Chapter 30 Friend or Foe?
Gwi and Siera are mesmerized by each other as they are dragged into their passionate kiss; they want more than just a kiss and their bodies become warmer. They join their lips and suck lightly, as if they were breathable air for one another. When the oxygen in their lungs depletes and makes breathing difficult, they take a brief pause to inhale fresh air. Siera realizes that Gwi's passionate eyes are still filled with anguish, so she draws him closer and forces the king to lie on her bed as she positions herself on top of him. The queen wants to go closer to her husband because his face is flushed with embarrassment. Siera begins kissing his eyes, nose, and lips. While the queen led the intense kiss this time, she also went through his garments, removing every fabric that was concealing his upper body. "I love you, Gwi," she whispers gently against his ear, sending a chill and electricity through his body as her hand begins to explore more of his body. That night, they express their love for one another while taking turns leading. They stay awake till the sun comes up. Gwi rested his head on Siera's arm and let his body be taken into her embrace after they shared their love as a wedded pair. His eyelids are heavy as exhaustion overwhelms him. Siera, on the other hand, is simply studying his expression as she strokes his head in the aim of calming him down. "I have a nightmare when I masacre Daekhram villager and they come back to blame me, it's lead me to another nightmare of the moment when my parents died and the day when I had injured you and put you on the verge of death back then," Gwi hoarse deep voice talking in a low voice while keeping his eyes closed. "I heard from Thierry that you'd had a lot on your mind for days since the battle of Daekhram. What happened over there?" The queen is concerned about what Thierry told her previously. Especially when Gwi appeared in her bed after having a nightmare about Daekhram. Something dreadful must have happened there to have taken up the king's mind alone now. Gwi remains silent and does not respond to her question. He continues to close his eyes, but he does not fall asleep. He's still debating whether he should tell the queen about what he discovered in Daekhram regarding the possibility that a werewolf sabotaged the village, causing them to lose their lives. The mystery werewolf even threw the venom they were spitting into the village's water supply, which is lethal to humans. Siera had requested him to do further investigation into why Daekhram was so keen to split their region from the Hwon Kingdom, but Gwi made the choice to attack them in a hurry. He must admit that the story Lyn told him about the villager who killed another werewolf pack enraged him and became one of the reasons he decided to battle the Daekhram. Could Siera accept the truth about all of this if she discovered it? Could she comprehend? Even if he repents of what he did, he cannot bring death back. As a result, he remains silent and pretends to sleep. The queen, on the other hand, notices Gwi's quiet breath, as if he is dozing off. She's not sure if he doesn't answer her inquiry because he's sleeping or because he doesn't want to speak about the problem with her. She is disappointed with it because she cannot find an answer to her question. But she knows that for the time being, she wants her husband to rest properly, so she refuses to pursue further answers. "Have a nice dream, love," she whispers as she kisses his brow. She begins to close her eyes, as she is in desperate need of sleep. For a while, there is no other voice except their quiet breath. Gwi and Siera are depicted as a sleeping pair. However, once the king is certain that his queen has indeed gone asleep, he carefully opens his eyes. Gwi looks silently at Siera's sleeping face. They haven't had a night like that in a long time. He feels bad because he hasn't spent enough time with her lately and has only come for her in this manner. He is unable to give any significant information concerning the situation. Is it okay to conceal all of this from Siera? "I'm sorry," the king says as he cautiously pulls himself from the queen's embrace, not wanting to wake up his wife, who has just fallen asleep. Gwi gathered all of his garments and put them on his body. He checks on the queen and adjusts the blanket to appropriately cover her body. He doesn't want Siera to develop a cold while sleeping naked. After ensuring that the queen's body is suitably covered, the king silently exits her bedroom. Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the Hwon Kingdom. As the sun begins to show its shape, a big beast moves at fast speed across the woodland. Its powerful feet cause the ground around it to vibrate. The beast is a male werewolf with dark brown fur. He ran in a specific direction towards the Capital. When he notices a town nearby, he comes to a halt and transforms into a man. The man donned a veil to conceal his face and cover his head. He then approaches a lodge and enters it. The first floor of the lodge serves as a lobby and dining area for the guests; however, at this early hour, there are few people who come to the dining room because most of them are still sleeping in their rooms. However, there is a handsome man with a tall and strong body sitting in the corner room, with red pupils. His hair is a lustrous navy color. A gorgeous woman leans next the man, putting her head on his shoulder while the man wraps his arms around her waist. The woman has wavy blonde hair and a rose-colored lip. "My lord" The man with the veil approaches the two lovers and bows his head, graciously welcoming his lord. Lycaon is the name of his master, the alpha werewolf who is the strongest in his pack. He is a royal werewolf with direct ancestry to the first pure werewolf. There is a belief that the royal werewolf possesses such strength that he cannot be defeated by another werewolf. Lycaon is Lyn's older brother. "So, did you finish the task on Daekhram?" Lycaon inquires of his subordinate. "Yes, my lord, the entourage of Hwon Kingdom led by the king had wiped out everyone in Daekhram. As you suggest, we successfully kill our adversary without directly laying our hands on them" remarked the man in the veil. "Impressive, then how about that king, what was his name again? Gwi? Did he notice our move?" inquires the alpha werewolf once more. "Yes. He's quite astute. He can see the trail we left, just as you predicted. I'm sure he's aware of our existence by now." "Good. He must be aware that he is not the only werewolf in the area. If the humans give him the power to be their king, he should protect us with his own race and provide a suitable area for us to live among them. With our strength, we can easily take down the human. Why should he fight so hard to win a human heart instead of staining our pride as a more powerful creature?" Lycaon said mockingly every time the monarch was mentioned in a conversation. He was thrilled the first time he learned that the king of Hwon Kingdom is a werewolf because he thought his race would get a chance to control the human and exact their vengeance on those who continuously forcing their pack to death. But when he discovers that Gwi has been attempting to be kind to the human who has been hunting their kind down, he becomes enraged. He despises the king for betraying their race and siding with humans. The king of a werewolf should provide a safe haven for his fellow werewolves so they can live happily without fear of humans, but why didn't Gwi do so? Lycaon was resolved to do whatever it took to convince the king of his stance and persuade him to rejoin his species in order to exact revenge on the human who had murdered their family. He would come in any manner he could to break the exceptional bond between Gwi and the human in order for his plan to succeed. "Are we going to proceed now, my lord? When would we reveal ourselves in front of the king?" inquires the man in a veil. "Not yet, no. We should generate more horror to make people fear us before we unveil our faces in public. The greater their terror, the greater the benefit to us. Now is the time to use Lyn," Lycaon remarked with a chilly and malicious sneer.
