and realized it was dark. He sees a shadow blocking it, which makes him look up. A sudden silence occured and he sees the roof getting destroyed. Kurina senses it; she immediately runs to the door on the ground and jumps down. She slammed her face to the ground, and Arthur grabbed McRan and Kuragari and threw them towards the light in the distance.
He got left behind, and he drew his sword and started swinging it upward. A giant noise and a sudden roar that can break your eardrums occurred. Kuragari and McRan tumble to the ground and roll.
"Arthur!" McRan shouted furiously as he stood and pulled his sword with his right hand out of its sheath, but suddenly he got grabbed by Kuragari and jumped up. He then landed where Yanare Degakure was. She was shocked when she saw both of them.
"Kuragari! How about Arthur?" He inquired furiously. Suddenly, they heard the monster grunt, which made them turn around and suddenly see it falling. It made their eyes widen as they lowered their heads and looked on the ground, seeing Arthur have blood dripping from his forehead and his chipped blade.
"Damn it! My blade, it's chipped already! I only pierced through his foot and cut it all the way from the inside, but it got chipped in the process, but it's good he's falling. And good thing Kurina made the right choice to jump back at the basement; it saved her life," Arthur thought. He smiled behind the mask as he turned to his left to see the monster. Suddenly, his eyes widened again when he saw the monster's giant foot coming towards him.
It kicked him in the face and along his whole left side of the body. He grunts and spits out blood as he gets kicked and is thrown afar. He tumbled and rolled on the ground and slammed his face so many times that he let go of his sword and lost consciousness.
"Arthur!" Kuragari shouted. He drew his sword with his right hand and was about to jump when, all of a sudden, he heard a collision of swords behind him. That made him turn around, and as soon as he turned around, he saw sharp claws collide with McRan's sword and Yanare's sword. It made his eyes widen, and he saw more of them coming.
"Fall back! McRan! And Yanare! We can't fight unknown enemies!" He shouted furiously. He turned around and jumped down. McRan pushed back the claws with his sword, dashed backwards, and swung his sword down, cutting the unknown dark mob with claws in front of him. Yanare did the same, and they both ran and jumped down, following Kuragari.
Kurina, on the other hand, was kneeling on the ground in the basement. Behind her was the ladder, and up above her was the door on the ground, completely closed, but there were massive cracks on it, just like on the roof. She glanced at the cages and made a sad face and shook her head left and right because of how painful it must've been for them to be in the cage and not have their souls at peace and at rest.
On the surface, Kuragari grabbed Arthur's body on the ground, and McRan grabbed the sword that he let go of when he got unconscious. Arthur's right hand was bleeding, and his forehead had blood dripping.
"We need to hide and treat Arthur. We'll hide for now, and as soon as we treat him, we'll continue the mission," Kuragari said as the two of them looked at him in the eyes and nodded. They were running nonstop in an alleyway. Their footsteps were silent and the same as their surroundings, except for behind them.
Yanare Degakure's left ear was badly damaged, but she doesn't care. She was staring at Kuragari while blushing. All of a sudden, she got serious when she sensed a presence from behind, which made her turn around. She glanced in the far distance and saw three dark mobs with sharp claws staring at them.
"Yanare, don't even think of it. We need to get out of here. We'll leave Kurina for now. I'm sure she senses it and someone is wounded, and we need to hide for now. And if you fought them now, there is no turning back," Kuragari stated in a serious tone that made Yanare turn towards him and continue to run. They slowly vanished into the darkness as the three dark mobs with sharp claws slowly changed shape and turned into humans. They slowly turned into swordsmen that they'd already killed a long time ago.
While the three were running and Kuragari was carrying Arthur on his shoulders, a scythe with a chain attached to its handle came flying towards them. They avoided it by jumping up and landing on top of the chain.
The three of them pierced the chain to the ground, and all of a sudden they got pulled to the right. They immediately jumped when they felt the force.
The scythe blade, which was at least six feet long, and the handle, which was eight feet long, came flying in front of their faces. The three of their eyes widened when, all of a sudden, a chain with a small blade attached to its end came flying towards Kuragari. It wounded his right hand, and he accidentally let go of Arthur so he could save his whole arm.
Then McRan tried to grab him, but the chain got wrapped around Arthur and grabbed him back. All of their eyes widened in terror as Kuragari and McRan immediately drew their swords angrily and swung them down towards the chain, but it was too late. McRan uses Arthur's sword.
The two of them turned around, seeing two unknown swordsmen standing. The two of them have a sword on their left waist, but they were using a chain and scythe. The one on the left, where Kuragari was looking, was the one who had Arthur's unconscious body, and the one on the right was the one who wielded the scythe.
"Don't you both dare lay a finger on him!" McRan stated menacingly as he suddenly realized that Yanare was gone on their side. He immediately looked around for her, but her presence was completely gone and nowhere to be found.
"McRan... Step aside. I will take care of them both. Yanare was sent flying at least a few hundred feet away. She'll be injured. In my southwest, that's where she was thrown. I don't know what made her fly that far, but it's clear that they've gathered force," Kuragari said menacingly. He showed his sword and its blade, which suddenly lit up bright red.
"Be safe and sound. I will be back here and I will see you in one piece, or Yanare will go on a rampage and we won't be able to control her. Don't forget what she said to you when we were just in the City Gate. She said kill her with your own sword if she ever lost control of herself. Don't let that happen," McRan stated in a low voice to him. Suddenly, he jumped and headed southwest without a doubt.
"Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa! You're just—" one of the swordsmen said in the distance who has the scythe. He was suddenly interrupted when his own scythe pierced through his mouth, destroying his skull.
The other swordsman on his side, who is holding Arthur and another chain with a small knife attached to its end, was shocked when he saw his fellow swordsman have a sword piercing through his skull, but there was no blood.
Kuragari then swung his sword towards him and stabbed him in the face, piercing his blade through his face. He let go of Arthur, which made him immediately grab him and distance himself from them.
