Special Chapter 7

Zandy's POV
I entered Miles's family house SILENTLY. Uncle Wesley called me to tell me go go there because he wanted to talk to me.
Miles and I just moved into our own house and as I expected, it hasn't been easy for me and I know it hasn't been easy for Miles either.
But I'm excited about what can happen between Miles and me while we're under the same roof. I know we will be together for a long time but I know it will be exciting especially because I can see how Miles can get angry and annoyed with me.
I found Uncle Wesley sitting in the living room of the house. Aunt Emma wasn't there. He immediately smiled at me.
"I'm glad you came, Zandy. Have a sit," he said.
I casually smiled and sat in the seat opposite Uncle Wesley. "How are you, Uncle Wesley? How's your health?"
Uncle Wesley bowed for a moment while a smile appeared on his lips. "I'm good now, Zandy. I'm feeling good, thanks for the concern," he returned.
"I'm glad to hear that, Uncle," I said. A moment of silence prevailed over us.
"How are you and my daughter, Zandy?" Uncle Wesley broke the silence for a moment.
I looked at him seriously, then smiled. "We tried to be ok, Uncle," I confessed. "It's not easy for us to get along with each other because we both don't know each other."
Uncle Wesley's face was serious. "I understand, Zandy. I know it's not easy for you, but I hope you don't leave my daughter. I want her to be happy."
I wanted to smirk at what he said but out of respect, I didn't. "Do you think Miles will be happy while he is with the man he doesn't love?" I don't know but I feel sympathy and pity for Miles. I know she was only forced to marry me because of what happened to Uncle Wesley and she thinks it's her fault.
Uncle Wesley bent down for a moment and I could see the guilt on his face. "I don't know, Zandy, but this is the only way I know to break the curse on her. When she marries you, the curse will be broken and she won't grow old. I want her to have her own family and I want you to be that, Zandy, please, don't leave my daughter. I already gambled his happiness on you," Uncle Wesley seemed to be begging.
I heard about the curse again. I wanted to laugh but I couldn't because Uncle Wesley was in front of me. Every time I hear that, I can't help but raise my eyebrows. Seriously, they still believe in an old ritual. We are in modern times and cursing is out of fashion. That doesn't matter anymore.
I blinked and tilted my head slightly. "I'm sorry, Uncle, but I don't know how long Miles and I will be together. We both don't want marriage and we don't hold our hearts either," I explained. "But don't worry, as long as Miles and I are together, I'll take care of her," I added.
Uncle Wesley smiled. "Thank you, Zandy. I know some things shouldn't happen that we forced, but we believe that something will change," Uncle seemed sure. I just smile. "I just want you to know that my daughter is not good at housework, nor does she know how to cook. I hope you understand her and help her to learn."
I smiled too. I realized that Miles couldn't cook. "No worries, Uncle I'll cook for her," I said.
"We spoiled that child so much that she didn't learn about housework, but I know she's willing to learn. We also decided that you will live together in the same house so that she can also learn about her responsibility as your wife." Uncle Wesley's love for Miles is still there.
"You're right, Uncle she's willing to learn and I know she'll learn those things too."
"Thank you, Zandy. Take care of her. She's my princess and I want her to be happy and I want her to be happy with you."

I did not know how I would feel when I saw the news about Beverly who is now a successful model in Paris. According to the news, she is linked to a producer there, and the two are said to be dating. My heart is full of anger. I want to punch myself because of so much jealousy.
I check the news about Beverly almost every day because I want to see her. I want to share her joy because she got what she wanted. I want to witness it and I am happy for her.
"F*ck!" I mumbled while clenching my fists. I'm here in my room at my house with Miles. Because of my annoyance, I rudely threw the cell phone on the floor, causing it to break. I do not care anymore.
After I calmed myself down, I left the room with the key and left the house. I want to drink to somehow reduce the pain I feel. It's hard for me that I can't do anything while another man is shaping Beverly.
I went straight to a bar and was called there to bring Ton to join me for a drink.
"It seems I don't need to ask the reason why you are here today and getting drunk," said Ton. "I already watched the news about her so I wasn't surprised when you called me to drink with you."
"Let's drink, Ton. I want to drown myself in wine," I said. I gave him a glass and filled it with wine.
"Ok, fine," Ton agreed. "Did you say goodbye to your wife?" he asked.
I frowned. I remembered that I am already married, I almost forgot. "She doesn't care, Ton. We have our own lives and we don't invade each other's privacy," I said.
I drank the wine from my glass. I winced because of its bitterness. I also felt the heat drawn from my throat down to my stomach.
"Ok," Ton replied casually. "Isn't it unfair to Miles?"
My eyes narrowed. "Why? We're in the same situation, Ton and we don't care about each other. We're only married on paper but we don't hold each other," I explained. "Let's just drink, Ton." I poured wine into his glass again.
After a few more moments, I felt the spirit of wine in me. *F*ck, Ton! I should be with Beverly in reaching her dream. I should be the one beside her," I complained as I felt my surroundings spinning. It was obvious in my voice that the alcohol had hit.
"That's enough, Zandy. I'll take you home," said Ton. Even though I was drunk, I still understood what he was saying. I felt him support me and lead me out of the bar and into his car.
I got even more dizzy as the car drove home. I hardly know what's going on around me anymore. I just felt the car stop. Ton supports me again.
I just heard the woman's voice and I didn't know who she was because I almost closed my eyes. The woman also supports me. The next thing I felt was my body touching the soft bed.
"B-Beverly."
