Special Chapter 5

Zandy's POV
(Before the Wedding)
"Are you sure about your decision, Zandy? You're not going to back out? You still have time to change your mind," Ton asked me again while I was sitting on the sofa in his condo unit. He sat across from me with a cup of coffee and placed it on the center table. "Do you think everything will be easy for you and Miles? I'm sure there will always be a war between the two of you," he said, shaking his head.
I'm just seriously leaning on the sofa. I'm also thinking about Miles and his wedding. I didn't think they would plan our wedding so quickly. I was surprised but since I agreed to this marriage, I didn't do anything. I also asked myself if I made the right decision and if I should continue with it.
"I already think about it, Ton, and I'm sure of my decision. I'm ready to get married because I know that in the end, everything will end in divorce," I said as if I was sure.
Ton looked at me seriously. "Don't be so sure, Zandy because we don't know what will happen after the wedding and there's always a possibility that there will be full feelings between the two of you," he said and smiled. "And besides, you both went through the same things in the past, both of you were left because of things that were more priorities of the people you loved. I'll bet, Zandy and I'll bet on the possibility of developing strange feelings between you." It seems that Ton is sure of what he said and is ready to bet.
I was silent and didn't answer immediately because I knew all the possibilities that could happen. I'm not taking that away, but I'm sure I'll never feel anything else for Miles. I love Beverly and I will wait for her.
"I'm sure, Ton that I won't feel anything for Miles, maybe Miles will," I returned.
Ton smiled and bowed for a moment. "You think Miles will love you? Because if I were her, I wouldn't be able to stay calm while being with the man who caused the pain I feel. Every day she sees you, all the pain of the past will come back to her."
"Then, I'll change her mind so that she won't feel pain while she's with me if it's not a strange feeling that she can only feel with me," I said mischievously.
"As if she will fall in love with you," Ton said.
"Why not, right? You also said that we are not in control of what will happen," I returned to him.
Ton shrugged and just snorted. "Ok, fine. By the way, I wouldn't be able to attend your wedding because we have a business meeting in Cebu," Ton said at the same time.
I just nodded.

I DON'T know why I feel nervous being carried around in a fancy car while wearing a mustard-colored wedding suit. I'm not surprised that I'm handsome in what I'm wearing, but I didn't expect that I'll be even more handsome when I wear this kind of clothing.
The car stopped in front of a rather old church. Many cars were parked around, indicating that there were many visitors there. I didn't get out of the car right away. I fixed my clothes. I feel like my body is sweating or maybe because of my double clothes and the heat of the weather.
A few minutes before I decided to get out of the car and enter the church while the photographer that my family took to capture all the moments at the wedding was taking pictures.
I saw the least number of visitors there. Almost everyone there is an acquaintance of my family because of business and some of them are probably acquaintances of Miles' family.
I never thought I would walk into a church to marry a girl I had just met. This incident is funny. I spent the whole night thinking about whether I should do it or not.
A few more minutes passed. I felt the sweat on my forehead which I immediately wiped. I am even better than the real groom who is waiting for the woman he truly loves.
A few minutes later, the wedding ritual that is already in the people's culture began. Of course, everyone who was part of our wedding walked down the aisle. I just laughed because some of the ones they took I didn't know.
Why am I nervous? Why am I excited to see Miles entering the church wearing a wedding gown?
A few minutes later, the church door opened and Miles burst into tears. Uncle Wesley and Aunt Emma led her to me. I didn't realize that I was looking at her. I never expected to see Miles in such shape, whether I admit it or not, she is beautiful. Her face shines in my eyes as she is led by her parents.
The long wedding dress and the simple facial makeup are perfect for her. Her hair was also tied in a ponytail with a few strands left on the side of her face.
I blinked and bent down for a moment when I saw that they were close to me. I swallowed. Soon they were in front of me, Miles couldn't look at me directly.
Miles' parents gave me her hand and told me to keep it and not hurt their daughter as if we loved each other.
I took her hand and even though I felt something strange, I just ignored it.
We appeared in front of the priest and until then we both argued. I also enjoy teasing her because of the expression on her face whenever she gets annoyed.
We were even surprised when suddenly someone entered the church to tell us to stop the wedding, it turned out that the church we went to was wrong.
The wedding ceremony began, similar to a traditional wedding, the Priest said something in front of us for us to answer with 'I Do'. Miles couldn't answer right away, probably nervous.
"Zandy Saavedra, do you take Miles Virgilio for your lawful wife, to have and to hold from this day, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?" the priest asked me again.
I lightly squeezed her hand before I answered. "I do, Father," I said with a serious face.
Everyone there applauded and it got even louder when the Priest announced that we were married and the words 'Kiss the bride'.
I knew Miles was nervous, and so was I but I hid it. I want to tease Miles and see her reaction when I kiss her because I know she thinks I'm gay. I slowly moved my lips to her and I saw her beautiful face more closely. Whether I admit it or not, I also felt something strange when I kissed her and felt her soft lips.
And I was surprised when she passed out while I was kissing her. Good thing I caught her. Everyone there was surprised. I quickly hugged Miles.
