As the officials convened, their expressions a mixture of skepticism and hope, the tension in the room grew thicker. Elara remained silent, her stern gaze unwavering as they waited for the "visitors" to arrive. The mystery surrounding the tower and its alleged allies weighed heavily on everyone's minds. Ronald Richardson's piercing gaze swept across the room. "We need answers. If there are indeed allies within the tower, we must understand their motives and capabilities. This is our only chance." Nathan, standing protectively by Lina, watched as she soaked her feet in the magical water, a look of determination etched on his face. "We will get to the bottom of this," he muttered, more to himself than anyone else. The door creaked open, and a group of individuals entered, their appearances as diverse as their origins. At the forefront was a tall, wiry man with a shock of silver hair and piercing blue eyes. Beside him, a woman with an air of quiet authority, her dark hair pulled back into a tight braid, scanned the room with a calculated gaze. Elara stepped forward, addressing the group. "These are our allies from the tower. They have risked everything to join our cause." The tall man nodded. "I am Kael, and this is Selene. We represent a faction within the tower that has long opposed the tyranny of the gods." Alahim, still trying to process the situation, asked, "Why now? Why choose to help us now after all this time?" Kael's eyes hardened. "The gods' control is weakening. Their obsession with entertainment has led to complacency. We see this as our opportunity to strike and end their reign." Selene added, "The tower is not just a structure; it's a living entity, fed by the souls it consumes. If we can sever its connection to this world, we can free everyone." Nathan, ever skeptical, crossed his arms. "And what do you gain from this? Why risk your lives?" Kael's expression softened slightly. "Because we are all pawns in their game. By freeing your world, we also gain our freedom. The tower's grip extends beyond just your realm." “You know very well, why we’re doing this” with her quiet demeanor, Selene look at Nathan knowing well he was all bullshit Elara nodded in agreement. "Our interests align. We fight for a common cause." Ronald Richardson, still unconvinced, leaned forward. "And how do you propose we destroy something as powerful as the tower?" Kael exchanged a glance with Selene before replying, "There is a weakness within the tower—a core that maintains its connection to the gods. If we can reach it and disrupt its energy flow, we can bring the tower down." Selene continued, "But it's heavily guarded. We'll need a coordinated effort, both from inside and out. That’s where you come in." Nathan's demonic energy crackled slightly as he spoke. "We have power here, and we're willing to fight. But we need more than just promises. We need a plan." Kael pulled out a detailed map of the tower, spreading it across the table. "This is our plan. We've identified key points that, if attacked simultaneously, can create a chain reaction leading to the core's destabilization. We have people on the inside ready to act. With your help, we can synchronize our efforts and ensure success." As the group huddled around the map, discussing strategies and coordinating their movements, Lina's mind was elsewhere. The thought of her missing sister gnawed at her, a constant distraction. Nathan, noticing her distress, placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "We'll find her, Lina," he said softly. "But we need to focus on this first. Without the tower, we'll never be free." Lina nodded, wiping away a tear. "I know” With an expression ready to wage a war Selene, noticing their exchange, approached them. "We have resources within the tower that can help locate your sister. Once the battle is won, we'll use every means at our disposal to find her." Lina looked up, she did not want anything to do with that tower but considering her sister’s situation, she looked up with gratitude mingling with determination in her eyes. Kael addressed the group once more. "We move at dawn. Prepare yourselves. This will be the fight of our lives." At the crack of dawn, the ragtag group of rebels and their new allies gathered at the edge of the forest, the towering structure looming ominously in the distance. Kael, with his shock of silver hair gleaming in the early light, laid out the final details of the plan. "Alright, everyone, remember your roles. We've only got one shot at this." Nathan, his demonic aura toned down for the sake of stealth, couldn’t resist a smirk. "One shot?” Elara rolled her eyes. "This isn’t the time for jokes, Demon." Nathan blink, thinking whats the joke in ‘one shot’ Lina, still worried about her sister but now focused on the mission, stood beside Christian, who was nervously adjusting his gear. She patted him on the back. "Relax. You’ve got this." knowing that all his friends are not here, she look at her baby brother Christian gave her a shaky smile. "Easy for you to say, sister. You're not the one who accidentally packed a rubber chicken instead of a weapon." Selene, overhearing, raised an eyebrow. "A rubber chicken? Really?" who even include a child in this operation? Christian shrugged, pulling the rubber chicken from his pack. "It’s my lucky charm. Don’t judge." Kael cleared his throat, trying to regain focus. "Moving on. Remember, we need to hit these key points simultaneously. Distraction, infiltration, sabotage. Everyone knows their roles?" A chorus of affirmations filled the air Elara took a deep breath. "Alright, let’s move." As they approached the tower, the group split into their assigned teams. Elara, Kael, and Nathan took the front entrance, while Selene led Christian to a hidden side entrance. The rest of the rebels fanned out, ready to create diversions. Lina can’t help to feel helpless as she watch them disappear in her sight. Selene did not go on the details of ‘how to get inside the tower’ since everyone know this tower is not your ordinary tower The front team encountered the first set of guards. Nathan stepped forward, cracking his knuckles. Elara gave him a pointed look. "Subtle, Nathan. Very subtle." "Subtlety is overrated," he quipped, leading the way inside. Meanwhile, at the side entrance, Selene used her authority and knowledge of the tower to bypass security. Christian, unable to resist, whispered to Lina on his little intercom, "Did you hear about the mathematician who’s afraid of negative numbers?" Lina gave a confused look. "What?" "He’ll stop at nothing to avoid them, Sister" Christian replied with a grin. Lina groaned. "Christian, this is serious!" "I know, but if I don’t laugh, I’ll panic," he admitted, his smile fading slightly. Selene shook her head, amused. "Focus, you two. We’re almost in." Inside the tower, the teams converged at the designated points. The plan was going smoothly—too smoothly. Suddenly, an alarm blared, echoing through the corridors. Kael’s voice crackled over the comms. "We’ve been compromised. Proceed with the plan, but be prepared for resistance." Nathan grinned. "Finally!" He charged ahead, blasting through obstacles with reckless abandon. "Who's next?!" his demon side is now uncontrollable Elara and Kael exchanged glances. "Keep moving!" Elara shouted. "We can’t afford to get bogged down."
