Chapter 60 Epilogue

Two years later…
"What can you say about the new look of our house?" June asked Vanessa with a smile. They recently moved to the newly renovated house in Talisay town, it's simple but big enough for them to start building a family. They got married six months ago and Vanessa is also a month pregnant.
"Good, I know it's good even though I haven't seen it yet because I'm impressed with your taste," Vanessa commented and she was the first to approach the door of the house. June immediately supported her husband when he opened the door.
"June, chill. I can handle myself, I'm only one month pregnant," Vanessa recalled with a laugh. June was just shaken because he knew how independent Vanessa was, she didn't want him to be too supportive. Good thing, Vanessa's pregnancy was not sensitive.
"Okay, but can you blame me? That's our first baby." June frowned and sat down on the couch.
"Martina and Randell are said to be almost here, along with Alina, Nanay Remmy and Ricky." Vanessa's smile widened as June sat next to her in her seat.
"Ah. Of course. I almost forgot. Now they're coming. Wait, I'll just cook," June said.
"No need, Nanay Isay and I cooked before we came here. She'll be going too." Vanessa stood up and went to the dining area. She kindly arranged the dining table for June's relatives. She's done within thirty minutes. It is also correct that the expected guests have arrived.
"Hello!" Vanessa kissed Martina and Alina. They will meet for the second time. The first time was when Vanessa and June got married in the mini cathedral. June, on the other hand, took care of the other guests, especially Nanay Remmy, who had just arrived, immediately looking for Nanay Isay. Because those two are best friends.
"How about a job in an accounting firm?" Vanessa asked Martina and Alina, since the two are already working together in the firm owned by Martina.
"The stress is still there, along with mother duties," Martina retorted, glancing slightly at her husband Randell. Their oldest daughter is two years old and they are thankful for that blessing. They did not have offspring right away.
"When did you and Ricky get married?" Vanessa turned to Alina.
"We're still thinking about whether in the next 3 months. Our schedule is still the same, hectic. Ricky will just be promoted to the university he's working at," Alina said excitedly. They haven't pushed Ricky to get married yet, especially since they know they don't have enough savings. They don't want to rely on Nanay Remmy even though she has promised to pay the expenses if they get married.
The three couples seem like they are living their best life in harmony and peace. Even if there is a little misunderstanding in their relationship, they still get along because the love foundation in their marriage is more dominant.
"Isay!" Mother Remmy screamed to grab everyone's attention. Nanay Remmy's bff, Nanay Isay, is already there. It is true that the friendship between the two people is still strong even after a few years.
The two embrace.
"I thought you weren't coming, I have a lot of good news about your farm," said Nanay Isay.
"Oh, that's later, let's talk about our lives first. That's why we're here. And then I brought your new favorite. Come on!" Nanay Remmy said excitedly and hugged Nanay Isay to the dining table. She pulled out the jar full of anchovies. And when it opened, they suddenly heard June's nausea.
"June, is there a problem? I know this is your favorite," Mother Remmy commented to her nephew.
"The stench, I don't like that. I'm sorry I just have to go to the restroom." June hurried to the bathroom and they heard her vomit— which is weird.
"Aha, is it possible for a man to conceive while his wife is pregnant? When Martina got pregnant, I didn't experience that but others said it's okay," Randell said, looking at the behavior of Martina, Alina and Vanessa.
"Are you Vanessa, you're not conceiving?" Mom Remmy asked and Vanessa nodded quickly.
"Confirmed, it's June who's going to experience a pregnancy symptom."
Everyone laughed at Mother Remmy's conclusion. She also closed the jar and a few moments later June returned.
"Are you talking about me?" he asked incredulously.
"Yes Sir June, congrats because conception is not a joke," Ricky teased.
"And how did you say that? Have you conceived since you had a child?" Alina groaned and teased her boyfriend Ricky.
"Oh my gosh, there's a fight stinking again. Just now you have to think if you really plan to get married. Since you've met, you've been fighting," Martina laughed at the two lovers.
"There's nothing I can do if I don't accept my fate. I'm going to be a father and here's the consequence, as long as I don't smell the new one, I'm fine there." June just shrugged and approached Vanessa. "Isn't it honey?"
"Wow the endearment is cute, honey." Nanay Remmy's smile widened when she glanced at Vanessa and June who still seem to be deeply in love with each other.
"Then I call her bee. Sounds like baby by or short term," Vanessa giggled.
"I know that. It's popular now on social media— Bhie. Keep slaying bhie!" Ricky said again in a soft voice, mimicking a female teenager's voice.
Laughter filled the house. For now, they will make the most of the day together and only talk and eat. Because it's their quality time together.
