Chapter 29-End

We're Gifted
Chapter 29
Kashton's POV:
My attention was caught when I heard a loud scream of Kriza’s name. I looked around to see where Kriza was. I was shocked to see Kriza fall from the sky to the ground with ice spikes on the ground.
Until I realize I was running to catch her. I turned to my side, I was not the only one running towards Kriza but also her friends.
I was in front of her. I was trembling when I tried to reach her.
"K-kriza ..." I'm too close to hold her but instead I clenched my fist.
Its too late. She was slumped. She was stabbed with a spike made of ice in her chest.
Blood stained at the tip of the spike can be seen. Her blood dripping on the ground.
I squeal.
"Help me get her!" I shouted looking toward her friends
"If we take what's stuck in her chest, she might lose blood." A straight hair witch said. She restrains herself from crying.
"Hold her. We're going to cut the ice spike." A guy who seems to be a smart one.
We immediately followed him. After we cut that spike we laid Kriza on the ground.
I felt relieved when I knew she was breathing but, she still closes her eyes.
I turn around facing Timothy "You are a witch right, Timothy? You must know the healing spell. Heal her." I said desperately. "I beg you, save my sister." I pleaded
My tears started to fall but I restrain it.
Timothy walk near Kriza.
"All the witches that still have a strength to cast a spell surround her." Timothy ordered
They immediately obeyed Timothy's order. I step backwards to give them enough space.
Everyone chant the healing spell simultaneously.
"By Earth and Air
By Fire and Water
So shall you hear my call.
Powers of birth and rebirth,
Powers of silence and peace,
Heal her body and mind!"
"Dad, it doesn't work. The healing spell doesn't work on Kriza." A witch wiping her tears
I bit my lower lips. I don't know what to do at this moment. They are the only one who can help her.
"Let's chant another healing spell." A straight hair witch who seems to be Timothy's daughter suggested
They all nodded and ready to chant.
"Wrap thee in cotton,
Bind thee with love
Protection from pain surrounds life a glove.
May the brightest of blessing surround thee on this night
For thou art cared for, healing thoughts are sent to you in flight!"
After those chants, Timothy turn around and lower his head.
"Timothy, did you heal her?" I asked
"We only stop the bleeding. We don't fully heal her." Timothy answered.
I get near Kriza and kneeled down. She slowly open her eyes.
"K-kriza hang in there." I said
"Sis Kriza don't you dare sleep." a witch threatened
"I-i m-meet m-mom and dad." Kriza stuttered
I caress her hand.
She cough blood. Her pale skin and tired eyes are what I saw.
I-i killed many people, that is why this happens to me. I must repent for my sins." She said weakly.
Pain can be seen on her eyes.
" No, it wasn't your fault Kriza."I convinced her.
She shook her head.
Kriza's friends approached her.
Kriza in her pocket and handed it to a man. It was a blue hair clip.
"Kept it, Zyck. I remembered you a few days ago. "Kriza said.
A man took it." It's yours. "A guy said
Kriza shook her head.
She coughed again but this time it takes longer. Her chest rose and fell with a rapid breaths.
I made her sit down slowly and I let her lean on me. I heard her agony when I did it.
She held the spike that was stuck in her chest her clothes were stained with her own blood. She slowly pulled it out. We tried to stop her but, she didn't listen to us.
"Ahhhhhh!" her screams echoed the whole place whe she pulled it. After she pulled the spike she threw it on her left side.
"I'm sleepy." Kriza said with her weak voice
"Kriza, no, no, no. You mustn't sleep. "I said to her
She leaned her head on my shoulder. I hugged her with my one hand. My other hand holding her cheek.
I bit my lower lip to stop from crying.
You're the only one left to me, Kriza. Don't leave me. I just meet you, now. I just hug you, now. Kriza ...
"I saw mom, dad and granny standing in front of me." She said
I heard her friends cried.
"I can't see anything." Kriza whispered I looked at her.
She said something but I can't clearly hear it. She slowly smiled and closed her eyes. I patted her face. I tried to wake her up.
"Kriza, wake up .... Kriza, don't sleep. Even now just don’t sleep." I pleased her
I did everything to wake her up but she didn't. I keep convincing myself she will awake. She just tired.
I hugged her lifeless cold body.
My whole body numb. I bereave.
I must accept the cold truth that she will never be awaken.
I look at the sky.
The sky was tar-black and the large clouds were moving towards me. I heard a tapping on the ground and then it became a pitter-patter.  The ground danced with spray and I could hear the murmuring of the rain. It sounded like the buzzing of angry bees.
The droplets of rain hit my face. My clothes were being dotted by it.
Everyone grieving because of the death of my sibling.
Even the sky joined us.
"May you rest eternally in sweet slumber, Kriza..."
