• • 15 • • / LIYANA'S POV I sigh getting confused to every thing that is happening around me. I keep on stirring the shake infront of me but not drinking it. "Liyana?" I heard a voice called me but didn't pay attention to it as I sigh again. I am sure I don't know Serena personally. How-- "Ya Liyana." Then I felt a light tap on my shoulder taking me off of my reverie. "Huh?" I blink and saw Snow looking at me worriedly. "Are you okay?" She asked stretching her hands to my forehead. "You don't have a fever though," she said frowning. A little smile escaped my lips as I look at Snow. "It's because I am fine silly," I said. "I'm sorry. I am just thinking about something that I keep on spacing out." "Are you sure?" She ask and I nodded. "Can I leave you for a moment then? Sir Miller asked me to see him at his office after class. It's been 10 minutes when our first class ended and he might be waiting for me." I nodded at Snow. "Yeah. Don't worry I am fine. See you at our next class later." "Alright." I took a sip from my shake as I watch Snow disappear from my sight. She's a very good friend and I am glad I met her. I took another sip, thinking about those scenes that kept on flashing in my head out of the blue when I heard someone cleared his throat in my back. Frowning, I look behind me and I instantly choke on my shake seeing Max standing there. I cough several times as I stared at him wide eyes. "Why are you here? How did you know I was here?" I asked. "Well," he said and showed me a note. I took the note from him and read it. 'I'm going back at Rivendell. Thank you for your help. Xoxo, Liyana.' I facepalm myself. That was such a very stupid move. "Why are you here alone?" He asked casually and took a sit beside me. "Don't you have classes anymore?" "I have," I answered. "We are just taking a break." "I see," he said nodding. And then we fell silent. The atmosphere is not awkward at all. Just pure silence. I glance at him then and I suddenly remembered what Snow told me. It wouldn't hurt if I'll ask him, right? I cleared my throat and spoke. "By any chance, are you here last night?" "Why?" He quickly asked. I secretly rolled my eyes at his answer. "Nothing. I am just asking," I said and decided not to ask him about last night anymore. "Why are you here anyway?" I asked. But instead of answering my question, he asked me again. "How are you feeling today? Are you fine?" I frowned at him. "Tsk why are you answering my question with a question?" I said unable to hide my annoyance. Is it so hard to give a proper answer? He then chuckled. "I am starting to doubt myself. I think I am wrong. She is soft spoken and kind but you are rude and all." "What?" I frowned. "What are you talking about?" He sigh deeply and stared at my face. I raise an eyebrow at him. "What?" I said and glared at him. "Goodness I think I am really wrong," he said while still staring at me in disbelief. I scoffed totally annoyed at him and stood up. "I'm leaving. Good bye!" "What?" He ask dumbfounded but I ignored him and started to walk away. Duh, he keeps on saying things I don't understand. What is he saying that he is wrong? Crazy. "Hey wait! Don't you want to know what happened last night?" He asked that stopped me from my track. I turned around to look at him. "What? What about last night?" He grinned and walked near me. "I am here last night and I am the one who saved you from the monsters." He said proudly. I blink my eyes twice. "You are the one who saved me, you said?" He nodded. "Yes." Snow is telling the truth then. "Thank you then," I said and continued to walk. "That's all? Just thank you?" He asked and followed me in disbelief. I rolled my eyes. "What do you want me to do then? Kiss you and hug you?" I said sarcastically. "Well, I wouldn't complain if you--" I kick his legs and glared at him. "Crazy." I walked fast and left him at the hallway groaning in pain and entered my next class. I already thanked him and that's enough. We are not close anyway so there's no point of me talking with him again. When I entered our classroom, Snow is already in our seat and we talked. Our next teacher just discussed, the same goes with our remaining subjects and soon class ended. "You'll go home?" Snow asked and I nodded at her. We are in our room and she is busy eating her favorite strawberry. "Yes. I'll just come early tomorrow." I said while packing my bag. "Alright. Be careful then." "Yup don't worry. I'm going then," I said and waved good bye. I decided to go home to ask Mom about what's happening to me. Recently, I've been experiencing head ache out of nowhere. And those scenes that keeps on flashing on my mind is making me confused. "Mom!" I called her when I got home. "Liyana?" She look at me confused but gave me a hug as she led me inside. "Why are you here? Don't you have classes tomorrow?" She asked. "Geez I miss you too Mom," I said instead of answering her question. She chuckled and pinch my cheeks softly. "I miss you too love." We walked inside and I frowned when I saw a woman sitting at our living room. I turned to look at Mom and she just smiled at me. "Come and meet your Aunt." She said. I followed Mom and when the woman turned to look at me, I was stunned for a moment as my gaze landed on her. She looks a little bit like me. "Meet your Aunt Leya, she's my sister." Mom introduced. I stared at her and her eyes speaks too many emotions. Happiness, pain, longing. "Hello Aunt," I greeted her and she smiled at me happiness beaming in her eyes. "You have changed too much but you are still as beautiful as ever," she said. "How are you?" She asked. I smiled. "I am fine Aunt." I turned to look at Mom. "I'll just go and change Mom." I said and she nodded at me. I quickly went into my room and changed my clothes. Gosh I miss the smell of my room. I smiled and jump into my bed. I miss home. I stayed for few more minutes inside my room before I decided to go out. I thought of staying inside my room since Mom had a visitor but Aunt Leya looks happy to see me. I was surprised because we look a like a little but maybe because she is Mom's sister. I shrugged. I'm not really sure. I went out and walk to our living room but stopped in my tracks when I heard Mom and Aunt's conversation. "Let Liyana take this. I know she already consumed the last bottle that I gave you ," Aunt Leya said and gave Mom a small bottle. Mom took it and I frowned. That was the medicine Mom had been giving me. Frowning, I walked closer to hear more of their conversation while keeping myself hidden. And then I heard Mom sigh. "Don't you want her to regain her memories?" She asked and my brows creased together. What? "I don't want her to regain her memories," Aunt Leya said straightforward. "So keep giving her that medicine at all cost." She added making me look at her disbelief.
