"You're here for something?" Grandma asked. Basically, she didn't seem that grumpy at all. I knew grandma as this cold elderly woman who luck self reliance, she's like a stone in a rock—I mean jewel in a stone that needs breaking. Once it get struck by an object, it will explode. Like my explanation, my grandmother is like that. Complicated... Nothing more, nothing less. Beside, I don't think I came to visit her for something. Never heard of such thing, nor remember it from Lucifer's memory. It's not a thing, so why is she so grumpy that her grandson just want to visit her? Really, she's very complicated. "Can I not come to visit my grandmother? In isolation to this place you call home, do I need reason to be here?" I ask in displeasure before clicking my tongue. She then shook her head chuckling. "You didn't even bother visiting me, so I assume you came here for something—" she paused and looked at Reyes who was beside me, he kneeled and greeted her before her gaze shifted back to me. "So I've heard, you want to enter the labyrinth?" How could she knew news faster than pigeon? What the hell? Of course, with Reyes here that's possible but even with Reyes as her royal chaperone, that's still faster than anything I had seen. Beside, how could Reyes send message when he is always busy? No, it's possible that the spy is Reyes. Did he also told her about them? I'm not quite sure how much she knew. I erased everything including that would expose what I have in order to protect those whom I found. Even if grandma admitted that she didn't hate them—humans, she will still find this suspicious. The labyrinth, many people knew the oath. I don't seem find it strange for her to hear the news, since Reyes may or may not told her the news. "That's right, the labyrinth is like a game but only by entering labyrinth can I achieve the goal I have." "You know, you might die trying," she said. Of course I knew the risk, but I have trust with my survival skills earned from my first life experience, I will survive any structure of challenges that will come on my way. "Such strange soul that subjecting your body, Lucifer of all kind, what did my idiot son feed you?" She said smiling. Did she have to insult me, god this old woman is pissing every angle of my bones. It's really within blood, doesn't it? Although that was probably directly to the former owner of this body, and I ain't calling him Lucifer because the system just manipulated everything. I stiffly smiled back. "Grandma is getting old, do you need to rest?" I ask trying to be polite but she just laughed at me. Then she breathed out before waving her bands, and the servants helped her get off the bed. "Stop your stupid jokes, and come, let's have a tea together." Okey, when did she enjoy having tea 'together' is she also been possessed? That's extremely suspicious. "What the hell in heaven are you waiting for?" Is it fine to insult heaven? Anyways, she is a monster so the rules of the human continent doesn't also apply to us, descendant of demons—or so, how they call us. I silently approached the set of chair and table designed beside the windows, grandma was carefully being helped to sit on one of them. Due to her sickness, she was unable to stand still when walking so they needed someone to help and assist her from walking. Once she was settled, I followed and sat beside her. The servants that was on the hallways earlier, carefully walked in with tray and food at there hands. I waited for everything to finish, watching as everyone carefully place the tea cups and plates around the table, once done with the final I immediately fake a cough. "How much time left?" I ask. Grandma look at me with her smile steadily, then she shifted her gaze outside the window watching the bright sun turn into a gloomy dark clouds that suddenly appears. The wind became restless and so the nature, I knew grandma is nearing death but I still couldn't help but to ask. She chuckles trying to hide the distraught inside her eyes. "Unfortunately, not much actually, the doctor said that I should be fine, and I won't feel anything at all. So that few moments, I'll just live it." I looked away and breathed out. It's such unfortunate indeed, but life is too much for one to bare. Sometimes it will end likely in an ending we all want to share, but grandma is still young, even though the age and appearance of an ogre is different, we can't bypass the age gap of reality and grandma in a human age is barely 60's Although in human age, that is already old enough to be called elder but not for us monsters, that age is still a young woman, or a young man. So technically grandma is still young to die, she could reach certain age just like our ancestors that is why we live longer. "Even if we live longer, we can't seem to escape death," I mumbled to myself but I intentionally let her hear it. "Are you really going to give up, don't you want another chance, grandma?" She looked at me with confusion, however, she started gathering her strength to response. "I am beyond fixed, I cannot be cured, don't give me high hopes." I breathed out and look at the window. Then I flickers my finger, this creates a wavelength, that reached afar, and then the rain stop only for a few second, I flickers my finger once more and the rain run faster, I wanted to show her this, that I can do it if she seeks it. Using the ability to manipulate time for few second, I can do much as to let time passes outside slower or faster. "The magic of this world is like a flow of water, without molecules, it shutters in constant particles but if atom is embroidered with molecules, it become easy to control like any other river flow." Then I point my hands against the hair, there I wrote ancient language, probably scribbles of the oldest text. "What? Ancient Language? H-how?" I look at her, and she was there shocked and confused, so I nodded. "You see, the Ancient Language was buried along the history, but it was said that some old book was documented about it. When they found the ancient literacy, it was deciphered by few people, since then it was taught to us how the Ancient Language works but none was able to use it against spell." That was according to Tartys, he told me that the Ancient Language was usually used for academic texts, but it was also meant to be written in spells and magic, however, ever since it was decipher, no one was able to use it in spells or magic. It was already been deciphered, but how would you use it? That's right, no one thought of using the Ancient Language to this extent. No one thought of using air, and molecules to connect them in one knot. This was recently been discovered, I had Tartys help with the creation and now the Ancient Language can be use in such thing. What can it do? It enhances anything that sees. Swords, stones, anything physical. Even the ground itself, however humans may call this enchantment spell, like any other games I've seen. We can write, rewrite and create consideration for the physical things we enhanced. If possible, even clothes can be enhanced. "Turn this tablet and it will rewrite itself," I breathed out before flickering my fingers. "This was abilities, I've been working hard to achieve, only that it is not yet perfect." "I know how to cure you," I said not beating around the bush. There is a way to cure a said illness that has no treatment, and I knew how but it will take time to perfect that ability, so I'll need the labyrinth's power for me to achieve. "Enough, I've long passed the age, we all know that." It's not that I'm lying, I may know a way but that doesn't mean I'm lying. This world is full of possibilities, and any possible outcome will hence lead to what I call results. I smirked and smile even though I look like I'm getting mad. "Twist your fate grandmother, I'll take that damn disease out of your body, just trust me this once, your not getting old—perhaps hahaha." They won't tell if I'm joking or not but I love to see them try. I'll doubt with this funny face, they think I'm joking around. However, I am testing their ability to trust someone they think as useless and burden—that will make me have reassurance to those I trust. Grandmother soon give a long and bore smirk before looking outside the window. "Then do your worst, let me see you try." Of course, grandma... I won't let you die...
