Chapter 35 The Arrival of Creature from Mirac Planet
"Why don't you want to marry me, Dan Oh?" Woon inquired, his eyes saddeningly fixed on the ground. Dan Oh massages her temples and exhales deeply. She doesn't want to discuss this matter in this manner, especially if it gives Woon the impression that she doesn't want him.
"It's not that I don't want it, Woon; it's just that I'm not ready... Not yet," Dan Oh said, emphasizing her final statement.
She wishes he will quit talking about marriage. It would be a lie if she never thought about marriage at all. But there's something nagging her about it that she's not ready to discuss with her lover just yet. She simply wants him to accept her decision for the time being.
"We've been together for three years now, and if this is Mirac, I'm sure we've spent many more years together..." The man continued, reminding her of their relationship. He believes the moment has come for them to begin a more serious relationship. After all, he didn't come all the way here to end their relationship in this manner.
"Unfortunately, this is not Mirac Woon, and everything is different here..." replied the petite lady. Woon smirks as she issues a strong warning about their surroundings. Her remarks make him feel as if there is a great barrier between them. It reminds him that they are two distinct individuals from a different dimension that is vastly different from one another.
"Yeah, sure," he says quickly.
Dan Oh is well aware that his brief response indicates that he is dissatisfied with the situation. She doesn't want them to argue again when they need to reconcile right now. As a result, she tries to gently grasp Woon's hand.
"Woon, if you please. We don't need to get all up about this again. I don't want us to go into another unpleasant situation. For the time being, let's just return home. We can talk about it later when we're both calmer." Dan Oh tries to persuade Woon to return to her apartment and live with her once more. It's very lonely without him.
Woon does not instantly respond and remains silent for a moment, while Dan Oh simply waits for his answers. The man then pulls his hand away from her and stands up.
"If we have different perspectives on our relationship, I don't think we can keep it the way it is right now. Let's spend some time alone thinking about this relationship and deciding what we really want from it," the tall man remarked before walking away from Dan Oh.
She wants to say something to convince him to stay, but she can't think of anything. As a result, Dan Oh can only remain passively on her location, watching Woon's shadow fade away and disappear from view.
Finally, Dan Oh must return to her apartment without Woon, who refuses to accompany her. She placed her purse and laptop on the table as soon as she entered her apartment. To rest her mind, she takes a warm relaxing bath. Woon's final words before leaving her linger in her thoughts.
Dan Oh slept alone again that night. In her dream, she sees herself and Woon dressed up for a wedding. They have a gorgeous son who keeps bringing joy and laughter into their lives. But suddenly the scenario abruptly changes as she witnesses two planets collapsing into one, a slew of odd creatures arriving on Earth, and a war breaking out. She suddenly notices Woon is surrounded by uncontrollable burning flames. The fire rages forward, destroying everything in its path. The surroundings are all crimson with the light of the fire and the sound of people shouting.
"Tititititit," the alarm rings, forcing Dan Oh to open her eyes. When she wakes up, it's already dawn. She slowly rises, touching her face. She then exhales deeply.
"Why does that dream keep coming back?" she asks herself.
She doesn't like the dream that has been haunting her since the first time she reunited with Woon three years ago. She's not sure why, but the dream feels like it's trying to tell Dan Oh something she doesn't understand.
"How I wish you were here, Grandma," she says.
Dan Oh coerces herself to stand. No matter how awful her fantasy was, she had a real life to live. She still has a lot of tasks to complete. Dan Oh would not meet with Mykel today since she needed to finish the manuscript she was working on right now. As a result, she will work from home to complete her new narrative.
Before going to work, she takes a bath and eats a simple breakfast of toast. Because she is a heavy eater, a plain toast would not satisfy her. But she is too sluggish to cook or place a delivery order. She wants to create a positive mood and atmosphere in order to write as quickly as feasible.
Dan Oh brings her laptop to her favorite location to work, her bed. She leaned on the bed rest while placing the laptop on the bed's side table. She prepares water nearby so she can drink it without moving. She must concentrate while beginning her work without interruption. She soon became engrossed in the fantasy narrative she had created and focused on anything in her head.
