Chapter 29 I Miss You

Gwi is intently observing Lyn's expression as she asks him to spend the night in her room. With her dazzling eyes, the young woman just looks at him with expectation.
"Lyn..." the king exhales slowly before continuing his sentence. He removes his hand from her grasp.
"Are you aware of what you're talking about right now?" he finally asks.
"Yes. You appear exhausted and depressed, and I'm sure you wouldn't want anyone else to see you like that. So I want you to remain and feel at ease here." She goes on to explain. Her words and expression indicate that she has no ill will toward that. It causes Gwi to take another deep breath.
"I can't," the king eventually responds. Her face dropped in despair as the expectant glance on her face faded.
"We must exercise caution in order to avoid unneeded rumor. Do you realize that people have the wrong impression of us when they think you're my secret lover? I don't want to start any new rumors by spending the night with you. My relationship with Siera is also not going well," the king admitted bitterly.
Lyn, on the other hand, feels a deeper bitter emotion in her heart when she hears his comments. Yes, she was aware of the rumor, but she never explained it to anyone. She doesn't want to waste time explaining when no one wants to hear her explanation. So, despite the fact that a court lady was speaking directly in front of her about the rumor, she chose to remain silent and let it be.
"You are correct, I am tired and frustrated with my current situation, and I desperately need to rest. Thank you for your concern; I value it. But that's all there is to it." Gwi draws a clear line between them, stating that they have nothing exceptional, contrary to common opinion. He doesn't want anyone else to believe otherwise.
"Do you despise me because I can't behave properly and cause everyone to misinterpret us? I'm just glad to be with someone of the same race as me. I didn't mean anything more about it," the female werewolf remarked.
"There is no way I could despise you. I'm also delighted to meet you. I don't mind if you address me by name, but don't do it in front of Siera or in public. Can you make me a promise for that?" Gwi asks cautiously, not wanting to offend her. Lyn hardly pauses for a moment before nodding and promising him.
"I'll leave it there. Good night," the king says as he exits Lyn's room, leaving the female werewolf staring at the cold tea in the cup on the table.
Gwi returns to his room with the intention of sleeping early, but when he notices his desk, something comes to mind that makes him want to look for it right now. The king gathered all of the murder case reports involving werewolves, hoping to locate a red thread that would lead to the discovery of the perpetrator.
He carefully studies the victims' drawings and compares them; they are really comparable and distinct wounds that can only be created by the werewolf. But who is the werewolf responsible, and what is their motivation? He had lived among humans and believed that werewolves had been extinct, leaving him alone on the earth. He had been thinking this for decades because there had been no trace of a werewolf for a long time.
But then Lyn appears, and he continues to locate other werewolf traces in distant locations. His very presence in society is enough to cause controversy and fear for people all around the kingdom, but now it appears that there is another werewolf out there who despises humans and intends to harm them. If this continues, he fears a conflict between humans and his original race, which he does not want to happen.
As the monarch continues to focus on his document, he realizes that his eyelids are becoming heavy. He lacks the strength to open his eyes or transfer to his bed in order to sleep comfortably. He fell asleep on his chair, his head resting on the backrest. His body has given up as he falls deeper into slumber.
As the night grows darker, the king serene's gorgeous face gradually develops a frown. His temples were sweating profusely as he murmured some words. Gwi is currently having a nightmare. In his dream, he hears a voice with no face ringing all around the location.
"You are a killer! You murder us! You murder our family!" those words echo in a terrible void.
"You are a killer!" Gwi is terrified as the voice gets closer. The king ran away, his chest heavy and out of breath. When he is about to come to a dead end, the Daekhram people materialize in a flash and block his path. In a split second, he was encircled by a swarm of human figures coated in blood. They go closer and Gwi becomes afraid.
He squating on his spot because he can't get away, and his entire body gradually shrinks. His adult body transforms into his juvenile self. The Daekhram Villanger then collects pebbles and begins to throw them at his small body while condemning him as a murderer. The incident is akin to something that happened in his past.
