Igneel, or whoever was now inhabiting his body, looked over the room with disdain. The tension was palpable as if the very air was thick with fear and confusion. Alahim, struggling to breathe under pressure, managed to muster a faint, “Who… who are you?” With an almost bored tone, the entity responded, “I am not someone you would understand. Think of me as an overseer, a higher being sent to correct the course of your doomed world.” Nathan, the demon, seethed with anger. “We do not need your interference. We’ve managed on our own for centuries.” The entity laughed, a chilling sound that echoed through the room. “Managed? By worshipping false gods and living in constant fear? That’s hardly managing. But worry not, your role is still crucial in the grand play.” Christian, still tearful and confused, took a step forward. “Why us? Why my sister? What did we do to deserve this?” The entity’s eyes softened, if only slightly. “It’s not about deserving, child. It’s about necessity. The tower requires souls to fuel its existence. You and your sister were chosen for your potential, for your ability to evoke emotion in the gods.” Alahim, gathering his strength, asked, “And what do you gain from this?” The entity smirked. “Control. Balance. The power to shape reality itself.” “Enough of this!” Nathan roared, his demonic aura flaring up. “Release Igneel and face us directly if you dare!” Before the entity could respond, a loud crash interrupted the tense standoff. The door to the office was flung open, and a group of rebels stormed in, weapons drawn. At their head was a woman with fierce determination in her eyes. “Stand down!” she commanded, her voice unwavering. “We’ve come to take back what’s ours.” The entity in Igneel’s body turned, amusement dancing in those glowing eyes. “Ah, the rebels. Always so predictable.” Alahim recognized the leader immediately. “Commander Elara,” he breathed, “you shouldn’t be here. It’s too dangerous.” Elara shot him a steely glance. “We don’t have a choice. If what we’ve heard is true, this might be our only chance to break free.” The entity, now visibly intrigued, gestured for her to continue. “Do enlighten me, Commander. What is your grand plan?” Elara raised her weapon, aiming it directly at Igneel’s chest. “We’re here to destroy the tower. To end this charade once and for all.” The entity laughed again, but this time there was a hint of genuine amusement. “You think you can destroy the tower? The very foundation of your existence? You’re more foolish than I thought.” But Elara stood firm. “We have allies within the tower. People who want the same thing we do. Freedom.” A flicker of doubt crossed the entity’s face. “Allies? Impossible.” “Believe it,” Elara replied, her voice steady. “The tower’s grip is weakening. And we’re here to finish the job.” Nathan, sensing an opportunity, unleashed a burst of demonic energy towards the entity. Caught off guard, the entity staggered, the glow in Igneel’s eyes dimming for a moment. “Now!” Elara shouted. The rebels surged forward, a fierce battle erupting in the cramped office. Alahim, Nathan, and even the weakened Christian joined the fray, determined to reclaim their fate from the clutches of this higher power. As the struggle intensified, Igneel’s body convulsed, the entity fighting to maintain control. But the combined efforts of the rebels and their allies proved too much. With a final, anguished cry, the entity was expelled, leaving Igneel to collapse, unconscious but free. Panting and bloodied, Elara turned to the others. “This is just the beginning. We need to gather our forces and head to the tower. That’s where we’ll make our stand.” Alahim, helping a groggy Igneel to his feet, nodded. “Agreed. We end this, once and for all.” Nathan, his demonic energy crackling around him, added, “For too long we’ve been pawns in their game. It’s time we become the players.” And so, united in purpose, they set their sights on the tower. The path ahead was fraught with danger, but their resolve was unshakable. The final battle for their world’s fate was about to begin. soon after, the officials are the only ones who are in the room and can’t help but ask “We don’t even understand what that tower is! Allies?! You want us to believe we have allies?!” Elara’s face remained stoic, not wanting to tell more of her story. Her previous uplifting spirit is nowhere to be found now. Ronald Richardson barged in and now looking at them with a piercing gaze “Sit, We’re now commencing our long-awaited meeting with the visitors. Tell all of them to get in” Nathan, who only cares about Lina’s welfare took the initiative to guide her in her seat. There’s a small basin to soak her feet with the magical water, she can’t help but curse one more time when she gets her wits together “Fck this situation! I can’t even understand the whole thing when I’m not in this… WATER!” She took the cue to shut up when her uncle threw her a darting gaze holding down the hardbound copy of her diary, The officers looked scared when they realized that he was giving it to the demon, Nathan. Before accepting it, the uncle commented “I don’t think you even need this. Aren’t you?” the demon could only nod and look at Lina, the latter one made an accusing gaze and said “Where’s my sister?” No one dared to answer her Christian, on the other hand, looks weary “Please sister, don’t get mad… It appears that she ran away during all these troubles” Unable to accept the situation, Lina’s on the verge of breakdown. The only thing she can think of now is to find her sister no matter what ------- Note. I'm back, IDK if someone will still read this or anything. I'll just write IG
