Chapter 23 The Queen's Secret Visit

"Do you remember?" Kyung is the first to speak up in order to break the awkward silence between them. He takes out the spicy chicken legs box and opens it. Dan Oh feels as though her saliva is flowing down her throat at the sight of her favorite cuisine.
"When we were seven years old, we had our first taste of spicy chicken legs. At that time, your mouth swelled to the size of this." Kyung makes a ballon-sized gesture with his finger in front of his lip, pouting his lips to exaggerate the moment, which quickly causes Dan Oh to burst out laughing.
"You are crying buckets when you taste the spiciness, but you insist on continuing. You even make a birthday wish to eat the spicy chicken legs since it makes you feel eager and cheerful. "
"Oh, you're correct! How could you possibly recall that? But my lip never grew as much as you said!" Dan Oh objects to Kyung and claims that he exaggerates everything.
"No, no, no. Your lip has truly grown that large," but Kyung disagrees.
"And then, on your birthday, the vendor of this food near our houses ceased operations. You cry a lot and curse him, alleging that he took away your wonderful birthday."
"You always make a big deal about spicy chicken legs, as if you never eat it and are always trying it for the first time. You're always loud and chatty. You've always turned into a tiny idiot who follows me around and never stops talking," Kyung says, remembering the tiny little Dan Oh when they were younger.
"Hey, you act as if I'm the only one who has ever become the idiot kiddie here. You, too, are a sobbing baby. Don't you remember sobbing pityingly when your daisy blooms died? And never, ever call me tiny! When we were kids, I was considerably taller than you! " Dan Oh is determined not to lose his childhood best buddy and her old sweetheart.
"Ah, yes, I remember that. I used to cry easily over trivial matters as a child, and I was always shorter than your ear. Isn't this why you pledged to always protect me?" Kyung rests his cheek on his palm on the table and smiles warmly at Dan Oh.
"That was several decades ago. There is a lot of change. Now I look like a dwarf when I stand next to you," Dan Oh joked.
"That is not correct. Nothing has changed. You're still the ferocious little Dan Oh from before. You would never hesitate to punch someone if they caused you difficulty. You never change. So do I," the athlete said, touching Dan Oh's bangs and placing them behind her ear.
He had a beautiful smile on his face. But it's not long before a strong arm yanks his hand away from Dan Oh's head. His smile quickly fades as he focuses on another man he is attempting to ignore about his exsistance. Kyung has been trying to divert his attention away from Woon's presence in her apartment by focusing on the conversation about his childhood recollection with Dan Oh.
Dan Oh moves gently backwards to avoid getting too close to Kyung. His partner is starting to feel jealous. She has been agreeing to Kyung's conversation in order to ease the tension and awkwardness between the two men. But she had no idea Kyung would make such a daring attempt to touch her in front of her lover. No, Kyung has always been a brash man from the start; she should be more cautious of this and avoid anything that would make Woon uncomfortable. She then takes one spicy chicken leg and immediately offers it to the lover.
"Woon-ah, have you ever tasted this since you've been here? Try taking a bite."
Woon frowns as he watches the chicken leg, wondering why Dan Oh would eat something so disgusting. He never touched any animal's foot in his kingdom, and he still doesn't understand why people on Earth do. It is not his taste, and he is not a fan of spicy food. He is afraid to taste the legs, but seeing Dan Oh's glittering and enthusiastic gaze convinces him.
Woon carefully opened his mouth and let Dan Oh insert the hot chicken leg. When the spicy leg touched him, he felt a harsh feeling on his mouth. Woon coughed heavily, prompting Dan Oh to get a glass of water and rush over to him.
"Chh" Kyung snorted at Woon's reaction to the spicy dish. The athlete then devours one chilly chicken leg.
"Aren't you supposed to avoid spicy and fatty foods in your diet to maintain your shape and stamina as an athlete?" the petite woman asks the athlete.
"I'm going to ignore my diet for tonight," Kyung says mockingly to Woon, who can't eat spicy food. It appears like the athlete intends to challenge him.
Woon grabs another chicken leg and forces himself to consume it. The two men engage in a ridiculous competition in front of Dan Oh, causing her to develop another headache. She tries to get the two of them to stop, but they don't listen to her.
She is concerned about their two conditions, but she does not want to sit and watch as the two towering men gobble all of her favorite foods. As a result, she joins in and devours the chicken legs at twice the speed of the two men.
Woon and Kyung are taken aback as they see Dan Oh begin to eat. Yes, she is a voracious eater, and they are well aware of this. But watching Dan Oh eat so quickly in such a large portion still amused them. How could a little woman like her consume twice as fast and as much as the two of them?
In the end, the men who wanted to compete with each other were completely defeated by Dan Oh. She devours all of the spicy chicken legs in record time. She had a wide, contented smile on her face since she was so happy to be eating her favorite dish. The two men are left speechless.
Woon's stomach is complaining because he isn't used to eating spicy cuisine. He instantly stood up and ran to the toilet. He's got a wild stomachache from forcing himself to consume the hot chicken legs.
"Woon-ah, are you okay?" Dan Oh asked, quickly following after him and pounding on the toilet door. But Woon begs her to leave him alone for the time being. If Dan Oh is listening, he can't do his business on the toilet. As a result, she agrees to go despite her concern for him.