The scenario quickly shifts to the period when his parents are murdered in front of him. When his parents' bodies fell to the ground, the little Gwi sobbed uncontrollably. But then his parents awaken and stand tall, covered in blood. They take a wobbly stride towards Gwi.
"Why did you allow us to die? You are a murderer!!" His parents hold him responsible for their deaths. Gwi flees as fast as he can, but while he runs, his body progressively transforms into his werewolf form. He notices Siera standing not distant from him.
Gwi, the werewolf, appears to Siera and sinks his fangs into her white neck. Even though he struggles to abstain from hurting the woman he loves, the black magic has complete possession of him. He continues to attack Siera with all of his might, causing her lifeless body to tumble to the ground.
"Hah!!" The king jerks up from his position after waking up from his nightmare. His breathing is labored, and his brow is dripping with sweat His face is filled with anguish as all the tragedies that occurred in his life in the past return to haunt him in his dream.
When he recalls killing his wife in his dream, he quickly stands up and rushes out of his room. Because it is already late, the hallway is dark and empty. The king takes a deep breath and walks quickly to the queen's chamber. The sound of his breath filled the dark, empty hallway.
As the king was already in front of the queen's chamber door, he flung it open, startling the servant who had fallen asleep alongside it. The monarch rushes inside the room, with the servant trailing behind him in panic.
"Your Majesty, the queen is already sleeping," remarked the servant. But it doesn't stop Gwi from getting closer to Siera's bed.
The queen, who hears everything, gradually awakens and sits on her bed. She tries to adapt her foggy vision and notice her husband standing in front of her.
"Gwi?" she asks, perplexed. Siera notices that Gwi is pale and frightened. She then looked at the servant, signaling for the servant to leave her chamber and allow the two of them to talk.
Gwi is fixated on Siera's figure. Her pajamas fall off her shoulder, revealing her pure white neck and inner arm. Her white skin has striking scars that drew his attention. Gwi's face is horrified as the king notices the scar on her arm and shoulder. He moves in closer, planting a delicate kiss on her neck, shoulder, and arm. As he kisses her lovingly, tears stream down his cheeks.
"This must have hurt so much, I'm really sorry," he states tremblingly. He leans against her neck.
"The scars have healed well, and it has been a long time. Why did you suddenly become like this again? Are you having a nightmare?" Siera gently caresses Gwi's cheeck and notices that it is wet from tears.
She then cups his face with her hand, forcing Gwi to gaze at her intently. His eyes are filled with anguish and despair. She understands that if he decides to battle the Daekhram people, he will have to blame himself for what happened to them, which will cause him to have a nightmare.
"It must be difficult to live with a nasty werewolf like me? Do you despise me, Siera?" His tone is pleading. Siera smiles and shakes her head, but her eyes are sorrowful. She can't handle seeing him in so much anguish while carrying such a heavy weight with himself.
"Can you then put your trust in me? Would you trust me if, no matter what happened in the future, I kept making decisions that could disappoint you?" As his sight wanders within her eyes, his voice begs.
"Yes, I would put my trust in you. So, could you please relax now?" Despite Siera's assurances that she would trust him, Gwi sobbed even more. He now feels awful and useless.
"Please?" The queen attempts to encourage him by gently stroking his cheeck. She is staring at him with sympathy and concern.
"I miss you..." Gwi eventually responds, his deep, compassionate stare on her.
Siera feels as if her heart is bursting at the seams. She had yearned for his loving side like this for quite some time. She is overjoyed and moved as he reveals his former self, who has always loved her gently.
The queen carefully wraps her arms around Gwi's neck, staring at him intently. Her expression is enticing. Gwi can feel his heart racing like crazy right now. He can see that her eyes are telling him that she wants a kiss, or perhaps more. However, she chose to remain still while waiting for him to take the initiative.
The king can't resist her temptation any longer, and he quickly but tenderly pulls the queen into his hug. He wrapped his powerful arm over her small body, exploring her lip. He can't contain his desire for her and hoping for a passionate kiss like that.
They share a passionate kiss as if they haven't kissed in years and as if there will never be another tomorrow to feel their lips joined like that again. They are thirsty for both.
