Chapter 8
Day after day passed. There are some things that have passed. Right now, I feel something I never even expected before. I feel that this world is hopeless and that's what I'm painting now. Somehow I thought that way, it felt like I really didn't want to tarnish some of the things that had happened. I feel that all of this can come quickly, I guess I can only hope that everything will be fine. The painting I've been looking at and now I made it myself, it's really thrilling. I'm currently in the art room. After I thought about it, this place was indeed suitable for me and then I continued my previous activities. Today I have to finish my piece and then come back with found references. I've gotten a lot of information that there are actually very good galleries apart from grandma's gallery. I didn't know that it actually existed. Actually I only know that the gallery with the best paintings belongs only to my grandmother. Many people come there, even now grandmother always occupies the highest position among painting artists. When I was in that place, I saw lots of amazing paintings. I had never seen anything like it before and when I got up close it was just incredible. Not long after, I also thought about becoming a famous painter like my grandmother. However, all this did not go smoothly. I felt isolated and could only show my talent after I practiced hard. At that time, I had almost given up on becoming a pianist. Again I felt uncomfortable because I realized that this was not what I wanted. At that time I also started to stop and then returned to painting even though the results were not pleasing to the eye. As soon as I ventured to show off my work at an art festival, at that moment I got lucky which is currently taking me the way I should be. That feeling of disbelief is still in my mind to this day. I kept reflecting on myself and I thought it was all just a dream. However, it turned out to be the reality that was in front of my eyes. I felt an incredibly different sensation compared to the usual. I'm currently focusing on painting again. The silence in the room made me concentrate even more. Not long after that, someone opened the door of this room and when I looked it was Yolanda. That person then sat down and seemed to want to say something to me. I still have to finish my work and ignore that person a bit. From the look on his face, it looked like he was in trouble.
"Oh, Jola. You came here apparently."
“Anne. I guess I have something to say."
"Just say it."
“Recently I always get terror from strangers. I feel like I'm going crazy.”
"What? how come? Did you share your number?”
"No. I don't give out numbers to strangers at all . Unlucky."
“Does that person keep bothering you? Called you or something?”
“That person is sending threatening messages and I have absolutely no idea what they mean. Not only that, that person also sent a video of me walking near the station."
"That's terrible."
"Correct. that's why I can't calm down. What if that person knows my house? It's scarier than a ghost."
“Calm down. I think there's a workaround for that."
"How to?"
“Just report. All you have to do is report it to the authorities and show the evidence."
"The problem is I don't know who it is. And also I can't find a photo of the face of the person who terrorized me. how can that be used as evidence?”
"That is true. Then it will be difficult.”
"How about this? my life is not safe anymore What should I do?"
"You must take cover."
"Where to take cover?"
“Ah, damn it. Why would that damn person do this to you. You crazy."
"Now what should I do?"
"Calm down for now you don't make a fuss."
"I can't calm down."
“Even if you can't calm down, there are still things you must do. Now take a look at yourself. You can start practicing karate and train yourself to be strong. If it's like that, if that person shows up you can fight him. At least you broke his leg."
"You are right. I have to start strengthening myself.”
"Yes. It's good that you're awake."
"But, will that work?"
“Hey, you underestimated yourself?”
"No. I must have succeeded. Just wait."
"Oh yeah, there's also something I want to tell you."
"What's that?"
"Yuko is back."
"Ah, so it seems. I haven't met Yuko yet."
"Really?"
"Yes. our classrooms are different. ”
"Then you must meet him."
"Yes. I 'll see you later . It's been a long time, haven't seen Yuko. Even though that person was quite energetic, I didn't expect that I could fall sick that badly."
"His name is also human. Nothing will last forever with that advantage.”
"Hah? Why do you think you won't be immortal?”
"Because it will perish over time if you can't take care of it."
"That sounds like library compared to personal health."
"Hey, that's an analogy. Don't you understand?"
“Although it's an analogy, it just doesn't seem fair. Do you think your painting talent will disappear if you don't take care of it?”
“Eh?”
“Isn't that right? It's irrational."
It doesn't feel like I've finished my painting and now we're still talking in this room. Hearing Yolanda say that, I felt shaky. Some of my words seem to be nothing. Facts are really terrible. I never imagined how my life would be without my talent. I, who had just discovered my strengths and had just gotten my grandmother's approval, couldn't be willing if my talent disappeared. Maybe I 'll die. No. Prefer to die. Some people also when they lose something very precious, really love it and can't do anything after losing, they also prefer to leave this world than having to live full of pain.
"I understand now."
"Hmm?"
"You are right. it's irrational and I don't want that to happen either. What do you think if for example you live in a painful circle? Can you survive all of that?”
“It was very difficult. Let alone to endure, just breathing must be very suffocating. It's cruel when someone puts someone else into that circle. and again that human cannot be called a human.”
"So, how is it?"
“I don't know. I am also confused."
"Oh yeah, you're not at odds with Yuko are you ?"
"Of course not. You're so weird asking questions like that.”
Some little things will slowly fade away. Something unusual that became the reason everyone left him. In contrast to their good memories, past bad memories are always a strong reason to hate. Page after page has passed and now it only tells of someone stabbing each other in order to gain fame. This makes the two of them compete unhealthy and even kills one of them. The story is similar to a true story as if it were a description from a literary point of view. Yuko kept reading the novel until she didn't realize it was time to go home. When Yuko started tidying up her books, not long after that someone was heard talking to each other. Yuko could only be silent because apparently the person they were talking about was Yuko. People's smiles and greetings are sometimes fake. They don't show their honesty and only show their shells. This time, Yuko had realized that bit of rottenness to the point where she couldn't forget it. After the bell rang and all the students started to go home, it was strange that Yuko didn't see Anne. At that time, Yuko started asking the others and they told Yuko that Anne might still be in the art room. Yuko slowly walked into the room. In her mind, Yuko was sure that Anne was still in the room.
“Anne!”
"Oh, Yuko."
"Hah? Yuko?" said Yolanda.
“You two, what are you doing here? Now it's time to go home."
“Ah, we were just about to leave,” I said.
"Ah, so it seems. Come on."
"Wait, it's been a long time since we've seen each other. do you still know me?” she asked.
"Of course. You're Yolanda. I remember."
“That's great. I thought you would forget me."
“There's no way I would. You've helped me so far."
"Huh, that's nothing."
" Oh yeah, you didn't bring your painting?" Yolanda asked me.
"I accidentally left it there. I think it will be troublesome if I take her home.”
"It won't go away right?"
"No. The room is safe.”
"In that case, good."
After that, I went to class and took my bag which was still there. When finished I went home with my friends. This time is such a fun day. I feel life the way it should. After several times being annoyed by all the things that had happened, I also felt pressured because of their high expectations. However, all of that turned out to be overcome calmly. As they were walking towards their respective homes, at that moment a girl with long, beautiful hair smiled and smirked from a distance. The sun this afternoon looks very charming emitting orange light.
'That seems quite exciting,' the girl muttered to herself.Download Novelah App
