Chapter 18: Forged Sun

During my weeks of visit, we decided to take grandma out of the mansion, and she finally agreed to come back, however, due to her heavy illness, I have no other choice but to transfer her using magic, in case the location will indicate it doesn't matter where and what makes me believe that is because I was confident in the human village.
I told grandma I raised a village that has their life taken away by the one name "Viole" and she told me that Viole was our great ancestor, the strongest mage of her era. I didn't knew her magic was that strong enough to survive years, and I didn't knew that they are comparable to the ogre's life.
You see, Viole, our greatest ancestor is also our great grandparents. Viole live her life longer than any of our other ancestors, so within her last breath, after using an amount of power, she was declared dead. Viole had a vision that grandma has spoken, all about the ancestral gene of loving the human race.
Our ancestors call this a curse, some call a blessing, others like me and grandma call this coexistence. However, within those years, we are forbidden in harming the life of a human, much why my father's blood is cursed that can pass through genetics.
The human blood—is the only solution for the curse to be lifted. However, even if we are programmed to love humans, we or my blood despite them. During around the age of 10, my father tried to coexist with humans but failed because of temptation, my grandmother tried to reach out to the humans and lost her will to fight.
That is why I will attempt what they have done using the hand of evil, that way I can proudly say that I raise humans capable of accepting monsters and befriend beasts. This attempt, I wish they expect even if I will use any means necessary including evil. I am not friendly enough to use merciful acts, I am a man of justice as well.
That sound weird but anyways. The capacity of the transfer is only one, and one for the person who performs the transfer. Reyes agree that he'll stay, and he will travel using the manual ways. So I produce the portal—which took so much time to finish, I had to draw out so much portion of mana for a one person but I knew the reason.
Tartys hasn't been upgraded so his level is lower than man. My mana storage can only be acceptable if the status has higher level than mine and the only way to level up is by fighting monsters or demons. The only place capable of producing monsters without a hassle—the labyrinth which will raise the status level and mind to which higher than mine.
That is why I only have few mana left in me, because the transfer ability consumed lot of mana, and a normal magician of level 2 can't even create transfer. Unless, they are 15, it will be "barely" created transfer can be done and I won't say even if they are strong as the 5th prince—myself in the pass, this is impossible.
"That skill is a rare type of magic, how did you do it?" A level 50 can use transfer freely but I haven't worked to level status so his not doing fine. Given the fact that status is level 5 and I am level 10 is outrageous.
"Few tricks, and understand the spell, or how will you able to use the skills. It's all about observation, calculation and patience. This type of training made me realize that time is faster than me, since I am to slow compared to anyone."
If I compare my wasted skills to a pro, I'm nothing but the spec in there eyes. Even in first brother's point or view, I was nothing but even if I was the weakest, they won't know the difference, and being able to do it freely enlighten me to understand one thing. "Patience is the key," well that's all because Tartys was beside me.
"You sound like Goddess Valora, she talks about morals and values. However, that is true, patience is indeed the key."
I laughed and smile. "Goddess Valora sacrificed humans when she was alive," there is one goddess—amongst other gods that being worshipped by humans five thousand years ago. Goddess Valora was one of the few who took respect as an act of morale, and vengeance as benevolent. However, she is also known to be the Goddess who sacrificed human lives for mere conclusions.
Her moral is different to mine. She use her moral, and I used to be open minded. The difference is—I died being that kind of person and never did regret it. My life as veteran soldier was cruel and harsh, but along the way is my appreciation towards justice.
"So you've seen the thousand years of archives?" She ask and I nodded.
"So it was you who hid it," I stopped and remembers the time I found that rusted and lame trap which lead me to the secret chambers and fell a high fit and traps until I was safe. "I almost died there."
I didn't see those coming, and the library hasn't been visited by my brothers before so when I saw the scroll, it was untouched. "That's the reason why they are being set, anyhow, the scroll was prepared to cover the details of five thousand years ago, and the tales left by the ancestral civilians."
They contain high and confidential informations that not even royalties are allowed to read. "My brothers don't visit the library, and the servants hated the chamber. So it hasn't been cleaned since your time, it was dusty and smelly as well."
She laughed. "Your father didn't like the library too, but I'm glad you are different."
Yeah, because I wasn't the original who possess this body. I have no physical body, and my soul wonders around until I was taken by god himself. The one who rules beyond the worlds, and the one who told me to live my life in a form with a system by my side.
I look closely at the magic circle I have wrote and breathed out. "This sure took a lot of time to finish, I am too slow, so I'll apologize..."
As the light from the magic circle carefully lighten up, a door like portal was created above it. There a huge force blow fastest making me look away. "Can you walk?" I ask grandma and she snore.
"Do I look like I won't?" She said and I was surprise that she suddenly stand up from the bed and she walks beside me.
"So this is the rare teleportation circle?"
I nodded. "It's imperfect but I can transfer you without a hassle, oh and hold me so we won't be separated."
Just like I said, she took my hands and nodded. The portal is incomplete, even if it looks rather complete, I cannot risk anything if I do not hold grandma tightly. So I decided that it will be better if she hold against me, this way we won't get separated from the transfer.
"Reyes, be careful on the way!"
---
It didn't took any longer than second for us to reach the borders—or so I thought, we weren't on the castle, in fact, because I couldn't say anything, we we're being watched humans in silence.
The transportation circle worked, but was imperfect causing it as fracture of failure against the said spell. Even though the location was shifted, it's not so bad as many claimed in internet. In fact, the location was changed due to my sense of belonging and I was transferred in the Hidden Village instead.
"I heard that you took care of humans," grandma beside murmurs. I look at her and smile. "I merely freed them and give them sun."
I didn't own them, and we didn't gain them. This people worked for us voluntarily, we don't forced them neither kidnapped them, instead we help them cooperate and learn more. They own themselves, and not mine to choose. However, I did not force them to give their loyalty.
I smile. "Yet I did not give them control, they took that and decide for themselves."
"I see," she said and nodded. "So the transfer was an error?"
I shook my head. "We are near my castle, so it won't take long walk before we reach the castle gates. For now, let's say here and coexist with humans."
Grandma flinched before laughing. "Rascal, you probably plan this, didn't you?" Would you look at that, she's quite happy for someone who isolated herself in that mansion for too long.
"I am not sure what your talking about."
Ignoring her questions as I pull her closer to the sun, then we reach the horizon, the sun glimmers within our reach, and even though this is artificial, it is beautiful than it ever been. The function of the barrier can do much, so I learn the barrier and use it when I was impressing grandma.
Pulling of those strings and making a little make over, that is how I made it. A little trick and I can make barriers times stronger than the previous—only if the status had been updated to it's finest level will I reach that goal.
"It's not real but I like it," she said and so I nodded.