"It appears that he is still unfamiliar with Korean cuisine. How dull." When Dan Oh returns to the living room, Kyung makes a caustic remark. She inhales deeply. Kyung has a strong tongue, which she is used to, but she understands he is not a horrible guy. But she refuses to let Woon hear what he said.
"It's getting late. I believe you must return. I need to rest," she replies flatly.   Kyung pause for a moment.
Dan Oh expresses her desire for him to go. He realizes he can't stay there any longer if she doesn't want him to. Dan Oh had been following his love for years since they were children, and being in a relationship with her makes him happy, and he knows she is also happy while they are together. She has, however, moved on. He must accept this.
"All right," Kyung says, forcing himself to smile and stand. He approached Dan Oh and gently touched her shoulder.
"Congratulations on your birthday. "Please come to support me when I have a match, as you always do," he says.
Dan Oh simply smiles and says nothing. He taps her on the shoulder before turning around and leaving her apartment.
Dan Oh had been waiting for Woon to come out of the toilet for about 30 minutes. His stomachache appears to be quite severe. She gave him pills to help calm down his stomach. He accepts her assistance with an uneasy smile, taking the pill and drinking it slowly.
"Why do you insist on eating spicy food when you can't handle it?" she wonders.
"I just don't want you to think I'm less than him," Woon says candidly.
"Why would I think it in that way for that?" She thinks it's crazy.
Woon does nothing except smile and brush her hair. She is correct. He doesn't need to work up simply for such a minor issue. Dan Oh's romance with Kyung, after all, ended years ago. But... It's not that simple to think that way.
"Ah, full moon" Woon's attention was drawn to the moon when he looked out the window by chance.
He steps up to the balcony, taking in the full moon. Dan Oh follows him carefully before pulling his hand to sit on the swing and watch the moon together. She fixed her gaze on Woon's countenance. He is staring intensely at the moon, as if there were nothing else more interesting in the dark sky.
"Do you miss your kingdom?" she asks, drawing a conclusion from his expression.
She has been keeping a tight eye on him since every time there is a full moon, Woon takes his time staring at it. She believes that is all because he misses his home planet and everyone in his kingdom.
Woon doesn't say anything in response to her question. He merely smiles and stares at the sky. Dan Oh decides to follow his eyes while also admiring the night sky. She enjoys the scenery just as much as he does. She can't help but be taken in by it all.
"You know, when I miss you, I'm always staring at the moon and wondering about myself. How far do I have to travel to reach the planet from which you have come? How long would it take me to get to your realm from where I am, and how can I travel there every time I miss you?"
Woon smiles at her remarks; it appears that he now thinks the same way she does. His eyes are filled with longing. He misses his kingdom, she is correct. He misses the place where he was born and where he could make a better life for himself and her. But he is fully aware that he will not be able to return to Mirac in a timely manner. At the very least, he'll have to wait another seven years until the supermoon connects their two worlds.
Dan Oh placed her head on his shoulder before wrapping her fingers around his arm.
"I love you, Woon," she said as she closed her eyes. She doesn't require much time to fall asleep. Her eyelids are too heavy, and the exhaustion from her hurried full day hits her all at once. She began snoring quietly.
Woon examines her face and realizes she has been asleep. He chuckles to himself. She doesn't even let him respond to her love word before falling asleep.
"I love you too, Dan Oh," he whispers softly, resting his head on hers and staring at the moon.
Meanwhile on Hwon Kingdom (Mirac Planet)
A aristocratic husband and wife are having fun with their twin children. The mother is teaching her little boy the fundamentals of swordart, while the young father is escorting his daughter to pick some flowers in the garden.
"Good job, sweet heart," the mother exclaimed, complimenting her kid as he swung a wooden sword in all directions. His movement demonstrates no hint of proper basic methods, but watching her son passionately sway the wooden sword in all directions makes the mother happy. Key is the name of the duchess.
"Huwaaaaaa" she hears her daughter crying loudly from the other side, while his spouse laughs. She immediately takes a deep breath. Even though she hasn't turned around, she can tell what's causing her kid to cry.
    "Ryuuu" she warns her spouse.
"Why? She's just too cute," Ryu exclaimed, chuckling as his daughter sobbed.
"Mama!" The tiny daughter flees her father and runs to her mother.
Key instantly embraces her and carries her tiny body. She inquires of her daughter as to what occurred.
"Papa put a worm in my beautiful hair, waaahhh," cries the baby. Key quickly cast a withering gaze at her husband, causing Ryu to smirk sheepishly. He enjoys playing practical jokes on everyone, and making his own children weep as a result of his misbehavior has become his new passion.
"Papa is sorry; here is a gift for you," Ryu clasps his both palms and hands it to his daughter. The daughter has stopped crying and appears pleased with the gift from her father. When Ryu opens his palm, she discovers a worm on it. He pulls yet another joke.
"Ryu!" Key whacks his head loudly, yet he continues to chuckle. She is irritated by his juvenile behavior. Why should he make his children cry because of his own misbehavior? That is ridiculous.
"My lord, my lady, the queen has arrived," says a servant as he rushes towards the young couple.
Key and Ryu exchange serious expressions right away. They then stroll together to meet their surprise visitor.
Siera is seated on a chair in the midst of Ryu and Key's yard. As her two friends approach, she smiles. They note the robes she wears to conceal herself, covering her entire body up to her head. The queen seemed to have arrived at their residence alone, with neither the king nor anybody else informed. She is all alone.