"Ting tong ting tong," she hears her doorbell ring, which quickly disrupts her concentration. When Dan Oh receives an unexpected disturbance, she frowns. Who would come and disrupt her when she needed to focus? It got on her nerves.
She walks lazily to the door and opens it without looking to see who could be there. To her amazement, a tall gorgeous man stands in front of the door, nervously smiling. Dan Oh, who was first upset by the disruption, is filled with excitement when she discovers her boyfriend standing in front of her door.
"Woon-ah," she whispers affectionately, wrapping her hands around his towering frame.
Woon's appearance in front of her door could be a hint that he is no longer bothered by their dispute. That's why Dan Oh is ecstatic about it.
"I miss you," she says, clutching to his waist and peering at him from her vantage point. Woon's smile brightens as a result of her tone of voice and expression. He couldn't be upset at her when she's so adorable.
"I do some thinking and realize that no matter what happens or how our relationship develops, I just want to be with you," he says honestly. Dan Oh was moved by his words, and she felt the same way. His words make her eyes well up with tears, and she wants to cry.
"I want to be with you as well," she replies lovingly. Woon then ruffled her hair in a playful yet affectionate manner. They then walk into the apartment together.
"Are you working right now?" Woon inquires after noticing a laptop on her bed. She nods and says she has to finish the text tonight.
"Then I'll make you lunch," the man adds.
"Lunch? Is it already afternoon?" Dan Oh is surprised since she hasn't noticed how quickly time has passed. She has yet to begin anything properly. She sprints to her laptop and begins working more intently.
Woon chuckles as he witness her behaviour. It seem that she just lose track of time while working again. Once Dan Oh comeback to her bed, Woon on the other hand go to the kitchen to prepare the lunch for them. The two of them keep their self busy with their own activity.
Dan Oh is writing on her story once more when she feels a vibration from her phone. She looks down at her phone. Her senior editor is on his way. She promptly picks up the phone and answers it.
"Yes, sunbaenim? I planned to finish the manuscript before the deadline tonight. I'm still working on it." Dan Oh informs it immediately, even if the editor has yet to blurt forth any words. She is confident that her editor would call her at that time to inquire about the status of the submission.
"That is not the case. That is also significant. But did you know that the discovery of a little creature infant in Seoul Forest Park has sparked a social media frenzy? Many of your admirers reported that the creature is the same as one from your earlier work! It's become a hot topic now," the editor says.
The facts confused and shocked her. The editor then sent Dan Oh a video link so she could better comprehend the situation. Dan Oh is astonished and rushes to the living room after receiving the video. She instantly turned on the television to see if there was any news about it.
Woon, who notices Dan Oh panicking, joins her and asks what happened. But she remains silent and continues to change the channel on the television. She finally comes to a halt as she finds what she is seeking for.
"A strange tiny creature has been discovered near Seoul Forest Park; they are very small and shaped like a tiny baby, but have wings and can fly," a reporter stated, as a video of the adorable creature was shown on a national television screen.
The small creature appears terrified as people place it on a glasses stand. Many people came to see the bizarre and unusual cute monster they have never seen before. Dan Oh and Woon exchanged bewildered and worried looks.
"Antutu!" said the two simultaneously.
"We still don't know what kind of creature it is, so the Minister of Environment ordered that it be placed in a conservation center so that we can learn more about it," the reporter explained.
"What's going on?" Woon is as perplexed as Dan Oh at the moment.
Except for the gateway connecting the two dimensions, there is no way a creature from Mirac Planet could be on Earth. However, the link would only be connected if a rare event occurred, such as the appearance of a specific Super Moon, which could only happen once every eleven years on Earth and once every sixty four years on Mirac. However, it had only been four years since the link was last connected, allowing Woon to visit Earth.
So, what's going on right now? What is the significance of Antutu's presence on Earth? Download Novelah App
